We used the function room upstairs for a lunch celebration after a registry wedding and it was perfect! Staff were friendly and helpful and the upstairs space is an amazing venue for a private function. I would recommend working out your food options beforehand as a couple of the meals were on the dry side.

We had a staff lunch here and I will definitely come back to try more off the menu. Size proportions are just right, it is a little pricy but staff are prompt and courteous. Bar has a very nice atmosphere for quick catch ups in little groups.

Love it! One of the best pubs in Adelaide - a hidden gem. Delicious lunches, lovely staff and a great range of drinks. Also happens to be really nice inside - really nice ambiance and enjoyable each time I am there.

Good food, the new menu is quite the supprise. the new chef must have trained outside of Australia. Very good The new paint being the light whites and tones make the place fell more spacious the previously when it was more dull and dark. Plenty of choices of beer, all the mainstream plus a few tasty boutique creations every now and then as they change them out. In evenings when it starts to get warming it's going to be a contested place to sit out at a table on/in the "#parklet" thing after a long Thursday or Friday at work to help unwind with a few drinks.

Watch the buzz of the city pass you by on Grenfell and Pirie Streets, but feel like you're a world away - the vibe on Coromandel Pl is sublime when you want to escape the busy pubs of Rundle St. Thursday and Friday $6 pints of some tap bevs. Lovely staff, great little outdoor seating parklet. Drawbacks are early closing time (last drinks at 8:30pm on a Thursday!?), an unfortunate side effect of being a touch off the beaten track, and music can also get a little loud inside for an otherwise tame venue.

Great atmosphere from the old Historian pub.Plenty of tap beers to choose from.Had chicken parmy ,tender good size and enjoyed the hand cut chips with side salad.Well worth a visit if you can find it down in Coremandel place.

Thanks for hosting the AGM last night of the History Council of South Australia. The room upstairs is ideal for functions such as this and is possibly one of the unknown secrets of Adelaide. And what should also not be a secret is the friendliness of staff and the great meals which come from the kitchen
