We always receive great service at the DOB. The Gluten Free menu makes lunch or dinner a relaxing pleasant experience. The food is tasty. They also have an amazing Gin list.
M. S.
first time visiting this pub - such awesome vibes and more so amazing food! for someone that has to eat gluten free this place was so easy breezy as the entire menu was gluten free! love love and will definitely be going back!

If you only do dinner at one pub in Adelaide, make sure it's the DoB.
Seriously awesome food, with EVERYTHING on the menu being gluten free. A coeliac sufferer's dream come true.
And the staff deserve a high distinction - they couldn't do enough to make our visit enjoyable.

After a solid day of exploring the bars and pubs of Gilbert Street, we ended up at the Duke for a night cap and dinner. Lovely, fire warmed interior and cool beer garden out the back. Friendly service and schnitties were on point
H. A.
A Cozy pub with a really friendly atmosphere. Good food, variety of beer and wine to select from and you don't feel like leaving once you go in.

DOB is the best pub in Adelaide. 100% gluten free so very safe for those of us with Coeliac Disease. The staff are so lovely. The pub has a variety of meals, prices are extremely reasonable and a great wine list. Love the food! We recently had dinner on the new balcony and it was so refreshing.
E. D.
My favourite pub in Adelaide! Their whole menu of delicious gluten free food made picking so extremely difficult! The burger and chips were epic. The staff are lovely and their drinks list is vast. Highly recommend a visit and come with an empty stomach!
C. W.
To go somewhere and freely order, minus the need to worry if it's gluten free or not, was absolutely amazing! Relaxed yet professional and friendly customer service. Beautiful food. I will be back to try the waffles, I ran out of room 😭
D. A.
Great find! The menu is all gluten free and absolutely delicious. It was great to finally have gf spring rolls and samosa. Highly recommend the pizzas. Would love to see more of this throughout Australia.
S. O.
I came to the Duke of Brunswick for their innaugural whisky tasting of some premium whiskies from the Tasmanian distillery, Lark. Had a spot of lunch beforehand.
As you'll see from their menu, it is entirely gluten free, so coeliacs certainly have a safe space here! Really good food, too - the chicken schnitzel I had for lunch was delicious; it came out quickly, the staff were lovely and a real nice ambiance on a sunny Saturday lunch time.
Totally recommend looking into any further tastings they may have, too. We tasted some pretty amazing whiskies in the afternoon, hosted by Alex and Simone - which was fun and informative and above all else, the whiskies were tasty!

What a great establishment with such an edge on other pubs, I love the beautiful heritage feel and the make over has seriously just set put this place on a level above the rest.
Staff, food and especially desert was as good as any around.
Will definitely be back

