Ordered lamb rump - cooked to perfection. The trio of chips were unique and they were PERFECT! The sweet potato chips are to die for, I’m already trying to figure out when to come back for them! The staff & chefs are lovely and friendly. 100% recommended! Visit number 2: still yum but they’ve altered menu, no lamb rump😢. All fries/ wedges still to die for & all staff are so lovely! Must support this little gem!

Rob Roy is Adelaide's best kept secret. I came here for lunch on Friday 19 March 2021. The chef here is very, very good! The 300g sirloin steak, medium rare, was perfectly chargrilled with an intense smokey aroma but the masterpiece was the sweet potato wedges, the best I have ever tasted in my life! Outside it is light and crispy without any hint of grease, and inside all buttery creamy melt in the mouth moistness. The steak comes with red wine jus but you can choose from a wide selection of sauces. Though cooked to perfection, I do not recommend the steak because the steak itself is too lean and dry, perhaps because it is sirloin and not Scotch. The Black Forrest treat totally exceeded my expectations. Even better than Black Forrest cake. So, so fresh and light, yet chocolatey and creamy, with a dollop of cherry coulis and syrup in between layers. Divine with a cup of steaming hot and really good coffee. Will be back soon, for sure.

A while ago we were there for a friends birthday (surprise) and my friend who accompanied me had certain food allergies, which can make dining out very tricky (canola oil) Of course the waitress we had went above and beyond to help my friend find something she could eat that wouldn’t make her sick. Nice place for a pub meal. The food is really good, with good sized portions. The staff are excellent, specially 'Zee' the manager is really hospitable and friendly. It's easy to make a booking online and the response is very quick and prompt. This place has comfy indoor and outdoor seating options. Lovely place to go alone or with mates. Parking on the street is easily available and not a hassle. Will definately be going there again soon.

Great food. Sloppy service. I was told that no tables were available until I found one that was not reserved. Twice the waiter couldn't get the steaks sorted. Chef couldn't even work out which one was medium or medium rare. Second visit where service was lacking.

The pasta was undercooked and it said it came with sundried tomatoes but it came with just tomato cut up. The nacho chips had an "funky" taste. Food was delicious. the staff were friendly and gave great service. As someone that's worked behind bars before, it's always nice to see bar staff smiling and happy when serving. In particular, last night when we were there, a lady behind the bar - Kristen - was outstanding with both food and bar service. Ps. Kristen was so modest I almost had to bribe her to take a selfie with me! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. :)

The staff are always friendly and helpful, the room is always set up exactly how we have asked, and they are always willing to help us with any audio or technical issues to ensure our event runs smoothly each time. The meals there are delicious, and they have added a new menu recently that is amazing. I love that there is a good range of choices too. We love using this venue as it is also well located in the city and usually easy to find parks nearby. I would definitely recommend you try them for dinner, or if you are holding an event it's definitely worth considering the Rob Roy Hotel as your location!

Excellent feed, a few dishes have lots of choices. I reccomend the 300g steak with your choice of 3 chip styles and 2 options of salad. I went sweet potato wedges with rocket, pear and parmesan salad. Staff are really attentative and friendly. Dining area is very cosy and quiet, not loud as the fit out absorbs a lot of noise. Well done, we will be back again next week. Sunday lunch has live music this week and they are doing fringe shows so book ahead guys. You will love this place, we do.

The staff are the shinning stars at the rob roy are shining stars of what bar staff should be friendly personable and know their product lines leaving with a Sence of warm comfortable place to stop for a quick pint or Friday nock off drinks. The Whiskey Menu is excellent but half the whiskeys weren’t available and they ran out of a lot of spirits. Hopefully just a road hump as love sitting outside there on an afternoon.

Myself and a group of friends came in to the Rob Roy to watch American Football Playoffs on a Sunday morning/lunch time after leaving the Ale House because of their refusal to put commentary on for us. I can’t speak highly enough of how accommodating the staff were, setting us up with our own space to watch the game (with sound!!!) and we were also given complimentary nachos and pretzels. Every year me and my friends have a bit of a tradition of watching the first week of NFL playoffs together and we will definitely be returning to the Rob Roy!

My only concern about this place is the inconsistency of the quality. The first 2 dinners I had there were outstanding, but the third one was a disaster where the kitchen ran out of chicken, and, had offered us instead a meat pie. To be fare to the business, the last dinner was part of a big event if 80 persons.

We celebrated a friend's birthday at the Rob Roy. It was fantastic. The menu isn't huge, but it's great quality. I had the chicken caesar salad (it's not called that on the menu, but that's essentially what it is) but without the anchovies. It was amazing and really quite a substantial meal, with plenty of chicken. A friend had the gnocchi, and it looked like a work of art. He loved it. The wine list is impressive, and I highly recommend the Rusden Driftsand GSM, which is not easy to find these days. Our main server was Tegan, and we were amazed at how friendly, attentive and knowledgeable she was. (We were served by other great staff as well, but unfortunately I didn't get their names.) The only criticism I have of this venue - and it's something that predates the current owners - is the noise. It's actually an easily solved issue - just hang some rugs or tapestries on the wall. I recommend to the management to research "acoustic baffling" on Google - it would very much enhance the amenity of the venue. I will continue to come back to this venue, and would recommend it to anyone as a quality pub dining experience.

Ok - List them off: Rogers ale, Gnocchi with perfect veal ragu, Glayva, Partagas cigars - all available - that's a rare quadrella. Throw in great service, a serene atmos, good company, an evil dessert and a very reasonable price and I'd challenge anyone in this lil town to come up with another venue which can turn out such a perfect dinner date.

Very hard place to review. Had lunch with family here Sunday and our food was nice enough with being outstanding. Staff members were friendly but both mentioned they were short staffed and new to the job which in my eyes is a bit unprofessional.They forgot my meal also but was brought out 10 minutes later so not too much delay.
