Really nice Italian style pizza. Thin crusts, and quality ingredients and toppings. The location is very convenient, right near Wynyard station (but located in a back alley). There is a dine in section next door with a bar which is nice, but at times it can be quite busy/full. You can dine on the street and sit on milk crates for the 'original' experience. Service is nice and friendly

So let me start by saying we are the a**holes that are ordering takeaway when the restaurants are finally able to open up. We ordered via Uber Eats with an estimated delivery time of 45 minutes. As they couldn’t allocate a driver, the time kept getting pushed out to nearly two hours. We rang the restaurant to see what our options were. After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, the restaurant made our pizzas fresh and delivered them using their own staff to us within 10 minutes. We’ve been customers of Made in Italy for years, and they continue to delight us.

This place is currently my favourite go to place for pizza in the city! Their pizzas are thin crusted, and the menu has enough variety to please all my friends that I have brought here. My favourite is the prawn pizza - unlike many other pizza joints they are generous with the prawns which taste fresh and have a good bite to it. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good pizza and cider.

Pizzas from here are amazing! Consistently fresh, generous toppings and great flavour. Base is thin with a nice chew to it. Our workplace has ordered from here a number of times for events in the office and the pizzas are always a big hit! Keep up the great work!

I got a vegetarian pizza small size for $18 it was quite a lot for 1 person and I thought it was very good. Nice crunchy base and a generous serving of toppings. I asked for less cheese than usual because my friend said he thought the pizzas there had too much cheese, but mine was perfect

Pizza really isn't Sydney's thing (coming from someone who lived in NYC for 8 years, so the bar is set pretty high!) but I love Made in Italy's pizza and would have it every day if possible! The classic Americana is so so tasty - just the right amount of spice. I usually order online and it's always timed so perfectly - I get there and the pizza is just being sliced and boxed. Very friendly staff and really good pizza - talking about it is making me hungry!

What a find. Hidden away down an alley near Wynyard station. Its a very small restaurant. You can order take away from the alleyway or you can eat in. If eating in you need to order from the bar. Service was friendly. The pastas are delicious. I didn't try the Pizzas but they looked really good. Will definitely return to try these and other items on the menu. Definitely worth a visit. Ordered pizza ahead of our arrival to the hotel as we have had GREAT pizza from these guys before during previous stays in Sydney. I called and explained that we were arriving at 9.30, the made in italy team ensured that our pizza arrived piping hot and at the time we requested. We had friends pick up our order on their way through for a pizza and drinks night at our house located in CBD When the pizza arrived, I was half expecting a soggy cold mess but on the contrary what arrived was a perfect base, nice and hot and no oily mass of sludge, just a perfectly tasting, well portioned pizza at a very decent price. I do emphasize the expectations were due to the fact that we live over 10 minutes away so, if there was any excessive oils or fats in the pizza it would have been destroyed in the time it took to get to us. To be truthful, I have only ever ordered over the phone but never been there to pick up (my friends did) so about the actual venue itself, I am very sketchy on the details.

This is the BEST pizza place I have ever ate pizza at in my life. You need to try it to know what I'm talking about... The place can be a little confusing to find if you follow a GPS as you need to go inside where there are tables to eat on for various shops though the staff waiter / waitress will take your order inside for either dine in or takeaway and will bring it to your table. The actual pizza shopfront is located at the back in the laneway which is why the GPS didn't help too much. Follow the GPS. If you don't find the place and it tells you to go around the block or something then ignore it. Go inside a doorway that has tables and cafes and ask any staff. The staff are great and looked after me and then they can show you the actual counter for the shop. It was well worth going around in circles to get the best pizza ever and I recommend this place to anyone.

Each of the four courses we had were beautifully balanced and tasted fantastic. My favourite dish was the gently poached southern rock lobster, hand caught Tasmanian squid, golden tapioca, lobster velvet - the lobster was poached impeccably. The main course (wagyu beef) was also cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. We shared various choices of desserts and they all tasted wonderfully, the Guava snow egg was especially memorable.

My toppings were uneven and rushed (oregano and chilli were on 5-8 slices). My colleague had to wait an extra ten minutes for his medium pizza after mine came out and thus pizzas were cold by the time we were back in office. We had a great experience first time around - tho disappointed this time.

Having tried the Pyrmont restaurant, I didn't know about this place until someone pointed it out, tucked away in lane. Its just a shame that there isn't enough space to sit down and enjoy this Pizza, otherwise your best bet is to take a stroll down Westpac Plaza and find a seat under the warm sun. Their Pizza is great as usual, and service with a smile. Highly recommended, but get there early if you want a seat.

Great laneway pizza place hidden near Wynyard station. The crust is really thin and topping generous. You have to be prepared to sit on milk crates to eat because they have limited seating. I don't even think the milk crates are deliberate seats. The supremo and pollo are my favourites. Better value to order the larger sized pizzas especially if sharing with others. They accept credit cards.

You know a place makes good pizzas when you attend a few different meetups events in the city and they all get their pizzas from the same place. Made In Italy is that place and I learnt about it while attending a meetup event in Sydney and now I go there whenever I feel like pizza. They seem to be open longer than most eateries in the city on a weekday evening and the pizza is made fresh to order and it takes about 10mins for the pizza to be ready. They're quite popular as the last time we were there, we could see that they were making a large number of pizzas. Or maybe there is another meetup in town which had ordered 40 pizzas from them.

This small Italian restaurant is one of two things found down this lane that I didn't know even existed until about a month ago. With the small York lane bar just across the street and down a bit and the seemingly friendly rivalry between the 2 to catch dinner goers it's quiet nice and something different to sit in a lane and have pizza when you're not hung over at 3am in the morning (earlier than that now thanks to lockouts). I would have to say may only qualm with this place is that they only sell pasta at lunch. I know I asked for it and that's what they told me but when I overhear 2 other people ask for pasta as well maybe you should consider selling pasta for dinner because your food is delicious!