First time at the Duke of Brunswick last night. Food was fantastic and delicious. Our daughter was recently diagnosed as coeliac and it was a joyous feeling she could order anything from the menu. Really liked the eclectic vibe. Thanks for a great night, we will return!!
M. H.
By chance we found this pub that is 100% gluten free. A real breath of fresh air in this space of dietary restrictions. The garden in the back has a lovely atmosphere. Staff is great with some fun tongue in cheek humor.
L.
This is a nice experience. Great beer, great food and friendly staff. Nice to see that gluten free (GF) catering has come so far!
R. E.
There is something for everyone here, whether you're vegan, dairy free and of course gluten free, you can find something to eat. The garlic bread is especially amazing along with the pizza both of which don't even taste gluten free!!
L. J. P.
The wait time was around an hour (on a Wednesday night). Service was fine. The burger was $23 and salad was $28 - over-priced, food was average.
J. N.
What a great find! Visiting Adelaide for work and discovered this gem! Thank you Jen for your awesome hospitality and I look forward to visiting again. Beautifully delicious food!
Highly recommend!!!!
C. B.
Came for the dumplings but they weren't on the menu so we had the chicken and it was delicious, the blue cheese sauce was amazing,
A. H.
Our group had booked the outdoor area for our granddaughter's 21st birthday. On arrival it was dirty with rubbish on the floor. We had to ask staff to come and clean it. There was no lighting out there either which wasn't very good once the sun had set, also we had to ask for cutlery when our meals arrived.
M. H.
Food superb, serves very generous, gluten free too. Highly recommend this place. Food exceptional 😋
J. C.
Great food, with a gluten free menu and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Also great service, staff friendly and attentive.
B. C.
As someone who is new to food allergies this place is like mana from heaven. To be able to have traditional pub food that is Gluten free was beautiful. The best part was that you didn't feel like you were sacrificing taste or spending a small fortune just to get what you want. When we did run into some complications, the head chef came out to see if he could help. The GF beer was impressive as well. The decor was a total mash up of rejected restaurant chairs and tables and is in serious need of some replacement but overall, if you have diet restrictions and want comfort food this is the place to go. I will be back.
B. B.
A pub meal, which is gluten free and free of nuts and any gluten. A simply amazing experience having a pub meal without the fear of having traces of gluten. A coeliacs dream.
s. f.
Great place for dinner. Wonderful food. Safe for Gluten Free. For was hot, fresh, crisp, well spiced. We have come back 3 times in two weeks
G.
I took my partner here last night for dinner, as she is Gluten intolerant and has been craving a schnitzel for ages. The meal overall was delicious, with one of the best pub gravy I’ve had to date. The chips were fresh and crunchy and the chicken seemed good quality. It would have been nice to come with a small side of salad or vegetables though, which would be my only suggestion.
We actually ended up waiting over an hour for our meal, though there was a function on that had placed an order prior to us, so I don’t think they would usually take that long.
The bar has a very good selection of local beers and the bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel has a cosy atmosphere.
We will definitely be coming back and are keen to try the rest of the GF menu. Props to the Duke for catering to a GF audience. Cheers
Edit: We have come back many times since my review and the food is consistently good. We have had no further big wait times either, so it was definitely a once off issue. Now our go to pub for a schnitzel and the best we can find in Adelaide. My tip is to book a few days ahead, as it can be very hard to get a table on the same day.
M. C.
If you are gluten intolerant this is a good choice in a pub to have a meal and drink. Many options on the menu.
T. F.
As a Coeliac, this place is heaven. The ability to order something to eat without any doubt is amazing, the ability to wash it down with a beer is even better! When that food comes out, and it's absolutely delicious you're just laughing at this point but that's EXACTLY what the DoB provides.
It's also so cosy with multiple areas available to dine and chill in and the staff are super helpful and have sensational customer service; even when dealing with difficult customers during COVID times.
We had a whirlwind trip to Adelaide so could only make it once but I can't wait to come back when next down south.
Y. Z.
Interesting menu with several vegan options, tasty food, extensive drinks list, nice vibe, friendly staff, and outdoor dining areas.
A. R.
Absolutely beautiful fresh delicious food, nice decent sized main meal, all gluten free which is amazing! Lovely staff, and lovely garden out the back to eat at. Parents just have to be a bit careful with little ones touching the water feature and cacti which are the main decorations in the back garden. I will definitely be going back here! Loved it :)
T. P.
Flew from Sydney to have a Birthday dinner my Daughter as we are both celiac's. The food was excellent as was the service and the decor was lovely and rustic.
R. M.
2018 Coffee in the beer garden on a gorgeous autumn morning was excellent and the staff were friendly.
Jun 5 2020 update. (Not the first time I’ve been back since that initial review)
Post Covid visit to the DoB today for a late lunch and was greeted with a warm welcome back. The team has taken the safety of customers seriously with sanitiser available and staff actively cleaning after the lunch time patrons. The bar service was fast and friendly and the food was equally quick to arrive. With my partner being a coeliac sufferer she was stoked with all GF menu and the tap beer. The food was quick to arrive and super tasty and high quality. Well done to Simone, Alex and the team for a safe friendly and delicious eased restrictions late arvo lunch.
L. W.
Great beers, great staff. What's a pub without its people? Well you're not going to find out here, the people make the (admitadly excellent) place. A classic Adelaide pub, just get around it, ok?!!
A. P.
Succulents in the beer garden, yummy food with a variety of options for the vegos in our group. Super dog friendly and waiting staff were definitely up for a laugh
M. A.
The 'dob' as this hip little pub is affectionately called, has rocketed in popularity this year. This is mainly because of its commitment to provide a gluten free menu without compromising flavor, texture and variety. There's still pub favorites like burgers, spicy wings, dip platters and schnitties; plus the BEST EVER chunky house cut chips! The dob offers a range of entertainment over seven days and nights - check social media for details. I personally love the back deck beer garden and the on street tables on a balmy night.
R. W.
Good menu, great hard working attentive staff. Could do with a couple of extra staff to help. Everyone thought the food was tasty and fresh. Coeliac and non coeliac people loved it all. Best and biggest mojito I've ever had in Adelaide. Photo of leftover Ploughman's which was huge and exactly how it should be.
V. E.
Reasonable vegan menu, pleasant atmosphere in the Secret garden, with a back entrance for well behaved dogs to join you for ... 🐺
M. H.
Nice beer garden, great range of drinks.
Coeliac certified ❤️
Great food. All the things we can't usually have.
G. N.
Love this pub!
Wonderful out in the Beer Garden
Lovely staff
Good prices@

Impressed with such a wide range of gluten free options-thoroughly enjoyed the experience

Great food and service.
Had the beef ragout from the special menu and it was heavenly tender, flavoursome and moist.
Kids meals we are also spot on, fish and chips GF was so crispy. Kids loved it. Also the portions are very generous. Will be going back.

