Great wood fired Pizza!
We ordered as a family and decided to sit out the the front on the nice wooden table and benches. Great location next to a bottle shop to grab a few drinks to accompany the pizza.
The pizza arrived sooner than expected which was fantastic considering the hungry kids we had ready to eat.
Great flavour, nice crisp thin base, exactly what we needed after a day out and about exploring the Nations Capital. Highly recommend
C. R.
Very nice, big (13 inch) wood fire pizza with plenty of toppings. One Pizza was enough for the 2 of us. Fast and friendly service. Take away or eat there on the outdoor tables. BYO wine or beer, it can also be bought from the bottle shop next door.
J. B.
Best pizza in Canberra, crispy crust full of flavours. If they say “your pizza will be ready in 20 mins” it WILL be ready in 20! I will 100% recommend this place.
M.
Awesome pizza! Ordered at 6:30 and 4 pizzas ready at 6:45. Very tasty and crispy crust.
D. G.
Loved the pizzas from here. I highly recommend the truffle funghi pizza. The quattro Gusti pizza didn't come with four different types of pizza toppings - instead it only had 2. I didn't mind though. One thing that took us by surprise was that the cappricciosa pizza came with pineapple which was not in the description. Anyways my wife picked off all the pineapple and gave it to me instead. Again I didn't mind. I feel like their mistakes are not considered mistakes in the world of pizzas because their pizzas were so good.
W. D.
It currently has a 4.5 review and people are calling it the best pizza in Canberra
For a hole In the wall pizza shop with 5 people inside you would expect greatness and top quality
But in my experience it’s an ok pizza
Pizza oven running to high ( burnt crust )
Dough was knocked up and not rested
Mozzarella was flavourless but stringy with decent pull
Meat may have just been brought from woolies not a quality cut
Sauce would have to be a factory brought pre made mess
A 3 at best
C. B.
Managed to grab a table on a fairly busy Saturday night. Ordered 4 pizzas and were told they’d be ready at 6:40. Bang on 6:40 they were calling our name. Pizzas were fully loaded and by far one of the best pizza shops in town. Dough was well prepared and lots of ingredients added.
K. 1.
Damn this pizza is good. Piping hot fresh, thin crust with loads off toppings. I mean you can't go wrong.
Staff are great :)
I. M.
The best artisan pizzas I have found in North Canberra.
Short waiting time. Reasonably priced.
The thin base was well cooked and delicious. However the toppings were a little under cooked. But on the upside, they oven reheated perfectly the next day.
Grab some takeaway gelati from next door as well.
z. m.
Top tier pizza, one of the best in Canberra, frequently busy, but always worth the wait!
Most recently tried their Calzone and it was amazing!
C. B.
Pizza tasted amazing! The service was super easy going and friendly and the pizza was very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend eating here!
C. C.
Easy, relaxed vibe. Tasty and super generous with the toppings. Thanks for a good time! Unfortunately, the tall benches outside where not exactly comfy.
A. B.
More than satisfied to say the least.
Customer service from the team at Gusto’s is next to none. Seriously couldn’t ask for it to be any better.
(Best meat lovers Pizze in CBR)
ALSO KNOW AS THE AFFETATO
Shoutout to ( MAV ) specifically for having the best customer service in the Pizze industry.
Not all hero’s wear caps brother.
Always happy to drop in here for my favourite.
Well done guys, please keep up the hard work.❤️❤️❤️
S. C.
This is for me one of the best pizzas I have had and what makes the experience so unique (for me) is the understated way this pizzeria is presented and operates. This place operates effectively like a take away pizzeria where you order at the counter and then you wait to be called to collect your pizza and then you may choose it eat in one of the outdoor tables (few tables are also available inside, although those tables are quiet busy as they are next to the kitchen)
The pizza we ordered was called the Italian Stallion and it was amazing. The base was thin and crispy, straight out off the wood fired oven. Check this place out. Tip: grab a beer from the bottle shop next door and enjoy it with your amazing beer.
D. J. B.
Love their pizzas, and their service is fantastic. I made a large order for an event, which, true to form, Deliveroo made much harder than it needed to be. The team at Pizza Gusto pulled out all the stops to make it happen though and saved us from having dozens of hungry kids and adults. Thanks for your amazing service!
