Love the name of this pub. Good play on words. The service was outstanding at this pub. Very helpful and social with all customers we noticed and being visitors from Sydney we were made to feel special. Outdoor and indoor seating options and we decided to sit out in the beer garden where the NRL was playing on a widescreen TV - very happy about that. Ordered a share plate of food for dinner which was more than enough. Good offering of food and drinks at this location

Simple pub food done well and very reasonably priced. There were 20 of us eating and everyone’s meal was well presented and well cooked. Thank you also to the staff who let me bring a birthday cake for my daughter and then went above and beyond adding the strawberries and candles and presenting it so well despite being busy. Great bar on the city fringe. Absolutely love the crystal ceiling art instalment / lights - amazing. Hundreds if not thousands of crystal glasses hanging from the ceiling in a wave patter - $38k worth. The service is first class with various rooms and a large rear courtyard area. A great pub with great ambience and food.

We recently hosted our engagement party in the beer garden and could not recommend this venue enough! Staff were so friendly and professional. They helped us throughout the night and were very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed the food and the selection of drinks was great. The beer garden looked amazing and our guests commented on how perfect the space was for the event. Thank you so much for helping us create a memorable night! :)

Fantastic wings!! $10 for 1kg of wings on Thursday nights. Staff very disorganized, gave us an extra kilo of wings (not complaining!). Food took a long time to come. BBQ, Buffalo, Caesar parm and maple flavour. Margarita pizza also good.

Fantastic local pub. Food is delicious and they’re always willing to work with our challenging allergies. We also had a 21st here in November and they’re not only great to deal with, but the venue itself just has a cool, funky city vibe. Would definitely recommend for a beer or a function.

What a treasure. A truly grand old traditional pub with friendly and attentive staff that make you feel welcome and at home. Vonnie the DJ played some awesome 70s & 80s music upstairs that set the mood to a nice chilled atmosphere, well done. I was only there for a few end of week drinks on the balcony but will certainly be returning to try their food and spend more time real soon. Grab a few friends and enjoy a chilled evening here, you will be doing yourself a favour. Well done people 👍😊

Enjoyed dinner here with my partner last night (a Thursday). Staff were attentive and prices reasonable for a pub. She had a snitty (Panko crumbs?) and I had Sausages and mash - both classics, and both very enjoyable. Yummy meals. There was a number of older guys with their Vespas catching-up next to us, and we had a chat with some of them. The place had an open, friendly feel. Thanks team.

This is one of my locals, honestly such a good vibe. The staff are always so kind and willing to help, the place itself is clean and quite hip, I'm yet to eat the food there but I've heard it's great! I will update this once I've eaten their food! Bought the eye fillet steak, cost $38. It was tough as leather boots. Mentioned it to the bar attendant and she so kindly offered me fries in replacement of it. As if fries cost $38. Very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend this place at all, they couldnt get rid of us quicker enough. But happy to take our money.

This is a diamond in the rough staff are excellent and product knowledge is exceptional and very accommadating. But with all the amazing features of this pub there are down sides the lay out is a little bazaar but they make it work with their beer garden a little oasis in a bustle of the city well worth spending some time looking and listening to the vibe of the place.

I visited the Benjamin on Franklin for the first time last Friday night and had a great experience. The pub was really enjoyable to visit. Plenty of street parking available near the hotel. The pub has lots of interesting spaces and my group of friends enjoyed having dinner in the beer garden the ending the night in the front bar. The service was great and the food was really tasty and had generous portions. I will definitely return to this hotel and look forward to it.

First time at benjis last night with 12 others. This is my assessment. Venue: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Overall dining experience: 4/5 Positive: Great old pub revived with interesting character that sparked discussion. Intimate dining spaces. Relaxed alfresco /bar area. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was well presented, plentiful and well priced. Tables were well presented. Children are welcome. Negative: Access for elderly is challenging. No mid strength beer on tap. Lengthy time for meals to come out when not at capacity. More attention to the premium steak dish @ $42.00 is required if it is be a memorable dish. If the food preparation area is in full view of paying customers it is imperative all food is handled with appropriate implements and staff are not handling the food without gloves!!! Overall dining experience: It is almost there. With a bit more attention to detail this venue could be a place to remember for a long time to come. I would recommend it to others, however, there is real potential to take it his venue and the dining experience to the next level with a bit more thought.. Thankyou to everyone last night, it was a very enjoyable evening. I look forward to returning. P.s You should consider having the floor coverings professionally cleaned to really bring the carpets to life. .

Came here for the first time last week with a group of mates. Awesome pub! We sat outside across a couple benches and tables, plenty of room for our big group. The owner/manager, I believe his name was Drew, came over and had a chat to us and made us feel welcome. Great dude with some good banter. Bartenders were lovely as well, team moral behind the bar was second to none which made for quick service and a pleasant time. Food was amazing too (recommend their house burger) and they served all our meals on time. Although we spent our time out the front they have plentiful space inside to dine and also a cool beer garden out the back! I may just have found my new spot. Cheers to the Benji! 🍻

We were greeted with warmth, treated like special guests and the staff were attentive to our needs. The service allowed us to enjoy our entree and the main was served at just the right moment. The open fire was a bonus and added a romantic touch to a night out in winter in Adelaide. Both meals were great and the Salmon as suggested by staff was excellent.

Food was nice but a bit pricey. Was a bit off putting when we saw some dirty looking guy come from out the back to get a coffee....he looked grotty and his pants were falling down as he walked back. The restaurant also had some old glass doors leaning up against the bar in the restaurant....not exactly what you'd expect to find in a restaurant. Also saw some old dusty chairs under the stairs. Make an effort and tidy up and keep the restaurant free of grotty looking staff.

The food is presented well and it tastes good. Quantity is sufficient too. The menu doesn't have too many options. The best and wine collection is excellent. It would have been nice if small individual plates were given for each guest, with our shared plate orders.

Really nice looking place with lots of seating. The booths out back are really nice for large groups. The staff was friendly however very not helpful and the food took forever- well over an hour . And only half our groups meals came and they were all done by the time the other half's came. They have good deals on wings and ribs. I'd probably give it another chance.

Since they recently changed owners, their service has been great. The fellas on the bar are really lovely and helpful. My partner works at Peter Stevens Motorcycles next door and the staff and their partners always have post work beers at "The Benji" and the Benji staff always treat them well and go out of their way for their regular customers.

I come here for wings and ribs regularly! The wings are great most of the time while the ribs can be hit or miss; the food could be a little more consistent in quality. Other than that, excellent staff and groovy/ homey decor 👍

My husband really enjoyed his Angus beef hamburger, but I was disappointed with my salmon meal. The menu said Tasmanian salmon, so I naturally expected a piece of fresh salmon. However it was smoked and salty and there was nothing on my plate to break down the saltiness. I like kale chips and beetroot crisps, but they too were salty, as was the potato fritter under the fish. Next time I'll check if the fish is fresh before ordering. Friendly service and a good wine were the pluses.

Great beer selection and decent outside courtyard, food however was underwhelming. The meals sound great on the menu but they are a little bit undersized and lack quality. We had salmon way overcooked, a dips board that was changed to a veggie board that just tasted disjointed. Prawns were good according to the dude that had the prawns. And pizza was ok. Synopsis: go there for the very decent beer range. Oh and there were 3 people eating apart from us in the whole pub and our meal somehow took hour or so to come out. Keep that in mind
