50/50 for me. Fugazzi had a funky modern fit out with a cool atmosphere but having such short sit times you don't get to really enjoy it.
By the time you order you have a 1hr1/2 to drink and eat. And if you order the 5 course per head like I did then you feel rushed.
Entree's were delicious, the steak a little too rare for me and I wasn't asked; how I liked it. Service was good but again you were reminded quite a few times that you needed to be out by a certain time and for the price you're paying you wish they could be a little more flexible.

Mixed feelings about this place. The restaurant concept is awesome, love the laneways location, however the overall experience just fell a bit flat. I ordered the ricotta gnocchi which I enjoyed - they meat was cooked well and the texture of the gnocchi was pleasant. However, other people in my party were a bit let down by their dishes - they felt that the pasta was quite salty and heavy. Considering the price, we felt the service could have been a bit better as well.. Overall, not bad, but probably won’t be rushing back when there’s some other great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. They are new though, so maybe they will get better with time.

From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic. The food was excellent, we were recommended a very good Italian wine which complimented our food beautifully. Such a wonderful experience. Will certainly recommend to family and friends.

Wow, amazing food, had the mortadella finger from the snacks menu and it was to die for, was not just an ordinary mortadella sandwich, I would happily come back here just for this. Also had the Campanelle and Angus Scotch Fillet, so lovely. Staff were lovely, will be back

"Fugayzi, fugazi. It's a whazy. It's a woozie. It's...." That the name speaks to it being both a homage to NY-style Italian dining and gently pokes fun at itself, manages to make the name a strong first impression and the rare occasion a name is both interesting and funny. The experience continued to impress from there, from unique cocktails, delicious menu and building its own distinctive experience. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and delivered excellent service. Strongly recommend trying.