R. S.
By far, the best authentic wood fired pizza in Canberra and probably NSW. I highly recommend the mushroom and pesto sauce pizza (V) friendly.
R. A.
Brilliant pizza, fast service, wonderful staff who were very accommodating for us, very generous with the toppings too, the prices are very reasonable, understandably it does get busy but even then the wait is surprisingly short, outdoor and indoor seating available
B. A.
The pizza here tastes amazing and fresh out of the oven. It has a bakery type of feel to it. There are many options in the menu, but they are very accommodating. You can basically make your own pizza. It's also very decently priced for what you're getting.
It's not much of a sit down kind of place, but there are a few tables and benches only outside.
C. G.
The pizza was delicious, perfect base. The service was really great. Will be back for sure!
J. D.
Regularly struggles with keeping time accuracy. But when they're not rushed, really, really great pizza. Authentic base, great quality toppings. Love it. When rushed we have also had under/over cooked pizzas on occasion and waiting 20-40mins past their estimated "pickup time".
H. T.
The best pizza in Canberra!! Favourites are definitely the Margherita, Arrabiatta & Affetato. Do yourself a favour and try it, I'm sure you'll love it.
J. D.
Pizza is very good. I recommend eating it in nearby Haig park. The Pizza Bianca is a skirt, garlicky, sleeper hit.
J. N.
Just wanted to share my 5-star experience last night - it was a random Thursday afternoon and I was craving potato on a pizza with some rosemary & garlic. Who knew that was a combination and Pizza Gusto fit the bill! Mind you the ACT was in a Covid-19 lockdown, so it was take away only. I placed a phone order and the pizza was ready for me within the 25 minutes it was promised to me for pickup. I did the covid check-in and the lovely fellow at the service desk took my payment, showed me the total on Square and printed me a receipt. And thanked me for checking in. Other than the pleasant service, the pizza is great - (and I am a fussy customer 😆) I ordered a half n' half pizza - half 4 seasons (salami, eggplant, mushroom & olive) and half potato. SO GOOD. High quality fresh ingredients, soft & thin floaty crust (very thin crust ok) which was right up my alley. I could eat Pizza Gusto every day 😊 Thanks for a great experience!
T. B.
Have been hearing about this place for quite a while and finally decided to brave the cold Canberra night to eat pizza alfresco. And what a good idea that was! Right up there with the best prawn pizzas I've had anywhere. Could taste the woodfire, the base was delicious, the pizza tasty and fresh. With a beer from next door at the bottlo it was terrific.
N. B.
These people are absolute geniuses. The only place I eat pizza from in Canberra when I’m not in a cheapskate Dominos mood. Seriously dont bother with anywhere else in Canberra cause it will cost you the same if not more and won’t even be remotely as good (especially Vapianos - avoid that pizza like the plague!). The quality is incredible! A beautiful thin crust that still soft but got a couple crispy wood fired bits which I love, best sauce recipe I’ve ever tasted, on point ratio of cheese to sauce which is soooo important and for some reason so one else can get right & perfect amount of spices/herbs salt and pepper. I trust them complacently - every single time I’ve gone they have been reliable in their taste and quality. Nothing is overpowering about the pizza, all elements work really harmoniously together. It doesn’t leave you feeling bloated or stodgy or like you’ve just done damage to your body. No kidding its a work of art and perfection - all food should be held to this standard, they should be really proud. Also not only is their product the best but the people are so lovely. Ordered a pizza tonight and the girl who I picked up from was a really nice girl who was I shared a couple of remarks with on my way out. And she still called me by name because she remembered from when she gave me my pizza which I was pretty impressed with because it made it more personal and welcoming (its a really small thing to do but made a difference - dont know her name but girl with dark short hair you’re a good asset to your boss :) )
I know its an essay but as a whole can’t go wrong with this place - Seriously bloody legends!
K. T.
Check out their specials, also offer vegan option if you look in store
M.
This place has to be the best pizza on the eastern side of aus.
Forgetting it took under 8 mins to be ready, I've never had any better pizza! 10 stars!
J. F.
Love their pizzas! Always have anchovies and very fast and efficient.
