Very impressed with this place. We came here for a work dinner and it was a fair walk from our hotel. The Team were very professional and helpful. They accommodated our requests to changes in the menu and very helpful with the drinks selection. The menu and the food we ordered (5 adults) was amazing! I was really impressed by the food and quantity. Highly recommended and I look forward to going back next time I am in Adelaide. Also if you like sports - they put the sport channel on for us.

We recently held a birthday party for our son in the Bar Cuba Room. At all times the function staff were brilliant to work with. Helpful and friendly - nothing was ever too much trouble. The room itself has a great ambience for a party. We didn't need to bring in any extra decorations and a great night was had by all of our guests. Moreover, the prices were incredibly reasonable and the packages very flexible. Highly recommended and thanks to Liberty to making it a great night.

We had a really nice corner table to sit at with couches. Had a family lunch here celebrating my birthday and it was fairly quiet too which was great. Garlic bread and the vegetable spring rolls were really tasty. Beef schnitzel was fairly tough to cut and hard to chew. I loved the sauce that came with the Haloumi but I wasn’t a fan of the way it was cooked-seemed like they’d been deep fried. Service was fairly fast.

Great, upstairs venue for a private party. Went there for a mates party. He organised an awesome band & seperate novelty casino. There is fully loaded bar with bar staff! We loved it.

Been here for a work lunch and after work drinks and it's a really great pub. Portions are a little small (I got three sausage rolls as a starter and have had 5 of the same size for the same price in other places), but I think they're going for the gastro pub-style offering. Taste is great and I can highly recommend the onion rings, fried chicken starter, sausage rolls and burgers. Nice outside area at the back for drinks after work.

Perfect steaks. We ordered 300g scotch fillet $40 & an 250g eye fillet $42. We asked for sweet potatoe fries instead of fries and they happily accommodated. The steaks were cooked to perfection! Jus was delicious, fries were perfect in texture (crispy exterior and mash potato like centre) even salad was well dressed. Def be back!

I've never seen so much salt and pepper squid stacked so high on a plate before! Great menu mixed between pub favourites, mains and weekly specials. Small beer garden and best of all, 2 for 1 meal deal out of the entertainment book!

Overall great pub that does it all (except live bands). Always a selection of good beers on tap although a bit on the expensive side outside of happy hour. Cheap pizzas throughout the week are hard to ignore. I came here on a Friday night once, the dance floor was pumping with after-work types from about 8pm onwards. Attached pizza + wine was $12.50 and took about 30-40 minutes to come out at peak time on a Monday night.

The union is a really nice pub. Their meals are on the larger size and they very good. I wish they had a steak under $30 but the do great chicken and porterhouse schnitzels for $25 so I can't really complain. Staff are always friendly and they have some nice beers on tap.

we had dinner in a very pleasant dining room attended by friendly staff from arrival to the time we left. Service was excellent being timely and courteous. Very tasty food, the Atlantic salmon being cooked and presented perfectly with crispy skin and a delicious citrus sauce on fresh green salad. The wife had chicken schnitzel with tasty crispy chips and salad after we had grilled haloumi with a tangy yoghurt sauce. Without doubt one of the best dining experiences I have had in a hotel for many of a meal. Well done to management and staff of the Union Hotel.Recommend food and service. Try and see for yourselves

We love the Union. The menu is excellent, we've been here for a very well cooked (as in, just how we liked it) steak, and also to just eat a heap of the starters amongst a few of us because it's all so good. The food is always delicious, fast and reasonably priced. It's a very comfortable place to dine, and talk, it has good atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommended heading here for dinner or drinks any day of the week. I was so into the food I forgot to take any photos!

I've eaten dinner here several times and the food is always excellent, whether it's pizza, a salad or something else off their menu. I was then recently dragged along by friends on a Friday night to go dancing. They told me it was their favourite place on a Friday night. I'm not a clubber so eventually agreed to pop in for half an hour only. I stayed much longer and had a blast with an 80s retro night, a fun, friendly crowd, and fast bar service. Loved it!