As a Coeliac, this place is heaven. The ability to order something to eat without any doubt is amazing, the ability to wash it down with a beer is even better! When that food comes out, and it's absolutely delicious you're just laughing at …

Amazing Chicken Parmi! Great service and nice place. 100% GF

Great pub, friendly bar staff and really nice private rooms for events. Love it

As a person with coeliac disease, this place is my safe haven! Great selection, and I don't have to worry about contamination. The food is of great quality. I would give 5 stars, but I've had a couple dissatisfying experiences. One time I ordered salt and pepper squid that was too salty. Another time I ordered a pasta (special of the day) and was informed that it had a creamy base, but instead was served up a pasta that had tomato chutney as the sauce and it was awful. Due to being misinformed, I was offered a free dessert, and the manager changed that dish from the menu after I spoke to them about it because they want to keep customers happy in the future. Had a couple other not-so-great experiences, but overall it's been great. I have noticed that their bread for the hot dogs has improved, I was impressed. I'm keen to try more dishes here. Despite a couple poor experiences, I've had many good experiences here too.
V. S.
Lovely outdoor dining and very welcoming for us and our fur baby
j. K.
Very nice, food, atmosphere and staff. Plus my puppy was on the wall. A photo not the actual puppy.
L. R.
Food is always awesome. Staff are amazing. And best part is fully approved coeliac pub, no fear of cross contamination!!! 👌
T. O.
Amazing food, extensive and varied menu, as well as an excellent wine list and great range of beers. Such a treat if you are gluten free (GF) to be able to enjoy so many pub classic dishes and fried foods. This restaurant is supported by a very friendly and welcoming team, who all provide great customer service. Thank you to The Duke of Brunswick Hotel!
A. C.
Impressed with such a wide range of gluten free options-thoroughly enjoyed the experience
V. B.
This is the place to go to if you can only have gluten free. You would not even know your meal did not contain gluten. And the gin range is fantastic.
S.
I have celiacs disease and DOBs all gluten free menu is so good to see!
F. T.
At last! A fully gluten free menu. So much choice and every one tempting. Friendly staff, prompt service. Great food. Highly recommended.
P. W.
Was lovely Thank you. We were well looked after. We are going back there again some time soon. Was our first time there for a family event. I order chicken schnitzel. And another time . I ordered the spicy chicken wings which is an entree. It was large enough for a lunch time meal.
F. N.
I think in the past four years I visited this place more than I’ve visited my loved ones houses!
I think the renovation that they just underwent in the past year is well worth the restructure of the menu and layout.
Everything on that menu is a banger, sometimes I go in and just ask the waiter to surprise me :)
As one of the only coeliac Australia accredited establishments in Adelaide, it is the jewel of the inner city and a haven for coeliacs who just want a good pub meal with a family friendly atmosphere.
I miss the Rib-wich ( big rib burger with house made fries) -but I’m not disappointed to see that with every new chef that they take on they modify the menu to best suit the strengths of that individual. It really adds character to this establishment.
I also went to tasting Australia’s 2021 San Remo Italian themed pasta tasting. It was worth every penny, but between my partner and I, we could not finish all the food that was brought to us we all got four main meals each!
B. B.
Love this place. Great food and gluten free. Dog friendly
S. P.
Thee gluten free, go to, pub in Adelaide. Both food and beer covered. For those non gf diners, nothing to worry about, food is top notch and service is with a smile.
M. H.
Seriously the best gluten free food we've ever had! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. There are so many vegetarian/vegan options, finally a place were I wasn't stuck with plain veggies. The servings were huge, you will not leave hungry and the food had so much flavour! Best dining experience we have had in a long time.
Definitely our new regular spot. Thanks so much team 😊
B. C.
Amazing service! Delivered food promptly and with energy! The garlic pizza was bliss and the schnitzel was tasty as! Thank you!
C. J. M.
Our new favourite 🙌
The gluten free options at most places taste gluten free 😅, or have too much fancy stuff going on.......here you get real sized pub meals that taste AMAZINGGGGGG! 😍
The whole ride home we kept checking the website to make sure we read it was 100% gluten free because we just couldn't believe what we ate tasted so hearty and delicious 🤯
All three staff that we met were incredibly nice and made us feel really welcomed 😊
Finally found a pub with real pub meals.....AND coeliac friendly 👌👌
Recommend a million times over ⭐
K.
Only been here for events, but keen to come back for a dinner and drinks to try the menu.
Great little event rooms for fringe shows, small and intimate but not uncomfortable.
Staff were helpful, and stayed open late during those times so we weren't kicked out after a late show to the street straight away which was nice 💖
R. C.
Great pub, friendly bar staff and really nice private rooms for events. Love it
C. T.
Are here again.
Great pub food, no gluten containing ingredients or products on site so safe for coeliacs.
Food tasted great had a fish and chips that was outstanding with a side of drumsticks and onion rings.
Great service, generous portion, great atmosphere, coeliac safe. Couldn’t reccomend it more.
M. R.
My beautiful man was concerned I never had more than a couple of gluten free options when dining out. The whole menu is gluten free and you wouldn't even know! Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Big serves and great service. We will be back.
J. P.
Loved the food, all gluten free. Lots of quirky art and an amazing selection of gin if you are into it. Fireplaces with crackling fires too and on a cold winters night, what more could you possibly want? Perhaps an uber if you get too much into the gins.
G. N.
Love this pub!
Wonderful out in the Beer Garden
Lovely staff
Good prices@
M. C.
Great food, with options for all dietary needs. Varied wine selection, and a good choice of beers on tap.
Family friendly facilitates with change tables in both m&f toilets.
Highly recommended and definitely will be back.
S. R.
Over cooked my steak, med. well when specified as med. rare. That said it was still good and the had good craft beer.
S.
Fantastic food and great friendly service. I had the battered fish and chips. Two huge pieces of mouth watering fish on top of a bed of chips. Wouldn't have minded a little bit of salad on the side, but I don't know if I would have had room anyway. All food is gluten free so I could relax and enjoy as I am a coeliac. Every one at our table enjoyed their meals too. I will be going again for sure. 👍❤️
J. H.
What a great experience at the DOB - fantastic food, great atmosphere and very attentive and helpful staff. I have attended a number of group and business functions at this pub and have not been disappointed. Highly recommended,

