During lockdown we had takeaway Margherita and Pepperoni pizzas and both were mouthwatering, simply the best. Now that summer is back and PB's has re-opened, we're looking forward to trying a wood-fired pizza in the casual dine-in atmosphere.

Really great frdh pizza, not too heavy and with plenty of toppings, not stingy here. Staff were wonderfully helpful and nice, great vibe to the place so if recommend eating in and soaking in the atmosphere.

Wow! The pizza here is so good, cooked in a proper wood/charcoal pizza oven Napoli style! Half of the menu is vegan, lots of choice! Prices range from 18-24 dollars, but the portion size is really good and the ingredients are quality. Potato pizza was nice, you do get a lot of potato though! Pumpkin was lovely and smooth, with a good sweetness. Worth a visit!

Pizza was to die for, cocktail jugs made me want to die. The jugs were watered down so bad. I want to leave a bottomless brunch crawling out not walking so if you are the same, I suggest you think wisely.

My family of 5 dined here on Wednesday 6pm and were the only ones there. The crowd started coming at 7pm. The pizzas were thin crust, medium size and a bit on the pricey side, average price was $25. We ordered 3, the potato one, meat lovers and Pizza E Birra. Service was really good. The waiter was very friendly and joked a lot with my children.

We tried this place for the first time today and it was great! Service was excellent and the food was delicious. It's also worth noting that the food portions are larger than most other restaurants in St Kilda for the same price. We will definitely dine here again. Certainly recommend giving this place a try.

If there were 10 stars, I’d rate it 10 stars, this place has absolutely delicious food!! We came here after hoping to see penguins at the St Kilda Pier. It was cold and decided to get take away and I selected this restaurant, I’m so glad we did out of all the restaurants. Friendly and easy going staff, food was quick, it didn’t take long and we were offered water while we waited. There was a restaurant in Sydney with the same name not sure if they are affiliated with but anyways. Thank you! ❤️😀

The pizza is not bad but definitely worse than and not even comparable to 2 years ago. The pictures below were taken in July 2017, and you can see that the pizza looks very different to what it does now comparing it to pictures taken by other customers recently. They have definitely changed the Pizzaiolo (pizza maker) and not for the better. The pizza used to be more towards a Neapolitan style and more flavourful, now it tends to be more Roman but not quite Roman either. I know and understand they have to cater for different tastes, but now they are selling Hawaiian pizzas, which I believe wouldn't have found a place in the old, more authentic and varied menu.

This place is easy to miss, but if you miss it, it's your loss. The bruschetta portions are a little small but very tasty. The pizza is very close to what you would expect in Italy. The place has a good vibe, great for a couple's night or a casual bite with friends. The staff were nice and friendly.

When we got our food we went home to eat it but unfortunately both pizzas were raw on the inside. It is unsafe to eat raw flour so we had to throw them out. The food wasn't as bad as seeing one of the workers touching his beard before dealing with food.

It’s a amazing Italian bar and eatery with friendly and passionate staff located in an easy to access location just 10 min walk from St Kilda beach. They also host events and functions like corporate events, product launches, birthdays, parties, cocktail parties, etc. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and wheelchair accessible. Their wood fired oven is a plus. Portions are generous and the food is high quality and freshly made. A nice place to have a family meal and/or hangout with friends. Definitely recommended.

I ordered take away online through their website which has a good amount of choices and really straight forward. As it’s local I decided to walk to collect my meal. When I got there to collect one of the staff told me the dessert I ordered wasn’t available, instead of just offering to refund me they really seemed to care about finding an alternative for me, I was pretty keen for a dessert but all they could offer at that time was gelato and since I was walking home wouldn’t have worked, I told the lady this and she was still keen to help she ended up getting me a bottle of wine and she genuinely seemed so apologetic for the inconvenience. I really loved that they didn’t just brush it off that they didn’t have stock of the dessert I wanted they wanted to find a solution. The margaritas wood fired pizza and olives were also delicious.

