Had a great time at Bar Peripheral! Should you be so lucky to have the experience that I had here! Authentic people and places are hard to come by these days and I wish the owners of this establishment all the best!

Thanks to Vini for an amazing experience at Bar Peripheral. It was hard to find but eventually we saw the small engraved plaque on black door. We were impressed when it opened to an Aladdin’s Cave of spirits. Vini asks you about your drink preferences and creates cocktails suited to you. The process of making the cocktails involved flair and precision and felt more like a ceremony than being poured a drink. The results were delicious and the atmosphere relaxing. What a great place to impress a date or to have a chill with friends. Do yourself a favour and have a drink at Bar Peripheral!

During these years in Adelaide, I have been looking for a bar, a place where I can have a few rounds of drinks with my friends and relax. Those Bars that we have been are either too noisy or the cocktails made are not to our appetite. Finally, one day last year, I discovered about this newly opened Bar, Bar Peripheral, which is a only 12-seat Bar that was forced to close due to the epidemic shortly after its opening. "NOT FOR EVERYONE". The location of the bar is on Pulteney Street, which I am familiar with, but the young ladies who went with me did not find it after walking pass it a few times. Knock on the door and wait to be greeted. There are 12 seats only, therefore, better reserve for your spot. No MENU but there is an elaborate cocktail introduction. After seated, you will be handed a hot towel to clean your hands and a small cup of homemade chicken soup as a welcome beverage. Then the bartender will ask your preferences and make a cocktail that only belongs to your taste according to your preferences. The overall decoration of the bar is just perfect to me, the dim lighting, the old wine cabinet, the right music... Although the bartender (the owner) has an "ice cube face", he is very enthusiastic. During the epidemic, he provided chicken soup to people in need for free when he was obviously forced to close his business. The owner has his own ideas and attitudes, and will never compromise on his dreams just like the most common sentence on his INS: "We never compromise."

What a special experience, starting with a coaster with your name on it waiting on the bar on arrival. A really interesting place. Great cocktails and friendly staff. Loved it and the Brandy Alexander's were amazing!

All whiskey and cocktail lovers a place to definitely visit. The guy is quirky but he knows his S#!). Depends on your palette he can whip a drink of you. Doesn't talk much but you aren't there for a conversation. Note: must book in advance as its only limited seats at the bar. Once you get there, you'll be greeted through a pigeon hole and the password is your name :-)

The best Cocktail Bar I've been to in Australia. Passionate and professional owner who prides himself on only serving the finest cocktails, no short cuts here. Also, the only bar I've been to that correctly serves the Painkiller with Pussers Rum, the drink of the Senior Service (Royal Navy). If your up to it, try the Zombie!

Vinnie was very knowledgeable and happy to explain things. He picks a drink for you, based on your preferences and you don't even have to know anything about cocktails. It was a great experience trying drinks and learning about them. The bar is truely something special and an absolute highlight of our Adelaide adventures. Also had the best chicken soup for the soul ^_^

Mine and my partners experience here was something we will never, ever forget. Will be a regular for us from now on. The service is exceptional. Vini and his partner work effortlessly together and results in a peaceful, entertaining time to watch them at work. Vini is so easy to get along with, he is exceptionally knowledgeable in what he does and it shows in his drinks. The moment you walk in you feel welcomed and taken care of. There is not a single flaw. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxing and intimate. I highly, highly recommend (secretly) to anyone who enjoys a well thought out drink and likes a quieter setting compared to the rest of towns atmosphere. Don't want to recommend to anyone so it stays a secret, but want everyone to have the same amazing experience that we did! Cheers to you both and your beautiful bar. This place is fantastic. Top experience for cocktails in Adelaide and what an experience it is. Knock on the door for entry, you're then given a hot towel to clean your hands and a small cup of chicken consommé. Drinks are created elegantly and to perfection. No menu, just an incredible bar tender who knows what to do. Small snacks are served with the drinks. Everything is absolutely done to perfection with care, passion and skill. Go here, you won't regret it.

This is everything that I have expected from a cocktail bar, but an experience that I have never once gotten from any other bar before. The current drink I am drinking, I wish would never end, incredible. Even the complimentary soup was better than most drinks from bars I have visited previously. Just book a seat, I'm already planning on bringing some more friends back here. BTW, max 4 people per booking.

Fantastic service, amazing bespoke cocktails with a very knowledgeable and lovely owner. Would strongly recommend for any appreciator of fine cocktail making but also for people just getting in to the cocktail scene. Perfect for dates, intimate drinks and small group get-togethers.

Amazing bar with a wonderful atmosphere and friendly bar tender/owner. Was served a small cup of warm and delicious chicken consommé upon sitting down. Bar doesn't work on a menu - you tell him about what you like, and he serves you a customised drink. Drinks are not overpriced either!

Went there for the first time today for a few drinks after seeing all the great reviews. This place has probably become my favourite bar in Adelaide. Unlike the other patrons of the bar, I don’t know a whole lot about spirits/cocktails. But Vinny, the owner/bartender, was able to make a few drinks for us according to the flavour profiles we like/dislike. We are extremely happy with what was served to us. The service was exceptional as well. I wish I knew this place earlier.

An amazing bar experience. Vini is the host with the most and an absolute wizard with spirits. Everything from the detailed, educational menu, to the music and of course the drinks is all expertly curated to create a place of adventure and comfort. Certainly a 5 star experience. In fact, five stars is selling it short. Bar Peripheral was such a fun, intimate, fabulous, memorable experience. I don't drink often and I'm not well versed in alcohol, period. Vini crafted 3 delicious cocktails for me based on that small amount of information and hardly knowing what I like when it comes to alcohol, because I barely know, too. This is a testament to his clear wealth of knowledge in his craft. As soon as my partner and I left, we agreed that we would be back. An experience like no other, I can guarantee that. Highly recommend for a nice night out with a significant other.
