Lovely surrounds . Staff very helpful. Meals that we had were nice .I feel the pricing was very high for pub food . I had Chicken leg small salad and rice with a dark sauce which was very nice. The chicken leg did ave a bit to much sinue and not much meat . Pricing more toward fine dinning not pub meals. Overall I would not complain at service and standard of food just a bit to high in price compared to others hotels. John drake .

So glad this pub is my local! The staff are always excellent, food quality and nothing beats a glass of wine under the verandah on a warm summers day. The chicken schnitzel is exceptionally good, so to are the burgers and the salt and pepper squid. The seasoning they put on their chips is 👌🏻 Hot tip, the house white is an excellent SA local wine and you can buy a bottle of it in the bottle shop next door!

First time customer. We ordered dinner delivered from the Port Admiral Hotel restaurant recently and it was absolutely delicious, mouthwatering and beautifully cooked and presentation. We ordered: Wood Grilled Portuguese Chicken with Scorched corn, chilli, green leaves, pickled red onions, porto dressing, creamy potato salad (gf). Crinkle Cut Chips (VO / GF) Environmentally friendly takeaway packaging. The Wood Grilled Portuguese Chicken was juicy and tender, and the salads were beautifully made. I especially loved the potato salad and how perfectly soft cooked the potatoes were. I often avoid potato salad from restaurants and takeaway stores because majority of places don’t cook the potatoes properly and they’re often undercooked…. Well, the chef/cook who is at the Port Admiral restaurant is an excellent chef/cook. Everything about the food we had was exceptional. Perfect balance of flavours & seasoning. Top quality! Unfortunately they don’t currently offer their restaurant menu desserts on their MenuLog app delivery menu. Hopefully management or the kitchen will consider adding this to the menu soon. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning customers!

Best pub in the North West - pop in pretty much weekly for the past few years, food has always been excellent no matter what you get. Passes the pub schnitty test with flying colours. Always a good selection of beers on tap and the staff are great.

Stopped by the new hotel for lunch. Nicely fitted out new establishment. Great service. Very friendly staff. Loved the menu. I had the 500g rump steak with 3 sides. It was cooked to perfection and went down a treat with blue cheese sauce. Washed it down with 2 draft pirate life pints. The kids meals were enormous for $8. Highly recommended.

Went there today to celebrate father's Day. The staff are so friendly and happy. The food comes out hot and there is plenty of it. Great value for money. PORT ADMIRAL HOTEL My wife and I have been wanting to check this place out since it reopened. Heard really great things and was hoping it would deliver, and that it did I reserved a table “this morning” on their online booking system. Made a custom request to be positioned in the sun. They called me shortly after to confirm my booking ✅. We arrived on time and noticed a card on a table with my name and the umbrella down, had to be for me 🌞. We went halves in the beef schnitzel with a side of leafy greens with sauce and dressing on the side with an extra plate ✅. Drink of choice was of course the port local brewed by locals 🏴‍☠️ pirate life 🏴‍☠️. The staff were amazing, food was delicious and quick, plates and cutlery were spotless and the vibe was there. Upstairs they have balcony seating and a pool room with its own bar ( free pool Sunday 1400-1800 ) we are keen to get some friends and experience this Sunday session. Outside is a beer garden which also looked very inviting. Overall first experience was definitely a positive one ✅

Totally in love with this space. Great crew and good food so far. Enjoying their Port Lager brewed by Pirate Life and their daily happy hour from 530 to 630. Thanks to your Wednesday night team this week. We had a small group of 5 for a few drinks. 4 of us ate a meal. What a feed! We ordered too much and all went home full and content. The chicken wings and the cauliflower equivalent were the standout!!! And what a busy night your Wednesday nights are! This pub was abandoned for decades, it’s good to see it alive and busy. Great selection of craft beer but not a lot of standard beer options for people not in the craft scene. Some staff are great and will stop to chat, others are a little uptight. Pint prices are approximately $9-14. Unique and tasty pub-fare food at standard prices. Vegan & vegetarian food also available. Upstairs offer great balcony views and function room also available. The pub has a non-drive-through bottle shop with a large variety of craft beers.

The place has been done up very nicely on the outside and in. The tables with the heaters u underneath were perfect for a cold winters day, the staff were friendly and efficient. They have plenty of heers on tap including some locally brewed gems. The real highlight though was the amazing food. My wife had the $20 steak and it melted, grit or fat just a very nice aood oven cooked steak. I had the Burger and it was amazing especially with the tasty crinkle cut chips. Will definitely be back.

