Amazing place for Italian food in Canberra. The best was the Gnocchi. I’d be frank that it is hard to find such Gnocchi. The pizzas were awesome too. Staff was very friendly & the best thing was that when we requested to order an additional dish after their kitchen was about to be closed, they still willingly said yes which is rare for most restaurants. I’d recommend anyone to visit this place for their trip to Canberra for sure.

What a gem of a place for a good quick meal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was first rate. It was exceptional value for the quality of the food. The only downside is that is somewhat noisy - so enjoy a quick meal rather than a romantic long dinner. We shared a Calamari Fritti as an entree - exceptionally cooked. We each then had a pizza which for us, quantity wise, was overkill. Left feeling somewhat over eaten. But the pizzas were delicious - especially the prawn and chorizo. The pastas looked greet - we will be back and next time the squid ink seafood pasta is in great danger of being eaten. Hard to find better in the city

Vibrant dining environment with great service. The food was ok although some dishes lacked a bit of seasoning. However, the drink was a bit disappointing. I ordered a cup of Mocha, but finally got a Milo ish drink. The cocktail was a bit overpriced. In addition, I would recommend to turn on the AC when the dinner session is full-house. It’s beneficial to prompt the air ventilation and indoor thermal comfort in the early summer, especially under the Covid theme.

Such friendly staff! Went out of their way. Busy on a Tuesday night which is nice to see. The pizza dough was fantastic, rich flavour and chewy texture, very traditional. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options! Including vegan cheeses on pizza. Very impressed.

SoLita is a legendary Italian place that I had lunch at during my monthly visit to Canberra on a cold winters day. I loved it!! Got Italian Bread and the Ravioli and Melbourne Lygon St quality easy. Shall be back and love the spot. Great staff too!

Hands down best pizza we've had in town and Italian, only been to three Italian places so far so I'll update if we find somewhere better, but seems unlikely! You won't regret it!

Went here before going to the theatre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Had pizza which came out quickly and was cooked in the pizza oven perfectly. Our drinks arrived quickly. We had a great dinner and left in plenty of time to see our show. The venue was full and there were a lot of families present. Suggest you book if you want to get in on a Friday night. They open for dinner at 5pm on Friday so you can go straight from work.

You guys saved our evening. After failing to get a table at the place we initially wanted, we came here at 6.30 pm on Saturday night. The place was packed. Oh man. There is something special about getting a pizza base right. And these guys have nailed it!! We've been here twice and although the meals on the menulook great - it's just too hard to go past the pizzas! This time around, we had: Pepperoni Halloumi & potato Prosciutto & gorgonzola Meat lover Solita special The pics should speak for themselves. Light, slightly crispy base, fresh super tasty ingredients all washed down with a beer. Having seen some the meals come out for other tables, i swear, we're going to try them sometime! It will just be hard to not order the pizzas!

Mama Mia! Could well be the best pizza in Canberra. I was trying to eat my emotions as today was the anniversary of my good friend Dirk’s 4th passing. RIP Dirk. Before I headed back to Melbs I ordered a Margherita and as soon as I held the box, the delicious smell wafted up and hit me like Tony Soprano hit Ralphie - bada bing! That first bite - “What? How.” I yelled at a pedestrian next to my uber. Tears of joy streamed down my face. Seriously Canberra. This is the sort of pizza I expect in Melbourne but finding it here... it’s enough to make a grown man cry. And it did make me cry. 6/5 stars.

This has to be one of the best places in Canberra for pizza. I had gnocchi and it was everything gnocchi should be, soft and melts in your mouth. It was a nice warm night and perfect for sitting outside. The outside service was just as good as inside. We were served fast and out courses arrived quickly and were well timed..You need to book as it is a pretty popular restaurant.