We went there for our 30th wedding anniversary party with a group of 20 in a upstairs function room and we could not fault anything at all. When we arrived the room had been set up for us which was more than we expected. The food was 10/10 all the platters and main meals were of exceptional quality everyone enjoyed it , not one complaint. Then Riley who was our barman as well as our host took such good care of everyone a true gentleman. Couldn’t do enough for everyone right to the end of the night.
Thank you DOB and Riley. Keep up the great work and hope to see you again.
S. S.
Great all gluten free food, great people, great service. And, this place is welcome to all.💚
B. W.
This place is brilliant. Big rooms that don't echo, well staffed by seriously friendly, happy staff. I has been a while since I have seen so many staff members in pub.
Rooms not overly decorated (great for my autistic child), BOOKS while you wait.
Not that there is long to wait. Meals, which cater for those who normally have traditional meals, came out hot, fast and delicious and in decent sizes.
The garlic bread, the hot dogs, the ploughmans lunch, the meat skewer, and the Chinese pork dish. All gluten free and perfect.
Drinks were spot on. 67 types of gins. The wine list was huge!
I found my go to pub. Thank you very much DOB!!
A. P.
Perfect place to meet up with friends. Food was good too.
R. Q.
The little pub is busy & buzzing. Great wine list & gluten free menu
Service for our group was disappointing from the managing staff who were flustered during busy tasting Oz weekend. Our attempt to book a dinner was handled in a very haphazard & grumpy way by the manager setting up for lunch. The day time Manager chose to be huffy & precious. When we arrived the evening manager seemed equally spent from tasting Oz activities. He kept walking off mid discusión. All other Staff, in general were good & helpful. Food was ok. Some of the team at the Duke act like everyone should be aware of the food & questions we asked were handled in various ways. For example, I asked if the chutney served on the parmigiana was sweet. (Usually chutney to my knowledge is sweet).
Apparently not though, according to staff. It was sweet & chutney like, therefore disappointing for me and the others at my table who ordered it.
I wasn’t a fan of the old dining room that was noisy and felt more like a school classroom. (I’d advise checking out dining areas). Some are better than others
This place could be incredible, if the leaders & managers of the floor were a bit more progressive, informative, open & welcoming
A. H.
Lars was funny, friendly and sharp and such an entertainer. The food was incredible and I absolutely loved my first ever gf burger - the Korean chicken burger. It was 10/10 and finally I understand why people love burgers. Already planned
A. N.
What a great place. Friendly staff, awesome atmosphere and to top it off the food is to die for. But the most amazing part is knowing that I can have anything on the menu because its coeliac approved.
J. M.
Amazing Chicken Parmi! Great service and nice place. 100% GF
G. B.
Great food good service. Recommended.
T. M.
My partner is a long term celiac & was just loving the fact she could choose absolutely ANYTHING from a menu.
I had the parmi & she chose the schnitzel with a salad to share, it tasted fantastic & was a great sized meal & good value.
Will definitely come back again.
A. R.
Great gf only menu. Awesome for my gf daughter and wife. We had a separate room with board games and couches. Very cosy
E. N.
Always make sure to come here anytime im in adelaide! So good to not have to think about gluten free options and great selection of gins !!
C. G.
Awesome food, wine list, beer taps, beautiful venue and beer garden and the hospitality is outstanding - and to top it off, super dog friendly. So good we went two nights in a row! Def the best pub in the area. Thanks to all the staff with a special shout out to Ross for the hospo and welcoming the Vics! Def be back on our next visit and spreading the word. Highly recommended :-)
M. G.
Food was lovely and big serves. Great for my sister who is coeliac and could just order from the menu. Friendly staff and quick service.
C. N.
Love that I can safely eat here as a coeliac. Food is great quality and they have a wide drinks menu.
R. W.
Great food, with a 100% gluten free menu! Was very excited to go with my Coeliac wife. The food was really nice.
P. C.
First visit tonight, excellent food fit for any coeliac and my accompanying husband. The sticky brownie was the best. Definitely be back, very friendly staff well done.
D. K.
With my wife's recent diagnosis of coeliac disease, her discovery of The Duke of Brunswick Hotel has been wonderful giving her hope of still being able to enjoy a great dining experience without the frustration of limited menu options. The choice of exclusively gluten free food was extensive, including pub favourites and the customer service brilliant! We enjoyed a fantastic night out and now have a new favourite pub that we both can enjoy.
P. K.
First time dining at this gluten free, Coeliac Aus accredited pub in Adelaide. Great service. Extended menu - all of which is gluten free! Delicious food. What more could you ask for? (Maybe just that I still had room for dessert 🤣🤣)
Being able to eat garlic bread again was great. This will definitely become my new favourite pub 😀😀😀
E. A.
As someone who is just starting on their gluten free journey, this place gave me hope that gluten free doesn't mean that it has to taste like cardboard. The fried chicken and arancini balls were amazing, the decor was lovely and l was even impressed with the gluten free beer. Definitely will be back to try everything on the menu.
J. R.
These guys were fantastic. They were about to close the kitchen when we got their late, but they kept for us so we could have dinner with drinks. Highly recommend for pub vibes.
A. L.
Called in without a booking on Sunday and was greeted and seated by the friendly staff. My mind was blown by the fantastic choices on offer on their totally gluten free menu. Spoilt for choice we went for the salt and pepper squid and the arancini balls. Both were absolutely delicious!
I've found my place to visit for a great meal and friendly atmosphere every time we are in town. Thanks Duke of Brunswick, yummm!!!
A. d.
Fantastic pub, great food and staff who care about the customers😊
M. P.
A great pub, great atmosphere, staff and service - nothing was any trouble for them. 100% gluten free menu made my mum's day! They truly understand those with coeliac disease and what they go through to get a true, gluten free meal! To be told that she could safely order absolutely anything off the menu was unbelievable for Mum! We will be back next time we are in the city! Thank you!
J. T.
Couldn't have a better night if you tried.
The staff are always friendly, the (Entirely Gluten Free) food is always amazing, and the bevvies are always cold.
Don't miss 50c wing Tuesdays either!
D. S.
Great vibe, excellent service and food. Very attentive staff that know their business well.
F. G.
Great food. Also caters to those who may suffer from gluten intolerance.
B. M.
My partner is Gluten intolerant, I'm not .I was extremely surprised how good the food was
. Great staff and service. Will definitely be back 10/10 . Highly recommend.
C. W.
Great service, delicious food.. Reminds me of a homely establishment you'd find in the suburbs of Melbourne (in the best possible way!). The secret garden is a lovely space and the gluten and nut free menu makes life so much easier when dealing with dietary needs.
P. I.
I went here as part of an office event and could only sample a few things but full marks to the excellent veggie arancini and the vegan cold rolls. Have added to my bookmark list to go back for a drink or two on a leisurely evening. Bonus points for their pet station complete with treats and tennis balls!
J. J.
Awesome food, service and atmosphere. Staff super friendly. Entire menu is gluten free... i felt spoilt with the choices! Can't wait for the weather to warm up and enjoy the beer garden. Highly recommend the Duke for next time you are looking to eat in the city.

