Ordered the brie and beef burger only to cut into it and the patty was undercooked, clear red chunks of mince. Asked for a new one that was cooked, got the exact same thing the second time. When I asked, they advised "that's how it's cooked" despite no notes on the menu line to state the mince patty is cooked medium rare. Never ever had a patty come out like that ever. Patties are always fully cooked unless the patron asks. Finally said I was not keen on a half cooked patty, and frankly very put off by it. So they offered to swap my meal. Ended up getting the chicken parmi. So after being there an hour I finally had food, while the rest of the table had finished eating. It was fine, nothing amazing. Decent size, they put it on top of the chips (which everyone hates btw). And gave a massive amount of slaw with chunks of onion in it (gross). Disappointing experience. Staff were amazing though 10/10.

The meals are SO CHEAP and so nice! the decor isn't great inside its just plain white brick exposed walls but the outside area/area near the bathrooms is really nice! the staff are friendly and helpful also. Drinks are average price $10 for a pint. Small choice of cocktails also.

We came here to Cumberland Arms Hotel for a dinner after a long day. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing and casual. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are extremely generous. We didn't have the chance to try the Arancini Balls but they look awesome, and we'll be trying them next time!

I've never eaten such succulent schnitzel, tender lamb or smokey char grilled steak anywhere like this. Quality is superb, value fantastic, presentation perfect. Great pub, like the way they have set it up with the inclusion of small crooks for small intimate groups. Bit bermused by Bar staff. Asked the bar person for a Vodka Martini (Vodka, dry vermouth and ice). “We cant do that we don’t have a shaker.” No problems I replied just one shot Vodka, one shot dry vermouth and add ice. Sorry cant do that. Came back later and tried a different approach with a different staff member. CanI have a vodka with Dry vermouth and Ice. No problems sir, that will be $18.00. I was informed that according to the ‘rules’, that was considered two shot of liquor. But vermouth is about $15 for a Litre I replied and technically is a wine. Sorry Sir. Am I over reacting, maybe??!!

This is a great City pub, I have attended a few work lunches / functions and the service has always been good. The outdoor area is fantastic. The vego lasagne today was a bit of a disappointment compared to a previous visit, the portion size shrinking by half the size and the sweet potato was undercooked. Still nice but not as good as previous. The burgers look huge / amazing.

On a recommendation from Peter Stevens, they eat here a fair bit, they said the parmies are to die for. Walking through the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff and a beautifully renovated period hotel opening up to a huge beer garden, very nice and so was the friendly hostess. We had a few beers but really wanted some Victorian Bitter, unfortunately we moved on in search of our VB and missed out on a spectacular menu, excellent beer garden and friendly, easy on the eyes hostess.

The 'Cumby' as it is often referred to by the locals is situated in the City West of Adelaide CBD on Waymouth Street. It has been renovated quite nicely and has a fantastic outside beer garden. The staff are friendly and the food is really good and at an affordable price. It is a really good location for office group events however they do not allow split bills. The daily meal specials are definitely good value for money (Thursdays are $10 for a chicken or beef schnitzel).

The steak comes char-grilled to perfection (to your specified taste), with freshly-fried fries, and a delicious coleslaw. Sauces are an additional $3, making it a total of just $18 for a great (and absolutely filling) meal. With a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, The Cumby is a great place to treat yourself to an affordable meal.

Went to the cumby for dinner with a group of friends. Atmosphere and Service 5/5. However, sadly the food was not up to par. I had a beef snitty, the gravey was scant and tasted like packet gravey. My partner had salt and pepper squid, for $21 you'd expect more than 4 pieces of squid... its disappointing the food let the venue down.