X. S.
Best pizza in Canberra. Great flavours, not too heavy and can’t beat wood-fired. Their Peppa Pig special is something else
C. S.
Lovely people, amazing food. For that nice woodfired pizza, that's both light and hearty, these guys know how to do it. Although it does get very busy at peak times, they churn through orders, within 30-45mins, and it's well worth the wait.
S. H.
Great tasting pizza's and bottle shop next door hint hint 😉
S.
Great options, super thin base. Love the four seasons one. Service a bit slow though, especially on Friday nights and weekends. Waited 25 minutes for a couple of pizzas and you have to wait outside. Not great if the weather is icy!
D. U.
It's a takeaway with some plastic chairs. You can get drinks at bottle shop next door. So.e of the best pizza I have eaten. Try the truffle funghi..
A. B.
A pizza place that calls you sir? Such great service. The mushroom pizza was divine. You were right!
A. L.
We first went to Pizza Gusto back in 2012, not long after it opened and it was the best pizza I’ve had in Canberra. Probably some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere! We moved away from the area but came back recently and were so delighted to find out the pizza is still as good as it ever was. Recommend the verde and the affettato.
G. R.
Great place for a quick and informal pizza. BYO if you want more than water and a couple of Italian sparkling drinks. The pizzas are of good size and well dressed. The dough seems properly made and delivers a bubbly crunchy crust while the base remains thin. Toppings are of good quality and the overall taste is satisfying. Recommended!
A. M.
Busy on a Friday night, but friendly service and fast and accurate timing for pick up pizzas. Pizzas were delicious with an excellent base and quality toppings.
E. K.
The pizza here is phenomenal. The bases are light and there are a healthy serve of toppings on all the pizzas. Well worth it every time. Always order one more than you think you need because you're not going to want to wait when you have to buy another anyway.
G. R.
Weekend visiting and just had the best pizza in long time. Order was ready in 5mins on a Saturday night!
Great & fast service👍yummo
J. D.
Gusto's Margheretia pizza is simply divine! Less is definitely more in this instance. 28 outta 5 😄
J. G.
Pizza Gusto is AMAZING! Fresh ingredients expertly cooked in a wood fire oven on a daily made pizza base. What more could you ask for?! An absolute MUST every time I visit Canberra! Can not recommend them enough!
G. O.
Good Pie, shame the delivery driver didn't keep the pizza in a heat bag.
D. L.
Just had my first pizza from Gusto this evening. The Pizza was a take away and was wood fired and thin crust. I chose the supreme and found it to be delightful. My daughter had the Tropicale which was also lovely. The staff were friendly and the pizza quality. Will be back next weekend :)
A. K.
ordered pizza tonight and it was just awesome (forgot how awesome you guys are!), thinking we will do this weekly!
P. T.
Used to rate this place highly. Today unfortunately they made the mistake of dropping there game. Pizzas we're burnt around the edges and slightly undercooked in the middle. Dough was chewy and dry, not enough crispyness. Will give them one more go but if the consistency insnt there I'm on the prowl for a new No1..
N. A.
Excellent find! Wandering around looking for something super tasty to eat and came across Gusto pizza. First and foremost the staff are super friendly. They're more than happy for you to BYO grog but also our little boy isn't keen on pizza- the staff were happy for us to bring hot chips in for our son. Down to the pizza..meat lovers was excellent. Lovely base and the toppings were fresh and beautiful. Walked out a very happy family! Thanks guys 👍
A. G.
The Boscaiolo is the best pizza I've had anywhere. I've had a number of these over the last few years and no matter who cooks it the quality remains consistently excellent. Friendly staff always provide outstanding service while under the pump, definitely recommend!
C. C.
Yummy offerings, generous portions and prompt service at a reasonable price.
A. C.
Tasty pizzas. Very relaxed environment. Not much room inside but a bit.of space out the front. It's BYO, so it's very handy that there is a bottle shop next door. Expect to wait a bit for your pizza due to the popularity of the place.
A. L. (. i. a. F. F.
Delicious wood fired pizza's and the perfect menu for a indulgent take away too. I love the truffle mushroom pizza and the spicy calabrese salami too. Very reasonably priced and super quick if you place an order before rocking up. Located in the heart of super trendy and very cool Braddon.