The staff are friendly, the food is ok, but there is room for improvement in that particular area.

Good food, Good atmosphere, Good staff. Thanks B1 and B 2..we will be back again.😀
C. C.
Cosy busy hotel. Service and food very good. Lots of small function rooms also. The parking wasn't easy around the hotel as there were so many no parking signs as its a residential area also...but worth a visit for sure.
D. B.
Went there for the Sip & Sign event.
Staff exceptionally friendly and polite.
Ordered the Salt & Pepper Squid, was ok, Not impressive. Friend ordered the Parma, felt the same.
Will try another dish, mainly because enjoyed the service.
C. B.
Great gulten free menu, good solid pub grub for Celiacs
C. J. L.
We used this place for business meeting. Location is couple of streets away from China Town and I was able to find free parking which was a plus. Small but nice place and friendly staff there.
E. J.
Great service and even better food! Amazing and all gluten free! 100% recommend and will be back!
K. M.
The beer garden was absolutely delightful. Not to mention the gluten free fries! Looking forward to having a full gf meal at this friendly hotel very soon.
T.
Lovely staff, nice pub, great food, awesome selection of wine, gin, whiskey and gluten free beer.
We'll be back.
F. B.
Nice feel and good food. Friendly staff and good wine
J. K.
Great selection of food, especially the vegan options. Awesome staff, super friendly and helpfully. This will become a regular place to eat for us... two thumbs up!
M. S.
Very good menu that caters for a variety of dietary limitations. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere, plenty of room around tables.
R. G.
100% Gluten Free kitchen is fantastic. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was prompt and yummy. Thank you for a lovely night. So nice not to have to worry about gluten for a night too!👍
D. P.
Great service and very nice meal.
S. D.
I had heard about all the wonderful things that The Duke of Brunswick Hotel were doing. Yesterday I asked my son to take me there for lunch because it had been on my wish list for some time. I live in the country and cannot drive so to have the opportunity to go out for a meal in Adelaide is very special to me, especially with my son. I have Coeliac Disease so eating out can be difficult, however yesterday I did not have to have the diet conversation. What an enourmous pleasure in itself! The food was so very good. The atmosphere was terrific and I found out that you can take your dog to the hotel. They have bowls, treats and tennis balls all ready for your pet family. I will return again and I will be able to take my dear dog with me. No more worrying about my diet or my dog. Doesn't get better than that. Thank you Duke of Brunswick staff for making my day so very special.
C. W.
Had dinner here last night for my birthday. The best GF menu I have ever seen! My daughter with multiple allergies was catered for really well, the head chef (Dave) contacted us in advance to advise what she could order. Everyone loved the food, even those who do not usually eat GF. Highly recommend.
N. B.
AHMAAAAAZING!!! 🙌 has been so long since I have had the pleasure of being able to select anything from a menu at a restaurant.. Well tonight was foodie heaven for me I had the freedom of eating anything I wanted and It was so delicious! My non Coeliac husband and children were ever so impressed and the kids even said "It was the best parmy they have ever had!" The meals were huge and every dish we chose was absolutely delicious and and being a 100% Gluten Free kitchen had me feeling at ease. The staff were ever so kind. We will definitely be back.
Thank you
L. C.
Great place the staff are so friendly and helpful. What can I say the chicken schnitzel was perfect. Definitely coming back with the family
A. W.
Very nice establishment with excellent service and good variety of drinks
D. R.
Great gluten free menu, in fact the whole place is accredited by the Coeliac Australia. A bit old worldy pub, but that adds to the atmosphere.
T. S.
I loved the Beef ribs and My Wife the Barramundi. Salad needs improving tomatoes unappealing and not ripe.
We ate there last Saturday night and loved the chicken wings, the blue cheese sauce is amazing when paired with the tomato sauce.
We also had the Chicken schnitzel which was very good, the Salad is still lacking care the dressing is over sweat and the salad has too much onion and 1 piece of tomato.
R. N.
Fantastic food and all Gluten free options
Food is delicious.
S. v. S.
Absolutely the best pub in Adelaide!!! The food is amazing, the range of drinks available is outstanding and the service is incredible!!!
Thank you team!
L. S.
As a coeliac its such a treat to be able to eat a meal and not have to worry about gluten but not only that the food was delicious and served by such friendly staff. My new favourite place!!
J. B.
First visit here, really great welcome, lovely place, great food and a HUGE wine list and selection of gin as well. We'll definitely return.
