Offroad pizza, it’s the only place available during our stay in Kanimbla Valley so we gave it a go and it wasn’t terrible. Pricing was relatively pricey, they advertise vegan options but when called to request the waiter responded as if we were asking for sushi … don’t advertise vegan options if that isn’t actually honoured. Food wasn’t ready for an additional 15 minutes after time initially told. Meh.

Decided to try Alchemy pizzas again after having a bad experience 3 years ago!Happy to report, that the last few times we have ordered,pizzas have been really good.My husband is gluten free and only has the Hawaiian,he did comment that a bit more ham would have been nice.Ive tried the rst pumpkin,pesto,goats cheese and caramelised onion and the Assisi-both delicious!Not cheap,around $54 for 2 large pizzas,but I don't mind paying this for a good meal.

Oh wow! Now all I will need to do is, travel 120km to have the best pizza... I guess whole NSW (or Australia) has to offer? Loved the garlic bread, pizza and the gluten free cake. Kids ate as if they have been hungry for ages... Such a relief! If you are travelling on this road, I highly recommend stopping at this place even if there is a queue or waiting... Trust me, the wait is completely worth it. Not sure if seating is closed currently due to COVID or maybe they open it on only limited days. But the view from the back of the shop is also breathtaking. I wish I had taken some photos. Also, would like to thank your staff for holding the door for me so that I can carry the order outside. Thanks a lot. Such a kind gesture rarely happens to me. Can you please move to Sydney? ;)

Great pizza place along the Great Western Highway. The standout is the amazing view that you enjoy sitting outside. The pizzas themselves are really nice with the standout being the wood fired base. A slight let down are the toppings - we had the chicken tandoori which was nice but probably a bit too heavy on the onion and relish but don't let that stop you from trying it or stopping by at Alchemy. I'd definitely recommend the place as a pit stop.

Stopped here on our way back to Sydney for late lunch, on a friends recommendation. Turns out this is the best wood fired pizza I have ever had. And tons of vegetarian options too! Can't say enough about the veg pizzas we had they were just amazing. Very reasonably priced and good service. Staff is friendly and the place is just beautiful. Wish there was a table available outside during our visit because having this pizza with oven on one side and a mountain in backdrop is priceless. Tandoori chicken pizza was the non-veg favourite and Assisi was the veg favourite from our order. I recommend the drive just to eat here. I know i will. Soon. To the people at Alchemy Woodfired Pizza - You guys are amazing! Keep it up :)

My favourite is the tandoori and the organic wine. I’ve never had a bad experience. Staff had always been so lovely and the restaurant has a good vibe. The kids like a lot of the pizzas here too.

The pizza was amazing, really great quality and fresh ingredients. We came on the Thursday before Good Friday and had to wait 1.45 hours for the pizza to be ready. If you are after a quick meal around public holidays I would call ahead and check the wait times.

One of the best pizza experience, super friendly staff and the taste is way better than other local and international pizzerias. They make seriously quality pizzas that I remembered even while eating a NY pizza slice. Generous toppings and tasty mozzarella.

This review lacks specific accuracy and details on the food and costs are lax. Please take this into account The restaurant appears to have 3 or possibly 4 sections (we didn't go exploring) The outside section we avoided as it was night and cold but others were frequenting that section so I can only assume it had some type of heating Where we sat was adjacent to another room where I believe the pizza cooking went on? The heat seemed to flow into our room making it nice and warm with that natural heating feeling instead of that air-conditioning fake warmth you can often get. There was another room further away from the kitchen yet past our room Our table sat at least 8 people if required, other tables in the room looked similar with smaller ones available. Furniture was rugged looking and the floor concrete, deliberately left a tad bit uneven but not trip over uneven, like what you would find in a very old concrete floor if you had demolished the walls. That rough and rugged look. I thought it would be cold given the night was cold but it wasn't and the room was wonderfully warmed I think from the wood fired oven on the room adjacent (sorry for the tardy review, I didn't explore the place) The tables were quite far apart from each other, at least 2m, which meant noise and conversation from other tables didn't interfere with yours The cost of the pizza was fair considering the pizza sizes but it seemed higher than the quick online cost assessment I did before we walked in. Garlic bread was generous and pizza toppings were generous. I ordered anchovies on my pizza and the amount put on was very generous (this impressed me). We ordered a pizza per person as the pizzas appear to be thin based but given the good amount of topping, most found the pizza more than sufficient per person, with 1 person sharing their pizza with another as they couldn't eat it all. Another 2 shared a pizza but found it not quite enough We had an assistance dog with us which day quietly under the table and gave other patrons a surprise when we got up to leave and the waitress who escorted is to our table didn't make a big deal about which was nice You need to go up to the service counter to order but the pizza is delivered to your table when cooked, this is despite the waitresses first coming to your table to explain the process. It would be fairly easy to combine them and have table service in my opinion which would bolster the restaurant experience for almost no extra waitressing time Time from ordering to delivery is quite long, longer than some places. At least 30+ minutes, possibly 40+ (I didn't specifically track this) but I suspect it's because you are competing with the constant number of pick up orders that are happening as judged by the number of cars arriving regularly. It mad me think pick up is given preference? Most of these pick up occur from another area so that traffic doesn't flow through the restaurant. The more than adequate topping on the pizzas probably adds to the longer wait time but as I said, this review is very lax and I didn't pay specific attention to details. I'll do that in a follow up review as we fully intend to go back to this restaurant again Nothing was unpleasant, decor was rugged but this was part of the overall theme. Longer delivery to the table time was because we picked a popular time to visit the restaurant we were competing with pick up service. Pizzas were all delivered fairly quickly one after another once the first pizza arrived (possibly about 35-40 mins?) with a slight extra delay of around 5 mins between the second last and last pizza but this delay was mentioned by the waiter who informed us, so communication on this was ok I normally list prices and are more accurate in my reviews but this review is disjointed and lacking specifics so these sorts of details will have to wait until the next time I visit and the will be a next time, this is one place I'm happy to visit again

Awesome pizza, great range of vegetarian options, and the gluten free base is the best I've ever eaten out. Staff are lovely, servings are generous, and the service was pretty quick. They also have a great selection of local and organic wines and ciders. The setting is a little chilly on a winter's night, but the pizza is well worth it, and nothing a woolen coat wouldn't fix. Many thanks, we'll be back next time we're in town :-)

The pizzas were really delicious, BUT the order was very slow, mixed up and they didn't have our booking down. Recommend you order as soon as you arrive as it took ours 40mins for the first two, then a 20 wait for the third and the fourth was only put in the oven when we reminded them about it after the other three were finished. Would we come back: yes. For visitors to the mountains looking for some delicious pizza, it's a good option, but be prepared to have a relaxed, cruisy dinner; we had 5 young kids, so the delay presented is with some challenges.

No good for a quick dinner. Food was fine, but a heads up about the 45min wait time would have been helpful. Their production pipeline is limited to making four pizzas at once. This, along with the single wood fire, means if you order more than four pizzas for your group you're guaranteed to have someone waiting after the first four come out. This seems to be true regardless of whether you order large or small sizes.

Apart from the wait time, the pizza was to die for! Ordered the vegan pizza and tandoori chicken pizza and both were equally delicious. The lady running the place really deserves a clap - even in the busiest period she still ensures all seated customers are comfortable, advising of any delays. She's an absolute great asset to the Hartley Region
