This is a fantastic place - a real foodie experience with great vibe, excellent food, friendly staff and an owner who loves his food! Start with a mix of entrees, try a pasta and finish with a pizza The oven bread is amazing: seriously I avoid bread because it fills you up but this is light and fluffy and perfect. The olives where excellent and we dunked our bread in the oil! Try the jalapeños! Loved them! Overall, such an awesome night! Thanks!

Great food, drinks and service. We booked with very short notice last night, but even though they were full, they accommodate us very efficiently. Kids had the Peperoni pizza and they loved it. My wife had the crab tagliatelle and I had the Italian sausage risotto. Both to die for.We also tasted their entire dishes( can't pronounce them) but we're just perfect. Wifes proseco was like nectar, whilst I fell in love with the Menabrea beer. We will be back!

God, I love this place! We started coming over the summer and really enjoyed the relaxed and sophisticated vibe, the delicious food, the spritzes, and of course fabulous front of house team. As an Italian I can say this is one of the best pizza I've ever had in Sydney! Tried the first time on uber eats and positively impressed so we decided to visit the place The two girls were friendly, we felt really comfortable and the pizza was amazing. We'll come back for sure soon! Great job!!! Only note: 'nduja should be with bread or bruschetta, we didn't appreciate too much the soft cracker. :-)

Oh my goodness. Have been surviving on takeaways during lockdown. Don Giovanni’s just blew my mind. The most delicious pizza one can only dream of, and the pasta divine. Thought it was a pizza bar but starters and pasta beyond amazing. After a dreary 8 weeks I just had a party in my mouth. The only legal party I can have. Thanks to Don Giovanni’s for the simple pleasures in life 😋

Impeccable service. The maitre d was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. We had the crab pasta, italian sausage pizza, the turnip and zucchini as entree. Everything was great except maybe slightly on the salty side. We were celebrating the birthday of two people and staff were extremely accommodating.

Amazing pizza! Used to eat Gianni’s pizze at Frankies, now they are available so close to where I live. Heaven! The folks who work here are lovely. They have pivoted to take away and pick up really quickly, with a good dose of Italian warmth. Thanks Don G and team.

Edited after response from owners. I give the pizza 4 stars, the combination of toppings on the porchetta pizza was particularly good, definitely recommend. I give the delivery via Menulog zero stars - more than 2 hours late resulting in a very angry partner and date night ruined. Appreciate the offer for a voucher but not necessary. It's not about the money. If there is a next time we will collect ourselves or eat in.

Whenever I eat at the Dons, and I book often, I'm transported from Sydney to the flavours and atmosphere of Naples. From the white anchovy antipasto to the limoncello digestivo. The BEST PIZZA in Sydney. Go to the Dons. Go often.

If you're looking for real authentic Italian food, with a lovely ambience this is the place!! We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst fabric shopping with my mum and we are so glad we found this hidden gem. The food here is just superb along with their fantastic customer service. Their pizzas and pastas are divine, their glass red wine(from Sicily) is like velvet down your throat and you've got to try a selection from their Antipasti. I loved the squid, and the smoked mozzarella. Actually, I recommend you try a bit of everything from their menu as it's really hard to choose a favourite. Will definitely be returning again!

Food taste was great but portions for the pasta small and disproportionate between eachother and the service was confusing and mediocre for the price point of the restaurant. Waitress coudn't handle 2 tables of 12 people? (put plates in wrong table without asking who's it was and made 2 wrong extra orders?) Also they completely forgot it was a birthday booking even thought i said several times by phone when booking.

Now this is pizza!! Owner Gianni (ex Pizza e Birra, Frankies) really knows his stuff as this is authentic Napolitano pizza - delicious dough with fresh simple ingredients done well. Love the Patana - potato, fior di latte, pancetta, with truffle oil – the taste honestly took me back to Italia. Great little neighbourhood gem - buzzy yet cosy atmosphere, the staff are so warm and welcoming it feels like you’re with old friends. The new local!

I had dinner in don Giovanni last night I had the zucchini flower and they were delicious I had the mozzarella in carrozza and it was fabulous I had the salumi and it is a must try dish And what to say about the pizza....it was the best pizza you can taste in Sydney and I'm a pizza chef with more than 25 years of experience so i guess you can trust me on this 😉 definetely i raccomand this place for the food but also for the welcoming and beautify service given by the stuff there I felt i was back in Napoli for the time being Thank you guys for the beautiful experience and i will.be back soon
