Good food. Made to feel welcome by staff. Attentive but not intrusive. Acoustics in dining area allowed us to hold a normal conversation at the table without having to raise our voices. Overall, a pleasant experience.

This is a great pub with screens all around to enjoy the sports. Great hang out place with good music as well. It’s a good location on Hutt Street not too far form town so great location to have a group party as well. Good food great price and good variety of drinks.

The place is what is expected. Presentable and clean. But the service is really slow. Not good if you're really starving. But worth the wait coz the food is delicious and big serve!👍 I had duck spring roll as entree. It could have been my main meal! 😃😄 All together a good place to dine.

It’s a great venue. Service is excellent. Have eaten here a couple of times now. This time, had the Thursday special ‘pint and parmy’ for $17 - was excellent value. Decent sized lunch! Great place to go to network too - always bump into someone you know.

I had a beef burger and my wife had a steak sandwich. Both were served quickly (about 6pm on a Wednesday) and came with a huge amount of hot chips. Overall there was too much food but it tasted great. Both meals were well constructed and the steak was not chewy (like you often get in pub steak sandwiches) and of a good size. Friendly staff. The decor is dated but I think that the point - it looks almost exactly like it did when I visited there in the 80s as a student.

Very nice. From the moment we walked into the dining room we were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome. Even though the hotel was very busy, our drink order was taken and delivered promptly as were our meals. The food was great and the prices very reasonable. I would happily recommend this venue to anyone looking for delicious food, an excellent selection of drinks, wonderful service and friendly staff. A marvelous experience. Keep up the great work!

Around the corner from a mates place, we decided to have a drink after lockdown. Very nice meals and being there early for happy hour was a bonus. The house red was very good for the price, most of the usual pub suspects on tap and crafties in the fridge. Food was a little pricey but I have to remember that I'm in town (although it doesn't feel like it) Bar staff were lovely and very understanding of masks with plenty of reminders to non-compliant patrons

The Havey has always been a pub that prides itself on it's food, the service is really good, I had the vegan schnitzel which could have been a little more crunchy on the outside, great place for a Sunday recovery lunch

Was there on a quiet Sunday night. Great range of beers and wine by the glass. Pulled pork burger was delicious and the chips crisp and hot. The staff were really excellent, friendly and offering advice on drinks, fetching extra plate and cutlery, really good.

I was in Adelaide for the tdu. Went here for dinner 3 times. Twice they fitted our group in when they had crowded bookings. The third time we ate outside on the tables in front of the hotel. Clean and friendly staff but it's not clear it's bar service untik you ask, and portions don't appear great. Suggestions are they need smaller plates to emphasise your meal or bigger portions.

Had my son's 21st party upstairs on The Balcony on 20 October. What a fantastic night - the staff were outstanding especially the guys behind the bar - the food was delicious. Have been going here for many years and have never had a bad meal. Love the decor and atmosphere, always a parking space nearby, and their coffee is good too which is a nice bonus. Some people say the food is a little pricey, I say it is excellent value compared to some of the horrible cafes that are somehow not bankrupt yet. Keep doing what you do Havelock crew.

I really enjoyed myself there. (Keep in mind this is the first time I've ever been there) I was there for a pub crawl and had a discount but even without it, The Havelock Hotel stands pretty remarkable for it's quality schinitties and cheap beers on tap. Got no issues with this place whatsoever.

Super fast service of meals. Chicken burger was tasty but lots of slaw made it a bit sloppy. Salt pepper squid seemed like it was the standard frozen stuff like at a lot of pubs. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My first time here. I was suprised by the country feel and friendliness of the staff, very helpful and polite. Table service was prompt and the waitress very helpful. Very good menu and reasonable prices. There were 4 of us and we found a nice, cosy spot to sit. Being a Friday night it was suprisingly quiet apart from a live duo singing in the back ground, which just added to the atmosphere. Our food arrived in good time and i must say, we all enjoyed them. 2 entrès, four mains and several beverages came in under $150. Will definitely be back in the near future.

Lovely Art Deco building which is lovely inside. The food was great and reasonably priced. Happened to be there when a guitarist/singer was performing made for a great atmosphere.

Cleanliness is an issue. The floors are filthy and the ledge behind me was covered in a thick layer of dust and there was a piece of old chewing gum on top. This ledge is right by the tables where you eat your meals. The decorative screen, also filthy. Less standing around talking and more cleaning please. The food was good though.

After holding our daughters 21st last night in one of their function rooms we can highly recommend the Havelock for anyone else thinking about doing the same. The staff were fantastic, very accommodating and friendly throughout, with both the organisation and service on the night. Nothing was too much trouble and we even ended up with money left over. Food was great also. A special shout out to thank Tessa for answering all our silly questions and keeping us on track with preparations. Soooooo impressed. Keep up the great work everyone!!!
