Good food and atmosphere overall. There were 6 of us and everyone was happy with their meal. Quite an extensive menu too so it's quite impressive that everything turned out well. Would say it's one of those places that you can't go wrong with anything you choose from the menu.

After 3rd time and discovering Tartufo pizza 🍕 I will never ever eat pizza any where else again!!! This pizza tantalised my tastebuds with explosion of flavour that left me on a holiday to Italy 🇮🇹 with each and every bite!!! The other dishes were equally amazing too! Thanks to a great friend on your team at la bufala Allesandro who convinced us to try after lockdown and one too many bad experiences with local options ( Kogarah) ! The entire staff were attentive to our every need and really took great care of us all. The atmosphere is hands down the best! highly recommended and well worth the travel !!

My lord 🙏.....ok first of fast and very professional and yet very chilled staff and a beautiful setup inside. Great music playing and a great atmosphere. This place was recommended by my gf and I was mhmm sure I guess we will check it if I had time.....ooooooooooim glad I had time this was a beautiful experience...and the FOOD!!! I've been many Italian restaurants. They all call themselves Italian to sell their pizza but rarely you get to see a real Italian restaurant. This restaurant is absolutely the best Italian restaurant in Sydney. Food selection, service and interior design is top-notch. But what makes this place the best is their kitchen. Their kitchen is not at the back behind closed doors. They are making those delicious pizzas right in front of you where everyone sits. It's as clean as it gets. I am 100% sure that you'll have a great meal in this place.

We were getting pizza from La Bufala during lockdown and it was good. As soon as were able we went to the restaurant and we were so impressed! The place was packed and pumping! From the moment we arrived we were greeted and looked after in what was a clearly very busy restaurant. The dine-in menu is extensive and the pizza was even more amazing fresh out of the woodfired oven to the table! The gnocchi was very good. We've been back and again, service and food was exemplory. Gnocchi is so hard to do and La Bufala do an amzing job of it. Thank you La Bufala, we are now regulars and are so proud to have a restaurant like yours in Mascot! See you again soon :)

This is our go to Italian restaurant. It’s superb. The food is always top quality and well priced. Pizza like it’s meant to be, true carbonara made without cream, gnocchi that was melt in the mouth. Everything we’ve had has been so delicious, the first time we went with our 3 year old they made her a Mickey Mouse shaped pizza just because. The service is always excellent, very polite and professional wait staff. I highly recommend.

Went here with my partner on a sunday evening and it was a fantastic experience. We never usually go to masc out so this was quite the special treat for us. When we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful, and guided us to a table inmediately. It was not busy at the time so it was a much preferred experience personally, as it makes the atmosphere a lot more beautiful and peaceful. The interior looks absolutely wonderful and very aesthetic, and everything is presented very well. We had ordered a side of chips and pizza to share between us, as well as a small glass of champagne (i think). The chips were very good and tasted great, though i doubt it would be hard to mess up a simple serving of fries. It was definitely salted to the correct point and has a lovely crunch to every bite. The pizza we ordered was the calzone classico i believe, and oh boy it was incredible. Like all woodfire pizza, the base was very thin and the toppings had practically weighed the entire pizza down. It was a bit difficult to eat because of that but nevertheless it tasted so so good. It was juicy to the perfect point, as it is savoury. The salami was very flavourful and delicious, it was incorporated so perfectly that its taste had essentially become the pizza itself, and its spices lingered in my mouth for long after ive eaten it. It was simply such a fantastic pizza, honestly one of the best ive had, albeit i dont have italian pizza very much, i was very glad to have this experience. It was also quite filling, despite the size of the pizza. I would very much come back at some point in the future.

Delicious pizza! We had the meat lovers, potato and pancetta and the artichoke and mushroom. All very good! Not pictured was the calamari and seafood pasta which were also well done! Of our order for the evening, the cheese gnocchi was disappointing. It was a tad gummy and the cheese was not a good pairing. We left this dish untouched. Overall I would recommend this neighborhood pizza joint!

Make sure you don’t have socks on if your going here; unless your prepared to have them knocked off!! So it’s probably the 3rd or 5th time I have been here and it has never disappointed!! The staff are amazing and you will always be treated with a smile! We were were pleasantly superseded with the house wine along with our starter!! A more then generous helping for the three of us that be more then enough for five!!! A delicious platter of meats/cheese and garlic pizza bread thingys!!! The main; this is the next level type pizza; you need to fold it or use a knife and fork to eat it!! The combination of the rustic base and pizza sauce is o my the beginning of the story!!! I’ll let you discover the toppings for your self!!! Why oh why did we have dessert!! The entree and main was more then enough!!! We ordered the Nutella pizza, creme-brûlée and an affogato!! Now I’m the person who was brought up on the plastic tip over creme-brûlée so I may be a little bias but it was amazing!!! It even had that crack thing that they do in master chef on top!! Highly recommend this place if your in the area!! Forget about dominos.. Sit your self down, get a negroni and enjoy the finer side of the humble pizza!!! Bravo

Food and services was fabulous! We organised our work christmas lunch for 14 people and they were very accomodating in extending the numbers and the hours. We hit this place up quite regularly for lunch specials — Diavola never fails to disappoint! But the service can be patchy at times, and the waitress can mix up orders or overcharge you if you order “lunch & coke” special vs just said “and a coke” 🙈😅 Imagine when you have a big group and no one ordered the $6 coke!