Went here for pizza and I was positively impressed by the consistency of the pizza dough, very tasty and soft, made the Italian way. Also, the ingredients were genuine and I could taste the freshness of the mozzarella (which unfortunately doesn't often happens when you order a pizza in a restaurant). However, I have to say the size of the pizza was quite small, especially if compared to the price. It never happened to me that after a pizza I was still hungry, and for a $30 pizza I would expect to be filled and satisfied. The French waitress was very nice and friendly, but the atmosphere and the ambience of the premises could easily be improved (please change the music playlist 🙏)

Love coming here with our dogs and sitting either in the beer garden or the covered terrace. The pizzas are woodfired and very high quality. Friendly and relaxed vibe and there's a good range of cocktails. Sad we missed out on the doggy cocktails and hope they bring it back soon. Love this place

Love the pizza here. They have a huge vegan range. If you're vegan you must try the vegan Hawaiian pizza, the ham is incredible and I love their cheese. But the pizza dough is the real winner, so fluffy and delicious.

Favorite place in st kilda by far! The weekly specials are out of this world cheap and the pizzas are to die for, especially their vegan selection. I was in vegan food heaven when I went for the first time the other night, not to mention their house gin makes the best gin n tonics I’ve ever had. As good as Italy. This little restaurant is a winning combination of location, ambience, great service and outstanding food. So much attention to detail. It is not cheap eating, most mains between $20-30, but as good as food I’ve eaten in Italy. Highly recommended. Pizza is a must!

I ordered take away pizzas, they had them ready on the dot at 6pm but upon inspection by the manager (before I could even see them) he wasn't happy with the quality and got them remade, I was given a free beer on the house as I waited. After walking around St Kilda looking for somewhere to eat that looked nice (but not too expensive) my partner and I easily agreed on picking here. We were so happy we did because the service was just as amazing as the food. The truffle bruschetta was amazing and full of flavour. The pizza we opted for was the Quattro formaggi which again was delicious, fresh and packed with flavour, even without the meat. To finish we had the tiramisu - which is the best tiramisu we have ever eaten, a great coffee flavour and a consistency that was really light feeling. Service was above and beyond! From the moment you walk in, you can tell they care about your experience. There was good casual banter from our waiter which was nice and made us feel comfortable; and him seem approachable. They topped up our table water numerous times and ensured our glasses were never empty. A small detail that just let me know that they cared about our over all experience. The Interior is warm, comfortable and moody. I wouldn't hesitate in coming back and without a doubt would recommend!

Seriously, this is the best pizza I've had in Australia. I've eaten at Lombardi's in New York, which is rated as the best pizza in the world, and these guys are not far behind. Very simple flavours with quality ingredients makes for amazing results. Their fig and ricotta dessert pizza is off the chart too.

Absolutely love this place! I came last night week sat outside, upon regretting my decision because of the freezing weather, the waiters kindly insisted that they could turn on the outdoor heating for us (we were the only two people outside!). The service here is amazing, we were constantly tended for and asked if everything was ok several times. Definitely recommend the eggplant parmigiana for an entree. Also the porcini pizza is the best thing i've ever eaten. Will definitely be back.

I spied these pizzas from the window of the restaurant many weeks before I was able to try them. I have made it one of my life's quests to find good pizza and my favourite is the simple Margherita. Just cheese and tomato on bread. Simple, only it takes a true genius to combine these ingredients into a dish that can, if you are me, which I am, transport you into contact directly with the divine! Heaven exists and it was in my mouth during every bite of this delightful meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and politely corrected my pronunciation. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any fellow connoisseurs in search of an authentic version of this humble and elegant dish. Dessert was good too, although it did have to contend with me still being on cloud nine in a glorious state of pizza delirium.

If u match the above w great service, a gr8 host,owner, chef very inviting space Pizza e Birra is the place to go and watch the world go by from their dining room. Its one of best positions in StKilda & lighting & ambiance is pathetic . Hardly anyone ever sits there . Blazing lights . Bland. Cold. Guys. Its not that hard to get this right with dimmer lighting, heaters & an ounce of imagination. Flat empty tables are a major sin & no no in any eating establishment . With massive rents i ask myself ... why ?