W. B.
Work lunch, ordered the wagyu steak, medium well, was cooked to perfection, no wait time to speak of. Great meal.
D. L.
Great service and what a amazing menu - all gluten free! This is by far one of the best unknown gems of the city and pubs in SA. Great variety of eating areas, extensive drink options and awesome beer garden out the back.
T. S.
All gluten free. Had the chicken burger. Really nice. Just need to have the bun warm or toasted. Loved the desert. Lovely atmosphere in the secret garden. The staff were very friendly.
D. R.
The Food was excellent. My wife is Coeliac, so having a 100% gluten free menu is great as well. Service was good too. Highly recommended.
B. C.
Meals were all excellent (best chicken schnitzel we've ever had in a hotel) as was the service. Only drawback being no carpark and street parking wasn't easy.
D. P.
Old fashioned pub with similar values, unique atmosphere.
All gluten free menu.
B. W.
A pub menu for those who cannot eat wheat. Gluten free Snitzel that tastes like a wheated one! Amazing. Vegan and vegetarian friendly menu. Great cocktails. Friendly staff. Will be returning.
D. W.
Has a big following for gluten free eating.
S. W.
Lovely hotel and meals came out really quickly and hot
P.
Absolutely brilliant food with an entire gluten free menu. I had a chicken burger for the first time in a long time, and from what I can compare it didn't have that heavy gluten free bread texture.or weight, was just like I remember a chicken burger.
J. W.
It was pretty good. The chicken schnitzel was decent as were the sweet potato chips. As a coeliac, it's good to be able to go to a pub without being restricted to just a few pricey choices.
N. D.
A fantastic old pub that has been brought into the 21st century. Lots of nooks and crannies and rooms for get togethers with friends, business colleagues or even just social meetings. There is even a bookcase in the front bar! The dining room also doubles as an art gallery. The food is excellent, a nice range with quality ingredients and very tasty. Highly recommended.
A. P.
Busy, clean, pleasant staff, reasonable parking that part of the city.
M. S. (. D.
If this isn't the best gluten free place in Australia, I beg you to show me one better. A gorgeous pub with a 100% gluten free menu. The atmosphere is so good you could eat it as well. The staff are the friendliest I've seen and the food is plentiful. I went home in a food coma. If there was the ability to give a 6th star, this would be the first time I get to use it.
A. S.
The most dog friendly pub in the world. Looked after our German Shepherd, Filbert, with tennis balls, water on tap and treats. Lovely food and very friendly service.
T. W.
Stay tuned Team. I didnt eat there that Sunday arvo. Just great service and a lovely beer. My next visit will be choosing from that top menu
K. R.
A great place for a course that i attended today. Good service and they offer gluten free menu and drinks for those with dietary requirements. Nice old pub with a quaint beer garden at the back.
T. S.
Wonderful casual dining with extensive f & b. How exciting to be able to order anything from the menu as a GF diner! Fast and friendly service. Coming back soon. T.S...
C. S.
Great pub, nice vibe, great food and beer selection. Staff are very friendly. A warm and welcoming place with lots of nooks, crannies as well as open spaces to suit everyone, Definitely coming back!
B. “. M.
My old review said, "nice spot" but now with the very friendly team who remember you, the amazing GF menu, and the GF beers, I have revised and elaborated more! Very pleased to have been coming here regularly for almost a year now, for work meetings and social activities. Well done and keep it up!
S. M.
Great meals, drink selection and service. Also great for booking venue rooms for business or recreational! Highly recommend
R. H.
Whole menu is Gluten free, with a great range of choices. Meals have been excellent. As a Coeliac it is a great relief to be able to eat out and not worry about being 'tainted' with gluten.
S. H.
We attended a meeting on the premises. The room was free. It was well set up and had all equipment working. Most participants then stayed for meals and drinks which were for of flavour and great portion size. Parking was easy. Staff were friendly and well organised.
T. S.
Absolutely a treasure in Adelaide. The food is absolutely delicious and I’m so happy that there is a place I can go with my partner to eat without worrying about him getting ‘glutened’ (celiac). Not to mention the lovely selection of beers and spirits to indulge in. Definitely a place to bring friends and have a bite!
S. M.
Nice meals. Some of our group were gluten free and they had the whole menu to choose from
P. B.
A cold Tuesday night. We wandered in because it was the only thing around that was open. Pretty good and well priced wine list but nobody behond the bar knew much about wine. The menu looked fine but the barramundi (and chips) that arrived was tough and I guess had been battered then frozen then cooked. Not expensive though.