I requested a very specific order and called the restaurant to confirm - they got it 100% and they were incredibly pleasant about it. This spot, nested in the urban development of Mascot Station, does Naples justice as good as any around town, landing the mean average of about 8 with a chewy dough marked with decent charring and airiness. You'll fix a salami craving with the nduja pie here – subtly spicy, meaty to the bite with enough rendered fat that gives the tomato sauce an extra kick and the smoked mozzarella more liaison (even consistency).

Yummy pizza with a nice thin crust and dough/base. Crust is so thin it can barely hold the generous toppings - which is great if you're like me and prefer a barely there crust. A little on the pricey side but they do have a 'pizza of the day' selection which is cheaper.

Great ambience and top tunes, old school house music on a Friday evening but not too loud, still can chat. Brilliant service and great pizza... only managed one, the burrata and that was awesome! Quality of food was splendid! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the pasta we ordered, but we really hoped there had been more with portion size because of price. Service was beautiful and the staff were so friendly to us both, one of the staff members engaged in a good convo with my other half for a bit and it felt like we were regulars even though it was our first time. :) Deffs will visit another time, we loved the authentic Italian vibes!

Some of the best pizza in Sydney. We've now ordered delivery & pickup a few times & it's been consistently great. Delicious dough/base that you could eat on its own. Simple, tasty toppings. If you're after classic Aussie pizza with complicated toppings (nothing wrong with that), this ain't it. These are classic Italian/Neapolitan pizzas, as good as I've had in Naples or in other European cities where Italians can be found doing their thing. Very happy this is our local! Little tip- if you're headed there to pick up pizzas, call them to ask for directions as they are in an odd location that Google maps doesn't get you to by car. I once went on my own & it was a nightmare to find & I had to park my car illegally to quickly run in to pick up pizzas. They were still good even after getting a bit cold!

I only ordered take away, so can't speak to the service. But the food was not good. The garlic prawns were not good at all, tasted like they were frozen. The metallic tasted tainted all of the garlic oil they were served in, to the point I couldn't dip the bread in it at all. The tomatoes in the salad weren't fresh, the leaves a little slimey. The pizza itself, we got the mushroom and prosciutto, was cold - which is forgivable - but the mushrooms were a little slimey, the base soggy and just generally underwhelming. Shame, because the menu looks appetising. But doesn't live up to it.

My favourite for Italian food in Mascot! Delicious pizzas (excellent dough and San Marzano tomatos!) and hearty, flavourful pastas. I even went off-piste and ordered a burger and fries once and it was cooked really well, better than burger joints. Service is typically warm and attentive and the restaurant has just the right amount of buzz. I just wish they'd open for lunch a little earlier!

Great service, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. My only observation, the pizza I had this evening was quite doughy. Whilst appearing to be cooked there was no crunch to the base or crust. I’m from the UK so maybe this is the way you like your pizzas here? Irrespective of the texture, the pizza tasted fantastic. I had the hot & spicy one (sorry can’t remember the name) but it didn’t disappoint when it came to taste. Keep up the good work and see if you can perfect a crispy pizza base with a crunch when you bite into it in true Italian style. Staying here for ten days just around the corner and will be back!

La Bufala is an incredible, authentic and delicious dining experience. We regularly travel over an hour to celebrate all kinds of things here, and often find something to celebrate so we have an excuse for the trip. They have extensive gluten free options, are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about coeliac disease and are very careful with their preparation. To address the comments below, La Bufala has NEVER failed us, it is always reliable, consistent and delicious. The toppings on the pizza are simple (as per authentic italian meals) and accentuate the flavours for each pizza, not to mention.. the bases are perfect! I think it's important to remember that pizza that is purchased from places such as domimos, etc etc has been westernised and authentic pizza/eats/pasta is not as over complicated. It's sad that there's always going to be "that person" who's not pleased with anything *insert eyeroll here*. I can genuinely say that the food I have eaten at La Bufala has often trumped some of the food I have eaten in Italy, itself. Looking forward to whatever excuse we can come up with, to visit next!

