Comments of Apollonian Hotel

This is a perfect combination of small town pub, great food and an awesome holiday place. The food is great. Especially when the BBQ is fired up. Friendly staff and quick delivery of your meal caps the experience. Well worth the trip for a day visit or longer stay.

We just had our family Christmas party here and we all had the best time. The food was lovely and affordable. The outdoor bush kitchen/smoke house was such a special touch. Beautiful old pub full of character. The grounds were perfect for the families with plenty of space for the kids to run around and explore, room for frisbee and ball games. Beautiful shady fig trees. A jumping castle and face painting!!! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Sometimes you happen to stumble upon somewhere and you asked yourself "why haven't I been or even heard about this place before?" This hotel is a real gem. Put some petrol in your tank and rip up the M1 and you'll definitely get a get lunch, served by terrific staff in a historic pub which is worth the trip on its own.
A. E.
Beautiful food in a beautiful setting!! Friendly and accommodating staff. Something for everyone here! Open mic night on Friday night is always fun and Sunday lunches with all the kids running around on the lawn are a hit. Bonus you get to bring your dog to the pub 😍
S. J.
Lovely drinking hole for families, within walking distance from the camping grounds. Rustic charm. Kids can play on the expansive lawn. Shady seating. Dogs welcome. A lovely staff member even brought the dogs water. Great afternoon.
A. L.
If you like a peaceful country atmosphere this is the place to go.
Plenty in and out door seating, good old fashion pub.
The food was very good and a generous serving, I had flathead and chips.
It definitely fresh and locally caught.
Great experience, well worth the drive.
J. L.
A 10 minute car ride from Tewantin out to Boreen Point. Lovely restored hotel coach house in garden setting. Food was fresh and delicious. Good if you have dogs or children..lots of space to run free! Also weekends spit roasts cranked up in outdoor dining space..we were glad we found this little treasure
G. C.
Lovely historic pub with lots of space to enjoy an ale or three.
Standard pub food.
Staff could be a little more welcoming
L. J.
A glorious place. Great old pub, set in lovely lawns. Staff friendly and efficient. We have had the smoke house roasts and the other pub meals. Both very good. Lovely atmosphere with families, bikies, oldies like us. We have been three times on weekends and have been very fortunate with good weather so very nice to sit outside.
R. W.
Best pub we have been to in a while, a little off the beaten track but well worth the drive. A good range of food to choose from on the menu, nice cold beers. Shady trees to sit under and a lovely herb and vegetable garden out the back. Friendly staff
D. C.
Absolutely love this historic pub set in beautiful surrounds. Awesome staff, excellent food and dog friendly 🌟
J. R.
Awesome food; lovely pub; well worth coming here for a meal. Outside shady verandahs and sitting areas. Great customer service; make you feel welcome.

Just visited this beautiful old pub for a couple of beers and a meal. Staff were so friendly and our curry meal was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended
J. H.
Omg the T-bone was to die for, expensive but worth it if you want a yummy piece of meat cooked to perfection.
I had lasagne the beef variety it was absolutely delicious.
Second night we shared duck spring rolls and roast of the day 😋 which wasn't really what we expected it was a piece of pork belly the bottom was a little dry but the rest delicious
The hospitality was amazing, the vibe fun and relaxing, we took our old dog along in a little cart and she was welcomed. We didn't realise that the pub has accommodation available just 100 metres down the street.
Oh and the caravan park is a 500 metre walk, yippee yahoo
Thanks to everyone at the pub for a lovely time we appreciated 😀 everything love from Judy and Nev