B. L.
Great superb.
The extra effort for dessert was amazing.
R. T.
Beautiful food great service lovely settings
K. J.
Great place, massive meals, excellent service and good price, I would highly recommend this place.
Y. F.
Amazing gf food, as usual. The staff are kind to let me have my dog out in the garden dining area.
R. A.
A tribute to the Brunswick management that they stuck their necks out to make their kitchen completely gluten free. Adelaide Coeliacs unite and support this place. The meals BTW are delicious and the gf beer on tap quite good and locally produced. Hooray!
P. H.
Good, if not massive, selection of all gluten free food. Also a good selection of beers, wines and find from around the globe. Considering all the food was blown free, the price was not expensive. We'll be back again.
P. B.
Very child friendly, good range of menu options for various diets (veg*n, gluten or dairy free) that are reasonably priced. The beer garden is a delight and fully enclosed.
K. R.
Best pub around. Whole menu GF and beer options. They have 'normal' beer as well, I come here all the time with non coeliac people and they love it too! Really nice and friendly staff.
G. B.
Great food and lovely staff. Very central location and a great venue
R. S.
Bar staff had excellent knowlege of the local gins they had on offer. Tasty lattice fries with an almost chutney like dipping sauce. Delicious mushroom arancini balls. Tasty cold beer. Very happy with my time.
B. S.
Great food and drink selection. My GF loved the chance of being able to choose anything on the menu, as well as being able to have a pint of gluten free beer on tap.
C. S.
Simone, Eden and the rest of the team work hard to make guests feel comfortable. Also love the support they give to community groups like BMoA which make this pub their base
G. G.
Really pleasant pub. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
A few friends and I dined there and the food was very good.
Would recommend this to everyone.
M. L.
Classic pub interior (could maybe do with a bit of TLC). Friendly staff.
And the lunch special steak was served like a great home-cooked aussie classic: chips made on site, salad fresh and freshly dressed (not with some sweet bottled rubbish) but with something that matched the salad and meat and had interest and balance, the sauce was generous on flavour.
L. M.
Great meals in a fully gluten free setting! Private function rooms were fantastic!
C. L.
Solid, tasty, nicely done traditional pub meals. Very fresh, quickly served, friendly service. Attractive retro decor. Kids meals were great and a good size.
L. L.
Excellent GF menu, great service and lovely surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyed the GF waffles. Highly recommend a leisurely breakfast here.
N. H.
Delicious food! Love how it is very dog friendly. Pitty second bar was closed off, made that area a bit of a let down. Will be back 😘
C. G.
Great all GF menu. Excellent selection of drinks and friendly service. Definitely going back
A. J.
Great food, great price and generous serves. Lovely old pub!
A. C.
Fantastic atmosphere, great food and drinks. Easy parking also.
S. R.
This Pub is true quality. From my first walk in the atmosphere was relaxed. We then met Courtney and she was very informative and a real asset to the pub. This is what pubs should be and thank you Courtney i and my family and friends will surely return.
m. b.
The Duke of Brunswick caters for celiacs, vegeterians and vegans. All our meals were fresh, tasty and full of flavour and the staff were friendly and had great interaction with diners.
B. C.
Really great, honest and beautiful pub food (feels bad calling it that, it was amazing) - and particularly love the fact that it's an all gluten free menu!
D. L.
Tasty meals, good vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options but meals took over an hour to be served.
M. K.
One of the best pub meals I've had, and everything was gluten free so my Coeliac wife enjoyed it just as much as I did. Thanks so much, we'll be back for sure.
S. T.
This has become a regular favourite of my crowd, great for a quick meal before a show, or for a mid-week feed. It's about to undergo yet another change of ownership. Let's hope they keep the $12 steak nights and the Chef's pie special!
B. K.
Thank you so much for all the fantastic take away meals tonight and giving the wheat free, gluten free community somewhere safe to dine. Looking forward to our next meal already.
K. C.
I really enjoyed attending a party on Friday night at the DOB. The food was delicious and the staff were professional. My friend, who organised her party with the staff, was very pleased with the outcome.
B. P.
So lovely to go somewhere where my coeliac partner and I could have a stress free dining experience. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and the environment comfortable.