L. A.
Arguably best tasting pizza in Canberra = Truffle fungi
However, under new management I've noticed a server decline in service. Orders lost, ignored waiting at counter, rude sevice. Etc
s. n.
The best wood fire pizza anywhere around Canberra. Wife and I have become very familiar with the Pizza Gusto, its sort of become a regular date for us.
M. “. S.
We searched for Canberras best pizza, and thats exactly what we got! Great crisp, woodfired crust and good quality toppings. Nothing over-the-top, just simple, fresh, great tasting pizza!
A. “. J.
Guaranteed you will love these pizzas! Gluten free, no cheese, extras you name it and all amazingly simple. Taste is awesome, lovely small place, get into it!
B. H.
Awesome surprise to come across this pizza joint on a weekend trip to Canberra. Pizzas were delicious from a great selection. Looking forward to working through the menu in the future...
T. T. (.
Great pizza but lacks ambiance of a real dine in experience which is a shame. Huge bins adorn your views. Back to the food, crust is amazingly thin and ingredients including seafood was fresh as.
C. A.
Restaurant itself is very basic as the place seems mostly take away. But they do have seating and there is a bottleshop next door if you need to grab some byo. What they do have is excellent wood fired pizzas
A. D.
Ignoring the zeitgeist, Pizza Gusto offers very good pizza with no pretence. Get a six pack from the bottle shop next door, sit outside and enjoy pizza whilst you mock the hipsters of Braddon.
S.
My go to place for wood fire pizza in Canberra. Quick, easy pick up. Gamberetti is my favourite.
J. W.
Good wood-fired pizza & great accessible location. It’s better for take-away.
T. A.
We loved pizza here!
S. Y.
I would give it more stars if I could!
Almost like a whole in the wall haha, very small sitting area. However, AMAZING pizza! Thin, soft with crispy crust, juicy, fresh, full of taste. Oh I wish there's such a yum pizza store whenever I live!
Hipster staff haha, joking. :)
J. A.
Had heard really good things about Pizza Gusto. So there was very high expectations. Did it reach them? No, not quite, but I wasn't disappointed in the product.
A. P.
Yummy takeaway pizzas! Always nice to sit outside on the tables and people watch on Lonsdale Street. The Potato and Rosemary pizza is one of my favorites!
R. _.
Awesome pizzas, so good. Staff are really friendly. Good for takeaway or grab a beer at the bottle shop right next door and sit to devour right there. A++
E. C.
Woodfired pizza place with a small amount of seating inside and outside. Service was fast and friendly, and the pizza was one of the best we have had in a long time. Very competitive prices.
Only having one size was the only minus.
D. N.
Best pizza in Canberra. But it's not cheap and you need to pay cash. There is usually quite a wait so book ahead
S. S.
Best pizza in town every time. Best eaten immediately out of the box while sitting outside on a bright Summer's night. Pure bliss.
G. B.
Best pizzas in Canberra, maybe the best I've had anywhere. In a well hidden location (just in between the bottle shop and LSR if you're looking for it).
C. R.
Great wood oven pizzas an awesome service!
We were visiting from the NT and wanted a large order for a function , they were fast and friendly :)
D. H.
Best pizza in Canberra, hands down. Not a great place to eat unless you're sitting out on the street in summer, so best get take away.
B. d. V.
Great meatlovers pizza. Quick friendly service. Shame it is too cold to enjoy the pizza out the front but definately will be back.
B. R.
Good fire wood pizzas but generally long wait times when it's peak meal times
p. F.
Ordered at 9pm on a Friday night. Get home and have the wrong pizza. Gorgeous staff - very cute - nice friendly staff - but guys - get it right!
F. R.
The pizza was fantastic! Ordered 4 pizzas, all of them were tasty and great, great size too! Friendly staff!

P. W.
It was an amazing pizza all the toppings I had on, it went so well together.
S. N.
Pizza as it should be. Simple toppings with a thin and crispy base with smoky overtones - courtesy of a wood fired oven. Wish they would take electronic payments though..
J. S.
Didn’t eat as was closed but looks cool
A. B. (.
Potentially the best pizza in Canberra. I’ve tried a lot and this is definitely my favourite.