It was a great day out at The Apollonian Hotel. There was a great display of Ferraris on their lawn & a selection of 3 wheeled motorbikes. A great source of entertainment to the patrons.
We selected lunch from The Smoke House - the meat was tender, salad bit of a mish mash, potato was not cooked, could not cut it with my wooden knife. I would select from the main menu the next time.
J. O.
Wonderful country pub atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and shady parking spots. A family favourite.
S. N.
Beautiful Hotel. Lots of history. Great menu. Very friendly staff. A must visit!!!
R.
Great pub, live music and family friendly. Amazing for sitting back on a Sunday afternoon having a couple of drinks with friends or family.
H. J.
I had the best birthday at The Appolonian Hotel. Such beautiful country hospitality, they even gave me a free drink. The music was great, the food was awesome. The owners are so friendly. I can't recommend this pub enough and can't wait to go back
J. B.
We stumbled upon the historical old Hotel recently when on a day drive visiting Boreen Point. Top spot to while away an hour or two and enjoy some decent pub grub and a nice cold one. Staff were very friendly & hospitality was excellent. The old pub had a good crowd lunching there for a Tuesday mostly Grey Nomads like ourselves. I suspect it gets pretty busy on weekends & school holiday season. Great Biker stop for the motorcycle enthusiasts.
M. S.
Good food, good beer, good setting. Can't ask for anything more in a pub
J. H.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNY FOREST AND ALL THE BEST MATE !!50 !!
Great to see the Appo back in good hands again 🍻🙂 Cheers. Johno 👍
A. D.
Was there 2 weeks ago to celebrate my daughters birthday.
Was looking forward to the spit roast they use to do, but unfortunately was not up to the standard it use to be.
You use to get a lot on your plate including fresh hot damper for less than what is being charged today.
We spent all our holidays at Boreen when the kids were young and you could smell the spit cooking from all over Boreen.
I only hope that it is COVID that has stopped this long time tradition. If not then I'm not sure we will be back.
M. G.
Love this place. Food is good, beer is cold, staff are friendly and the hotel is beautiful.
k. w.
Lovely environment, great feeds, nice cold beer..
Does discriminate though does ask for proof.
L. F.
Great pub on a Saturday afternoon.
Soak up the rockabilly atmosphere. Plenty of vintage motors to entertain. Staff are awesome. Choices of foods and beverages to suit all. Recommend a visit at least once to enjoy the sights and sounds of this classic beauty.
D. S.
Great place, full of character, food excellent, a must go if you are that way
L.
Nice staff. Nice location and outdoor seated area. Good food

Lunch today was at a wonderful old pub. Festival atmosphere live music cold beers smoke house bbq meats.
This old pub has so much history to it and the story of how it was transport to this gorgeous spot is worth googling.
The grounds are lush and families and their dogs were all here enjoying the space. Sunday Arvos are very popular with locals and tourists and can get quite busy but they are set up to cope with that with plenty of different spaces with tables and chairs on the wide verandas, in the beer garden or on the lawns under gazebos. There are two bars and the smoke house you could order pub meals from the kitchen (all the old favs) or order smokehouse bbq which is what we opted for. You just went up and paid and your meal was dished up on trays all disposable and eco friendly. John went with the beef brisket and the pork with baked pot and salad. I had the fully loaded baked potato with the lot. Both meals were tasty and fresh. Such a great atmosphere so relaxing would recommend it was a fun experience
G. H.
The nicest place big spit on Sundays heaps off harleys and hotrods best food great friendly staff
M. J. (.
Thanks so much for the Steak Burger, just perfect. There are heaps of tables & chairs to enjoy your time here. Parking out to the side of the hotel and on the street I’m sure you will find one. Such a great old pub that has a lot of history, and there are some old photos..ect inside to have a look at. There is quite a bit on the menu, maybe next time I will have the homemade pie. Thanks again, such a great place😀
B. t. T.
Great venue, relaxed and dog friendly. Great place to catch up with family and friends.
As you drive into the venue you, you feel a sense of country with a large open grassed area with ample amount of seating areas that wraps around the hotel for all to play or lay a picnic mat and enjoy the good vibes that Apollonian hotel has to offer. Definitely worth visiting if you are near the area!
G. R.
First time there it was a great rural pub great outlook, ,staff were terrific and friendly, it'll be one place l would go back to again, thanks for a nice lunch
g. e.
Great atmosphere. The smoked BBQ all in meal gave a very small potato and the smoked meats ended up being too heavily smoked. It was still repeating late that night. Great place to soak in the history on the walls.
K. N.
Fantastic old school Australian pub, family friendly, cold beer and good food. We were lucky enough to go on the weekend when the smokehouse was in operation serving slow cooked meats on top of the normal menu. A must visit on the Sunshine Coast.
S. S.
Had a wonderful time there today.
12 friends, 3 dogs, great food and drinks.
Fantastic old building and lovely grounds.
Thank you to new management
A. B.
Super friendly staff, great outdoor space, good food and drink
E. M.
What a great pub ill be sure to come back again on my motorbike. Came here with me 2 boys and theyloved it. There was a delicious smoke house where you can order from alternatively the pub menu is still on offer. Vegan options as well. I was able to order a meal no worries off the menu to cater for my eating restrictions 😁. Grassed area for the children to run around and a big tree to climb also the rains came down hard and staff were amazing assisting the punters to inside seating with ease and smiles the whole time👍

I love a pub with friendly bar staff and tasty food. We went mid week, signed in and easily found a comfy chair in the shade of the ample Verandah.
A few hours, dinner and a couple of bevies later we were on our way. A very relaxing afternoon.