I ordered Bruschetta, tagliatelle bolognese, gnocchi speck, calzone Cotto, insalata mista. I am now a raving fan of their food. Some of the most enjoyable fresh made pasta & gnocchi I've ever eaten outside of Italy, the sauces were simply delicious... The calzone... Yum! Even the salad was fresh, nice dressing. I only gave 4 star rating instead of 5 stars due to the high prices and small servings. However the food was fantastic, the service was fast and friendly and our waiter very easy on the eye too.

After having a bit of trouble finding the parking. We made it just in time for our booking. Promptly we were seated and offered drinks. We opted for a bottle of the house rosè, it was amazing! On to starters we had calamari fritti, garlic prawns, burrata and proscutto and truffle fries. The calamari was super yummy and so was everything else Although the prawns and loaded fries were a tad on the pricey side with the prawns being a tad small. The gnocchi madness is a great concept too, we tried the burrata option which was fantastic! Could not fault the pillowy mouthfuls of goodness whatsoever. Pizza was super thin and wonderful, just how Neapolitan style pizza should be. Overall our experience at La Bufala was outstanding. Only thing that needs an upgrade is the seafood portions. I nearly gave 4 stars but this place is more worthy of a 5 star review than a 4.

Have been here a few times now and incredibly impressed with the quality of the food and service. Open, modern and friendly atmosphere with choice of eating outside or in. Not only scrumptious pasta and pizza, but perfectly cooked steak and potatoes. My favourite was the garlic prawns, followed closely by the affogato. Waiters are quick and discreet. Loved that you could see chefs cooking your food too. Will travel to Mascot more often for this treat.

This was the case of a combination of good food experience marred by a terrible service experience. I strongly believe La Bufala is the best tasting pizza option in the local area - probably great if you are getting takeaway. The pizza's dough is hearty and the toppings deliver on genuine italian flavours. Unfortunately our service experiences here have been very poor. On one occasion we waited for ~40 minutes before I had to proactively ask the staff decided to check-in on us to see why we had not yet received our pizzas while tables that had arrived 20 minutes later than us had. Turns out they just lost the order. No consolation was offered other than a few apologies. Understand that this place gets VERY busy in the evenings and these things happen but at the same time poor service experiences can really turn you off a place.

This is where I would go if I want delicious pasta and pizza! The Campagnola pizza and Tagliatelle Bolognese were more than enough my companion and I. We were charmed by the authentic Italian atmosphere inside (I must admit that I have a soft spot for Italian accents!) and the warmth of the staff made us glad to pick this restaurant above the rest. Sadly, the place was booked out so we could only takeaway but considering that we ordered last minute, it is actually impressive that we were picking up our meal within 15 minutes of ordering. And this was also at a reasonable price. Will definitely come again the next time I'm in the area!

The bread with the slight amount of butter and salt was unbelievably,amazing, so simple it was perfect. Nailed the pizza topping portion and the crust was spot on. We had a surprise 21st for my daughter at La Bufala. The evening was fantastic. Nic let us go in and decorate however we wanted, it felt like we were a tv crew taking over that section of the restaurant and there was no problem at all setting up backdrop, cake table whatever we wanted they were very obliging. My daughter had a wonderful surprise. The food was just amazing and the service was great. I had quite a few guests telling me that they would like to go back with their families. Getting Better with every service! I think they had some teething issues like all brand new places, but this has to be one of the best coffees in mascot, and the wood fired pizza is delicious!! Only dropping a star for the polenta chips - under the cheese sauce there wasn't any seasoning, so the one chip that didn't get sauce was completely flavorless. Beautiful produce prepared exceptionally with tasty tasty results. Great service, the staff made us feel very welcome and everything arrived and left the table in record time. The Rustica pizza & Tiramisu were delicious & If the meatballs are on the specials menu, just get them, you will not be disappointed. The gluten free pasta is the best my wife has ever had. We generally don't go to Italian restaurants because of the poor choices for coeliac, that problem is solved now. Thank you La Bufala for a brilliant dinging experience, we will be back.

Dined at La Bufala twice (ashamed to say 2 nights in a row). Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. First night was with my nephew who lives close by (we were eyeing off each other's meals - then swapped the next night), second night was with the nephew and our visiting relatives just arrived from the US. Great food but the thing which brought down our mood was the wait staff. They were very pushy, not giving us time to decide what we wanted to order, and when we were enjoying our food they kept coming up to us and asking if we were done eating. I said no many times but eventually just let them have the plate even though it still had food I wanted to eat on it. They just seemed to rush us and get us out of there as soon as possible, despite it not being busy and it was only 9pm, while they close at 12. The food was amazing but I didn't feel comfortable and couldn't enjoy it because of the wait staff. Hopefully this will change in the future.

La Bufala serves woodfired pizza made from wholemeal flour that gives the pizza a great flavor. Pasta, salads and other meals are also available. The pizzas only come in one size, they are quite large and can be shared if you are not hungry enough to eat all by yourself.
