I cannot recommend this place enough, the staff and owner are wonderful! Then there is the amazing food! We went there for my birthday and boy was I glad I did! For deep dish pizzas we ordered the Snooki and the Windy City! They were amazing! The pepperoni they used for their pizza's was the best pepperoni I've ever tasted!! The kitchen smelled amazing and really helped to build up our appetite! For appetizers you can't go wrong with a classic like mozzarella sticks (which were on point to the best ones I've had in the USA)!We decided to also order a Superbowl pizza (a pizza kind of like a sampler of other pizzas they make), it was a great way to be able to try all their other individual pizzas without running out of room for desert! Another great touch to the place is that they also order in US soda's that arnt as common. I am not talking like stock standard ones like cherry coke, but AW, Virgil's, Faygo and another blue drink that tasted like bubble gum! Surprisingly these drinks weren't too surgery and were really refreshing! After talking to the owner you can tell how passionate he is to get an authentic taste of a proper American style pizzeria correct. He has an American wife who misses deep dish, so he made the business for her. As someone who also has an American wife who misses home, this experience was very special. For desert we had Churros and I had the Oreo Cheese cake (being the birthday boy). It was delicious! I am only too happy to talk this place up, and to support businesses that are special. This place is really something special, a gem amoungst a sea typical take out places, with boring pizza that only tastes good if your drunk or hungover. Mutz Pizza isn't just a meal, it's an experience.

As an American from Chicago I can say we were pretty happy with this deep dish pizza. It’s a little light on the meat and not as layered as a typical Chicago deep dish but the flavour is there. If you were in Chicago at Lou Malnatis you have 3 layers of sausage and pepperoni, layers of cheese for a much thicker pie but for a Chicago deep dish pie, Mutz is your best bet in Sydney. We also got the garden pizza and was really happy with the sesame seed crust and generous amount of veggies on the pizza. Top notch and nice addition of the hot peppers on the side. We’ll be back!

The Chicago deep dish is to die for. You go into a cheesw coma.. the marinara sauce is out this world.. there are pizza snubs who claim deep dish is not pizza - i dont care.. lovely staff.. parking available at the front on the weekends

Seriously, spectacularly, amazing pizza. Super chilled and friendly staff and environment. A base unlike any I have tasted anywhere in the world. Everything is 'Next Level' pizza! I've just moved out of the area and still happy to travel across the North Shore to get my fix. 18 inch pizza is only $30 as I write this... and easily feeds 4 mouths, or one mouth for 4 meals!!

This is our second time having Mutz. Their iconic sesame seed crust keeps us hankering for more. Tonight we had to wait a while for our order, but mainly because the owner was unhappy that one of the pizzas had risen too much for his liking. He very generously offered to give us that one on top of making us another fresh one at no extra cost. As we waited, he even gave us complimentary “jersey balls” - a very tasty snack! Thank you and we will be back.

Generous portions, sesame seeds on the crust was a nice touch. Ordered the New York and vegetarian one (can’t remember the name of it). Only thing was the pepperoni was not spicy at all and a bit bland. Would go back again to try the other pizzas.

This place is legit. I've eaten deep dish pizza in the home of deep dish pizza (Chicago) and Mutz Pizza leaves it in its wake. A truly memorable USA dining experience on Sydney's Lower North Shore. The food is outstanding, the decor classic American and the staff friendly and welcoming. I went with the recommendation of social media food influencer Sir Eats-a-lot (Instagram handle @issac_eatsalot) who claimed it to be the best deep dish pizza in Sydney... it could just be the best deep dish pizza in the world!

One of the best pizzas I have ever had in Sydney. Forget about eating those franchise pizzas. This place is much better. And don’t forget to try Calzones they are just delicious. Really recommend these place after eating there all in the menu.

The customer service here is amazing. Having been to NY, I was disappointed in the NY style advertised pizzas, though I felt the sesame crust was interesting and tasty. Personally, the deep dish pizza was too cheesy and oily for me. Would recommend sharing a deep dish pizza among several people.

I've tried a few of the pizzas here and the tomato sauce on the Chicago deep dish is delicious. My favourite is the mutz pizza as the smell and flavour was amazing and unique. The cheese in the Chicago pizza was awesome. The cheese on top of the cheese pizza was so good - it was golden brown - just the way I like it.

Try not to be concerned about the price. You are getting the finest ingredients made by people that really care about quality. And I mean really care. It takes longer and it's more expensive. And when you taste it you will see why. It's been a very long time since the north shore has had this sort of quality.