A bit ordinary to be honest. We booked for a special birthday, confirmed and everything but got there and our booking wasn't on the list. The excellent staff found a table and sorted it but it meant the elderly birthday girl was perched up on a stool. We were told most dishes would have up to an hour wait. The pasta arrived eventually, but it seemed the focus was on bulk instead of quality ingredients -only 6 open vongole on a massive bowl. Our waitress was excellent and coped well in a very stressful and over stretched restaurant. Not enough to get us to go back though.

SoLita had a casual atmosphere. Our group of six shared wood fired pizzas. There are plenty of tradional Italian pizzas as well as some variations. There id also plenty of pasta dishes which I will leave for another occasion.

Our second meal at So Lito. The best Pizzas! They must have been 2-3 staff down, as we had quite a long wait for our meal. Then there was quite a gap between the pizzas arriving and the pasta dishes. Even though they were slow with the food, the food was great! We'll go again for sure!

Great meal, and easy to share! I like to go with friends and get a mix of pasta and pizza. Come hungry! Their house-made pasta is wonderful. Was disappointed by the Tomino e Prosciutto, as it was $19 and rather small. It was delicious but not good for sharing.

The fettuccine funghi dish was extremely flavourful and filling, reasonably priced, the drinks are also reasonably priced. The garlic bread with shredded parmessan was phenomenal. The staff were lovely and went out of their way for us. The only downside I have to critic is, when it's is busy/full house it is loud but I realise that there isn't much they can do about that. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice, well priced Italian food.

The food here is to die for! The menu boasts a large range and variety, as well as plenty of options for gluten free patrons! We hosted a group function here recently and each of our team members thoroughly enjoyed their food, were treated with above & beyond sevice, and our meals were all delivered within a few minutes of one another despite the size of the group. I have recommended this restaurant to many people since my visit and intend to keep doing so! Cannot wait to return and try another delicious menu item!

Its not often that I give a restaurant 5 stars. However SoLita deserves it. Authentic Italian food and generous portions. Pizza was excellent great pizza base and toppings. The Riggatoni beef ragu was very flavoursome and could easily become my favourite dish.

If you have ever been to Naples and strolled through the colourful and vibrant markets, or visited the magnificent Amalfi coast. It takes you to a place in time which is hard to explain and almost impossible to replicate. SoLita gave me that taste again in a way which very few restaurants have been able to do. There is no wonder they are the only restaurant in Canberra accredited by the Associazione Pizzaioli Napoletani (APN). Naples is the Birthplace of pizza and SoLita has been given the tick of approval from the masters themselves. We started with Antipasto- Beautiful aged San Danielle prosciutto amongst a mixture of other cold cuts and cheeses, served with beautifully fresh Foccaicia. We then shared the Bufala Pizza (San Marzano tomato, Fior di late, Basil,) and the Squid ink Vongole which tasted like the sweet Amalfi coast air. The hospitality is amazing, very quirky owner Sam who loves to share a laugh. Highly recommended and will definitely come back A must try

Superb service and one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The only other comparison that comes to mind is Da Orlando. Dough was a bit salty but the toppings were excellent and easily were the star of the meal. Decent desserts too and well worth the price.

Great Pizzas! The lovely manager was so accommodating and took the time to split the bill and help redeem our ChooseCBR vouchers which was very very much appreciated :D highly recommended. The Prawn and Chorizo Pizza is fantastic :)

Walked in without a booking. Served and seated immediately (on a Tuesday evening). Staff were super warm and accommodating, which was nice. Ordered pizza, pasta and dipping bread. Didn't realise the portions were so big. Pizza was very good. Pasta was plentiful and creamy - perfect for the cold weather we came out of. Dipping bread was nothing special (but I guess it's only bread after all - nevertheless, doesn't impact the great experience). Service was very speedy, and very friendly. Huge menu to choose from, both food and drinks. Saw some cocktails getting made, looking very impressive. Ultimately, if you are after a good priced, hearty meal, in a comfortable, family friendly, non squishy restaurant, this is a great choice. I'd go again if ever in the region again. Even on a busy Saturday with a show on across the road, the friendly staff seated us and had drinks in front of us within minutes. The meals not long after. Most of the things we ordered were delicious, however the vegan option was terrible. It was supposedly a pesto pasta, but it had no taste other than oil. $22 for oil on pasta...