The team at the PAH have really done an amazing job bringing renewed life to a historic venue. The building looks amazing and has been restored beautifully. Keeping a lot of the historic fixtures and just updating the decor and fittings has kept a real old world charm to the inside. I can see this place getting so packed during summer. The service was fantastic and was good to see some familiar faces from the SA hospitality industry. Beer line up was great, with the PL Lager tasting great compared to the big boys. Food menu was good with your standard pub fare, but some added bonuses coming from the PA “Chip Shop.” Prices were reasonable for what you get. Food quality was on point for pub fare. Can’t wait to go back and also see how this place evolves over time.

The Port Ads is the pub of my dreams and I've loved coming there every single time - I wish it were my local. Vibes are always wonderful, food is bloody excellent and the service is always so attentive and welcoming. I cannot stress enough my absolute love for this establishment. They've got it so so right. I've come in multiple times with my little sister who has a plethora of annoying allergies, and she is always made to feel very secure as well, which makes a world of difference. Big ups to the crew, and particularly to Rita and Kat for always being so accomodating and bloody lovely! x

I phoned a few minutes prior to the hotel closing lunch service on Sunday 14th June. The staff member who answered the phone was more than happy to wait for me to park the car keeping the kitchen open for us to order lunch. My partner and I ordered cheesy garlic bread 2 steaks, one med rare one medium with sides. They arrived quickly and cooked to perfection. The meat was very tender. The sides were also perfect. The bread delicious. I myself am a qualified chef having over a decade in the industry , it’s fair to say I am a harsh critic. On this occasion from my phone call to book until leaving my partner and I had an experience that was faultless and flawless . From the Staff, food, drinks and cleanliness. There was nothing I could possibly mark our experience down from a perfect 10. I can’t recall the last time I could say that. I will certainly be back and will certainly bring others.thank you and well done.

I had the Parmi. Chicken was so good. Actual chicken, crumbed like a homemade schnitzel. Prices are reasonable. Unfortunately I found service to be a little lacking in the night, but it may just have been a one off. Keen to try again and will update accordingly!

So happy to see that the oldest pub in the Port is up and running, and fabulous too. Service was great, every staff member was welcoming, polite and professional. My meal was awesome and our table of 13 all enjoyed their meals too. Our vegetarian friend was so happy with a pub that offerred a vego meal that wasn't pasta! It's almost unheard of to not see a vegetarian pasta dish in sight and to offer 4 vego choices! Wow. Meals were huge too. I am a big fan. All the more reason to visit the Port and soak up the history and its regeneration. Highly recommend 😊

The Port Admiral is such a rad place to eat and drink in the Port. Amazing, tasty as food with great portion size and an excellent selection of craft beers and wines are on offer here. Plus there are some excellent vegan meals on the menu and others that are able to be vegan optioned. The staff are so friendly and if you're an NBA fan, drop in for lunch during the season and catch a game on the TV. I highly recommend the Admiral.

Love going to Port Admiral Hotel for a good chicken schnitzel with parmigiana sauce and for their spicy buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese sauce. They serve proper pub food that actually tastes amazing and does not disappoint. I also love their tab beer ranging from commercial to craft beers. I also noticed they carry a great collection of whisky. They do get really busy during peak hour as it is a well known hotel.

Had the miso roasted eggplant with Asian greens and will be thinking about how tasty it was for some time to come! As always, the craft beer selection is huge, local, and always changing to showcase what's innovative and best to drink. Had the tangerine sour ale, which was incredible. They have done a lovely job of restoring this landmark hotel. The new theme is a mix of Fish and Chip shop dining and classic Australian front bar. I found the seating options limited inside with a choice of either a high bar stools along a trestle-table shared with other patrons or very small tables for two along the walls. We chose to dine outside under the ample verandah. Which is a little noisy as the pub is located on a busy intersection. We had chicken schnitzel, oddly with the wing attached. Although the chicken itself was fine I found a schnitzel with bones to be an odd choice and would have preferred it traditional boneless. The chips were fine but the salad was uninspired limp rocked with a greasy dressing. Cost was $19.

You can also buy from their attached bottleshop and drink at the bar, although a corkage fee is involved.