If you are in Noosa you must visit the Appolonian Hotel in Boreen Point. The pub was moved down from Gympie and became the heart of the community. Then there was a change of ownership which didn't go so well, with bad reviews, so the family who had brought it to Boreen Point took over again a few months ago. It picked up immediately and now is getting consistently high reviews. It is back to its former glory! The current manager is the son of the man who moved the pub from Gympie to Boreen Point 25 minutes from Noosa. It is a meeting place for locals (who welcome visitors) and a day out for people from Noosa. Kids are welcome and are seen rolling down the front lawn at just the right angle, with peels of laughter all the way down. We all love the pub and welcome visitors.
N. A.
Super friendly voice on the phone when we called earlier today to try and book a reservation. Brilliant bloke at the bar offering fantastic and well suited recommendations tonight (Dark and Stormy). Went back for another. Partner stoked on the local craft beers on tap. The chef behind the buffalo chicken wings and the beef brisket should be given a medal! If the location and environment was not enough, the service from these guys is well worth the visit! Very impressed and will recommend to anyone who will stand still long enough to listen! Exactly what a rural historic pub should be!
P. G.
What a surprise. Even better an ice cold pint of Guinness.
Oldest pub in QLD. Only stopped for a drink but the food looked good. Will try next time.
J. D.
What great old fashion pub with great atmosphere, music and good food.
S. W.
Went for a family lunch. No bookings taken you just turn up. Staff were lovely but their covid19 plan was woeful. No seating plans it was a free for all and people just sat anywhere and no controlled social distancing. Food was average but reasonably priced. Beautiful setting. Wouldn't travel that far again for an average experience.
M. K.
The food wasn't particularly nice, but the staff were lovely and it's a nice area. I have been told from friends that the food is usually great though so we might have been there on an off day.
T. B.
Super friendly staff and great steak. Amazing for families.
a. m.
Went for a drive to Boreen Point and had lunch at The Apollonian Hotel. The best Nachos I've had in years, accompanied by Land and Sea beer. Friendly staff. Thankyou for a great lunch!
J. P.
Fantastic meals. Service excellent
D. M.
Good old style pub with friendly country feel and services.
D. K.
Great country pub. Very family friendly. Good food. Good value. Great service. Huge outdoor area/beer garden.
P. R.
What an amazing old hotel. Unfortunately, due to covid19 restrictions meals were only on weekends so we had some drinks instead. The place has a fabulous past history. The bar staff were lovely. Will be back for a meal soon.
T. S.
I went to a function which involved many dogs of all sizes. It was extremely well handled and the food was very good and very quick.
S. E.
Awesome place great food beautiful staff nice relaxing place to visit.
P. C.
Great pub atmosphere. Very relaxing. Staff friendly and informative. Customer service excellent. Prices and food good pub value. Excellent spot for families. Will be back with the grandkids.
s. b.
Loved it. Laid back, live music. Food was good, really good. Large lawns where you can take your food and sit. Great if you have kids.
Worth a visit if you in the vicinity.
P. W.
Great little spot on a sunny Sunday. Family friends lawn for kids to play on tasty food and a reasonable selection of beers but no cider on tap.
M. v. d. H.
Tried it for the first time and was very surprised at how good the food and atmosphere was!
There are so many nice meals to pick from - the quality is amazing.
Nice cold beers.
Clean toilets.
Not too noisy.
Comfortable seating.
Staff were friendly and explained everything well.
Pricing was good - family friendly - suit big groups.
Ambience was great.
Parking was close by - only a few meters away.
We had a great time 👍👏
Would we come back? Definitely!!!!
A. C.
Beautiful old historic pub in tranquil setting. Which gets it across the line. Service, food and drinks not bad but not great and relatively overpriced
G. K.

