Great vibe. Fantastic for pizza. And priced well. Would say the pasta and parmi etc are good but not fantastic. But the pizza is fantastic. Can be a little slow. And allergy wasn't clear had to ask a few times each different answer. Overall I'd recommend!

Lively vibe and can get quite busy during peak hours. The pizzas are typical Italian style, thin and soft dough with just enough toppings. The truffle pizza was the best one. Was recommended to try beef cheeks next time. Pasta was so soft and very skillfully hand made. Gnocchi was tasty. Ravioli sauce was bit too sour. Dessert was delicious. The chocolate felt like it was molten lava, so smooth and creamy and rich in flavour, great for chocolate lovers. Doughnut was crunchy with some custard on top.

I like the resotto ball, margarita pizza, and the pink mojito. It's delicious. The chicken parmigiana for me too much tomatoes 😅 as I like a more cheesy chicken parmigiana with less tomato. So it's a matter of personal preferences. In general, you should try this.

The entre prosciutto platter was nice specially with the bread they served it with. And the olives they give you once you sit down are so fresh and refreshing. Margarita pizza was delish as well. The ravioli average. It would be great if they had a greater range of pasta. Only four pastas on an italian restaurant menu is weird.

Ordered 4 pizzas take away, they were all ready in time for pick up (frustrating when arriving at places for pick up and they haven’t started making it yet…) and overall a good meal shared by all.

Whilst the food was really nice, the issue for us both was the poor service. We arrived before time and waited past the booking time of 5.30 to be welcomed in. It took some time to be asked if we would like a drink and we had to flag someone down to request a dessert menu. The problem was not enough staff, it was the staff chatting amongst themselves or ignoring you if you tried to catch their eye. Service needs to be improved!

The pizzas were super thin, authentic and tasty, reminds me of a true Italian pizza experience. I felt like the menu was quite lacking and most of the pizzas had a very small variety of different toppings. I liked the nice list of local and imported beers to choose from! Most of the reviews people have left here say the pizzas are they best in Adelaide or the best they've ever had, but I'd disagree. They're good, but not the best I've had personally. Casual, authentic pizza/pasta restaurant located in the main North Adelaide strip, O'Connell St. Busy restaurant obviously popular with locals - reservations are recommended. 3 pizza crust varieties with the kitchen more than happy to add or remove toppings. Great, friendly table service. A lovely selection of wine and beer and share plates for larger groups. Will definitely dine here again.

Really not a fan anymore, serving sizes are extremely small for the price. Very small selection other than pizza, items came out in dribs and drabs even though they knew we'd each ordered our own thing and we were not sharing.

If you're a fan of Pizza (who isn't?!) and find yourself either in or close by to North Adelaide then you have to stop in and try one of the Pizzas that they serve up at Tony Tomatoes. The bases are razor thin and the ingredients are top quality, they taste simply fantastic. I'm quite partial to their Prosciutto pizza - the prosciutto they use is sliced very thin which is a critical detail to this tasty cured product. They also make a decent coffee and the deserts are great too! Hit the spot for this hungry interstate traveller. Prices are very reasonable, the food is top quality, the staff are great and the food comes out of the kitchen quick - 5 stars.

It's the 4 main Italian staples. Pizza, pasta, gnocchi and risotto. Then the non standard snitzel. Was a very busy night and the service was still very good, attentive staff. The usual choices of pasta and pizza, but had at least double the number of choices for gnocchi and risotto. The price point for O'Connell Street was very good, maybe explains why this place was full while the neighbours were empty. I just wish there was more non pork options. I do like that there was a few gluten free options. Also the house red wasn't bad. The basic house red pasta sauce was very good, which I assume is used through out. I personally think it could have been cooked longer but I'm comparing that to nona's 7 hr simmer home made pasta sauce. The sauce was still good enough to be cleaned off the plate with any bread near by. If you are diabetic though, watch out this is carb over load so order some salad or don't make it a regular habit. Now I have to go explain what carbs are to my nonna :)

We had the banquet for half our table which was 12 of us 😊. Really impressed with the quality of the food and service. The food seemed to keep on coming and we all were in a food coma, or pretty close, by the time desert was served. Most impressive good atmosphere, excellent meal. This place serves mostly pizza, so don't be disappointed by the lack of pasta dishes like I was! Nontheless, the atmosphere is nice and low lit and you get complimentary olives. They have nice wines here too. Service was great and the pizzas are moderately priced with quirky names. However I found the taste of the pizza we had outstanding and it certainly exceeded my expectations.

The service was excellent and the atmosphere the same. The 2 pizzas which came out where good, but they weren't as good as I would've expected for a pizza place. The pizzas lacked flavour and the prosciutto was served on the pizza cold. I think this was intentional served cold. Everyone says this place is amazing so I will have to try it again one day.

One of the best pizza dining places in Adelaide, hands down. Tony Tomatoes has an electric atmosphere and the pizzas are bursting with flavor on traditional thin crust. Can't go wrong with the Tony Three Times and a side of garlic bread! The pizzas are usually only cut into 4 slices making each slice quite large - always a fun dining experience! Having visited this place again recently, the only thing that continues to frustrate me is the drinks selection. The beers are too limited - things like Hahn Super Dry, Pale Ale or Extra Dry are not available, instead this venue focuses on Asian and European beers. As an aside, be warned that this venue gets VERY busy. You'll rarely see this place with any empty seats, especially in the warmer months when the outside dining area is open. As you're eating you'll regularly see patrons approach and get knocked back at the door due to insufficient seating available. Bookings are recommended :)

My first time here. The pizza here is beautiful. I would have liked a bit more basil on my margarita pizza but other then that really good. My friends and myself also orded the chocolate fondant with mix berries and cream. While it was really delicious. The three of us could have shared the one plate. Really rich and with two little chocolate fondants per plate. We just managed to finish it. Would recommend this place. Definitely need a booking any day of the week they get very busy. We went on a monday. Completely full house. Try to get an outdoor table as it can be very noisy. At least when we were there. Yes they have out door heating if its a bit of a cold night.

I loved this place myself, I attended a large gathering and can say the staff handled it very well. The best pizza in Adelaide! The dough is tasty and they cook it thin and crispy, as it should be. They even offer three different doughs- the white traditional one, a wholemeal base and a Gluten Free. They have nice and sophisticated vegetarian pizzas, as well as vegan mozzarella. They always accommodate and are happy to "personalize" your pizza. My favorites are the prawn one, tony pepperoni and jenny craig special (a cheese pizza!) For entrees, arancini balls are amazing! Friendly, efficient staff!

This is by far the most delicious italian food I have experienced ever. We booked a table for 8 pm. Got there and did not wait a minute, ordered 4 meals pizza and pasta dishes and service was 5x5 star! We got our meals in less than 10 minutes and it was packed. The meals were amazing to say the least. Pizza crust was perfect crispy and light with very fresh produce on top and a the balace of flavors got the taste buds dancing. I cannot reccomend this restaurant highly enough...I doubt you'll find any better in the district. Well done and congratulations to the crew at Tony Tomatos.