Want that Local Pub feel you see in the movies? Like the one where you go incase there's a zombie outbreak, and you just wanna grab a pint and wait for it to all blow over. This is the place.

G. M.
Excellent vibes and some really cool nooks! A good menu of gluten free food with very quick service.
T. M.
Great service, good variety of vegan options on the menu and amazing wine list
C. H.
Staff were helpful and Eden engaging. The food crash and well cooked. The drinks list is quite considered (for Adelaide) but lacks good representation of interstate signature wines. E.g. Hunter Semillon. Altogether a pleasant experience. I shall return. 😊
T. M.
Awesome meals and atmosphere, great for those with special dietary needs!
S. B. S.
Love the full gluten free menu, even my husband says you can't tell it's all gluten free! So great for everyone as all the food options are delicious.
J. M. (.
Beautiful venue and top tier bar staff and beer selection, unfortunately food brings it down a bit.
T. D.
Nice local pub, with a great garden out back. Looks recently refurbished but lacking some charm in the rooms ( I think they are still putting stuff on the walls so could be quite good) Only had a drink so can't comment on the food. No UBET.
F. B.
Bring a friend to make sure you can finish the Parmie.
P. S.
Great place for gluten free food and a great selection of drinks 👍
P. T.

M. C.
Great dinner. 11 of us all had lovely meals.