Staff were friendly and helpful picking delicious gluten-free options. Whilst we couldn't sit in as we didn't covid-book, pizzas (GF) were excellent. Those who were dining in looked like they were having a good time with fun lively ambience. Recommend.

First time I have been here. I was greeted by a very polite young lady who promptly showed me to a table and gave me a menu. I was pleasantly surprised that i was not annoyed while choosing every few minutes like other restaurants do to hurry my selection. I chose a chicken carbonara, and asked to make a change. The waitress had no issues in this. The food arrived very quickly, everything was fresh and I left feeling full and happy. While exiting all staff member in the proximity said bye to me. This may not seem like much to some people, but to me it shows very good management and a business that I will eat at again.

hi. i don’t normally write reviews but after visiting solita several times i decided it was absolutely worth one. firstly, the menu has a huge variety of delicious meals to choose from. the pastas are full of flavour and the pizzas are exceptional. i have never been disappointed once while going there - solita completely exceeded my expectations when i went there for the first time. i thought the staff deserved a mention. the staff at solita are exactly how you’d expect a healthy, well-functioning business to run. they’re attentive and polite, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. the waiters made sure to make me feel comfortable, and had no issues with moving me outside upon my request. the waitress who served me was polite and welcoming and had no issues with fulfilling the many changes i made to my order! the restaurant was full and i didn’t expect my food to come out for at least twenty minutes. however, i received my meal exceptionally quickly and i was astonished in the quality of my food. solita has affordable and reasonable prices for high-quality food. i would absolutely recommend giving solita a visit!

This is my favourite pizza joint in town. Expect to pay around $100 for entrees, mains and wines for two. The vegan cheese is out of this world and they will add it to any vego dish that already contains cheese. I highly recommend the pizzas!

I really want to use expletives to emphasise how delicious my pizza was. I had a BBQ chicken pizza, plenty of high-quality toppings. The base was perfect; not too thin, not too think. Nice food and good service. The no splitting bills (to avoid counter congestion) is ridiculous (especially at 10pm when you're the only patrons left). In this day and age there is no reason not to split bills. It is a fast and easy process and the inconvenience to patrons is unnecessary and bad for business. Luckily the young lady was able to meet our request the second time when we asked otherwise I would not go back.

My wife and I had a pre Canberra Theatre show dinner recently. We were happy to walk in without a booking and staff found us a table. The place was busy and had a great vibe. We ordered a garlic pizza and 2 drinks and arrived pretty quickly and was delicious. Our main Haloumi and potato pizza took a little longer and we enquired how long as we were attending a show. We were offered the cost of our meal free of charge as we had to leave. Very kind but we were disappointed as the meal would be delicious. We are going back for our main ASAP.

TL;DR Best pizzas in Canberra!, good service, good for groups & familys, make a reservation. Highly recommended. SoLita Pizzzeria, Restaurant & Bar (formally "10 inch Custom" in Braddon) serves what may be the best pizzas in Canberra! The service is consistantly very good, almost always approached by a staff member as soon as we've walked in the door. It's a great place for larger groups and familys. They have local beers on tap and a decent wine selection. We have only ever had pizzas in the 6 to 8 times we've been there and they are awesome. Always very quick to arrive even when very busy. Make sure to book a table especially Friday & Saturday nights as they can get very busy. If you need a high chair make sure they put that on the reservation as some of the tables are too tall for a high chair.

One of the best pizza and pasta places I've been to. The staff are polite and the management treat their staff with respect.

The former 10" Custom Pizzeria of the Hamlet in Braddon has found a new home and the pizzas are even better than they were before! My funghi pizza packed a real flavour punch and the pizza dough was absolute perfection. The pork belly main was also excellent - tender, flavoursome and it had so much delicious crackling! Service was faultless and very friendly. I can't wait to come back to try the homemade pastas!