I would honestly give this place 5 stars if the duty manager was even slightly pleasant to customers. Can't seem to raise a smile or engage with anyone. I spent an hour just watching and it was quite extraordinary... Anyway, fantastic pub. Generally staff excellent, decent beers on tap, outstanding food every time. Seriously good pub food. I'm only scoring it down because of unfriendly customer attitude, and this comes from the top. To the hard working team on the front line who are customer friendly, thank you.

Been coming here for ages and will be coming here for ages more. I’ll bring my kids here when I have some if they keep up the pizza quality. $7 on a Monday for some of the best pizza I’ve had is beyond a good deal; it’s revolutionary. Worth it even when it’s not cheap night. Very laid back place. The low lighting gives off nice, comfy vibes and again, the prices are very, very good. Food can take it’s time coming to the table at busy times, but I personally think it’s worth it.

Very nice pub. Food is excellent and good selection of beer. However they need to enforce the physical distancing the of customers ordering drinks and food at the bar as it does not comply with a COVID safe plan. They need a Covid Marshall.

Pretty reasonable city pub. Menu is quite sophisticated for a pub and generally well executed. I had the gnocchi which was really nice and the duck spring rolls which were delicious. My partners pizza was slightly under done but the topping was good. A good range of craft beers and the specials and happy hour would make it a great place to go in the evenings.

Will easily recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal in the CBD. Booking was made online for lunch and confirmed with an employee 30 minutes before arriving. Came with a work party of 8 and all meals were delivered at the same time within about 15-20 minutes. Very reasonably priced and good indoor/outdoor settings. I will admit, it was quiet inside, but the staff took this as an opportunity to engage with us all in friendly conversation which was nice and welcoming

I went here for Xmas drinks after work. We had a meal and a few beers. The food was good. I tried a 600 gm T-bone and it was great. Others had schnitzel and the meals were a good size and very nice aswell. Beer on tap in tall long glasses was a hit with everyone. Could have stayed longer, but had to drive.

A hidden gem.... has a outdoor garden area as well as sitting out the front. Food reasonably priced presentation A1 and boosted with flavour. Extensive collection of drinks to choose from on and off tap. Great spot to meet after work or for a lunch even a lazy Sunday afternoon drink. Nice, convenient inner city hotel on Waymouth Street. We attended a work function in the "Bar Cuba" function room. Meals were very nice although serves were a little small. Also took a long time (about 25 minutes) to bring out all the main meals on our table. Drinks package was pretty good. Generally well organised by the friendly staff. Didn't see much of the rest of the hotel, but seemed popular.

Union Hotel has a larger variety of tab and bottled beers. Their chicken parmigiana and the pizzas are actually quite tasty for a pub food. I highly recommend going to this pub for after work drinks especially grabbing their pizzas during their happy hour, they are pretty cheap especially on a Monday. If you ever go here try their NYC pizza, you won't regret it.

Just around the corner from Rundell mall this hotel offers excellent entrees, cold beer and a comfortable place to relax with slightly upmarket decor. We didn't try the mains, plenty of choice here, the entrees were plentiful. The two of us shared onion rings and jalepino poppers, both tasty and definitely worth coming back for. Missed out on 5stars because there's no Victorian beer on tap or even in the fridge.

The best fake DJ you will ever see. The guy knows how to work the crowd.. This place is such a laugh, it’s fun and there is no pretentious people to be seen around here. If you want to be a drag for a night then this is your place.

The chef in this hotel definitely is one of the hidden gem! Creative Modern Australian dishes infused with mediterranean or asian styles. My hubby and I have been dinning in many times. The menu will change based on seasons. Reasonable price for foods and drinks. It is not a fancy restaurant but you will be happy for the foods here.

I went to a fringe show nearby & afterwards made my way to the Union hotel, probably about 9 pm. I like this hotel, I've never been on a Saturday night before & wanted to show my partner, but surprised at the lack of customers & lack of ambience. I would generally come during the week & partake in a pizza & a good after work crowd would provide a good atmosphere. The staff are generally good, there was music, food a bit pricey, but no cutomers. Perhaps I came too early or too late, perhaps it doesn't happen at this venue on a Saturday night. I suspect it's the after work crowd during the week that makes the difference, it is the CBD afterall with a plethora of office buildings on this street & close proximity. Give the weekend a miss, but I recommend you come during the week, the pizzas are not bad & reasonably priced. Cheers.