Great service. Good food. Set in a historic Bar with garden surrounds.
Friendly staff. Lots of tables and seating.
A.
Old style, quaint. Staff and patrons friendly. Plenty of space for kids to play on the grass. Chickens roaming around. Second time we've been there and loved it. Haven't tried the food yet, when I do I'll let you know.
M. L.
This place has seriously good food and is not that it expensive. It has a nice outdoor section you can sit with dogs and it is not really noisy. The staff are also really nice and friendly. Would recommend if in the area
W. E.
This unassuming notice belies the fact that here in the middle of nowhere is one of the most charming pubs in south east Queensland.
D. C.
Loved this hotel! Laid back, friendly atmosphere, great food, live music and dog friendly! One of the nicest nights we've had on our travels.
J. C.
I have been waiting to head here for a while and it did not disappoint. When we walked up to the bar the staff were so happy and very helpful. The roast was huge, beer was cold and cheap and the singer was great.
C. B.
Lovely old PUB with a great atmosphere. Service was lacking though with plates left on tables etc. The Beer prices are over the top expensive. As much as I liked the PUB I will not be bringing my family back as I don't like being over charged for a simple beer and poor clean up service.
S. S.
We thought it was just great....for the money $$.....a lovely stop over....the room was clean and the bed comfy.
J. S.
Go there, drink beer and enjoy the rustic feel and amazingly relaxing natural atmosphere. If I imagine the perfect country pub for beers, pub food, with nature at your door this is it!
S. L.
This a great spot for some country style hospitality and a Sunday spit roast lunch. We thought the pork was delicious (although the serving size was a little light on) and you could help yourself to a selection of 3 salads, gravy and apple sauce. It wasn't the best value meal we've ever had - but the pub and grounds were lovely and the staff friendly.
J. M.
So friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Meals were average pub standard at reasonable prices.
C. G.
Great Food, freindly staff and an amazing atmosphere. A place you can't drive by with out a feed and a cold one. (The building is over 100 years old, relocated from Gympie)
g. p.
Don't get pubs like that any more all about porkies not just talking to a stranger and having a chat
b. k.
Hotel was excellent and food good. Wouldn't recommend accommodation in the summer. No air-conditioning and rooms were too hot to stay in during day. Slept with door open of a night to keep cool.
D. B.
Lovely old pub. Drinks are reasonably priced and cold. Kids had a lovely time roaming around the grasses area even played basketball and looked at the chicken . Publican took some photos for me. Handy for beverages if you are staying in the campground.
T. B.
The best pub I've ever been 2 and I've been to plenty
f. 1.
Great atmosphere, great food from the smoke house, perfect setting. Definitely will be back.
S. S.
Good music, expensive meals Dog Friendly and water provided for them
A. B.
Privately owned 1869 pub moved there and renovated. Great place to take kids for lunch. Big grassy area for them. Music Friday nights and Sundays, but check first. Pig on a spit Sundays. Worth a visit for beer and lunch.
T. T.
Absolutely top pub. Love the bluegrass night. Such friendly vibes, great drinks and good food.
D. B.
Loved it great atmosphere great food
K. K.
beer was cold and fresh. staff were all friendly and the building was great to look around. the spit roast was value for money with generous servings including very fresh and tasty salads. well worth it.
H.
The atmosphere was lovely but the food was terribly overpriced for the quality. I expect far better when paying $20+ for a meal (excluding drinks). I'd also expect table service for what they're charging. Feels like you're mostly paying for the location.
L. V.
We found this place by accident, we had a quite country drive upto Kin Kin and decided to explore the area. Its a lively country pub, it had music and a spit (Sunday lunch) spit was delicious.
T. G.
Sunday lunch is the only time worth visiting (spit roast and live music). Book in advance for a table, or bring a picnic rug! Hope it doesn't rain. Outside of these times it's a standard no frills pub. Wish they had some half decent beers on tap.
V. S.
Brilliant place to eat,sit in the sun enjoy with a vino
C. C.
Sunday roast lunch hasn't changed in decades, nor should it ever! A delicious spit roasted pig served with fresh salads and even good old Aussie damper. Great option to take visitors from out of town. Definitely recommend booking if more than 6 people.
B. S.
Meals were very nice. Had the Haloumi and Zucchini fritters entire and the chicken parmi main. Both meals were delicious and great value for money. The chickens roaming were good entertainment for the kids 😁🐔 ... and adults. Very happy to.support local car clubs and allowed us to drive up and park on the grass for a great photo opportunity in front of the beautiful establishment.
S. B.
What a great place, live music, great food. A real gem.👍👏
V. B.
We love this amazing family friendly historical place, amazing food from kitchens and the smoker / spit... Just lovely to have a drink and hang out in the front lawn.
M. O.
4 craft beers on tap. Interesting, (lambs brain, yum) affordable menu. Great staff. Great ambience. Visit.
P. M.

This place has a real atmosphere that you can't help but enjoy.
J. W.
Beautiful lunch under the fig tree. Delicious food and friendly staff. We will be back!
G. M.
A great 19th century tin roof pub with a spit roast Sunday. Heaps of space for kids and pets, it's not fancy it's old school cool. Great value for money.
T. M.
Love this place. The food is great, beer is cold, staff are happy and helpful .... We will be back
10 out of 10 for the Apollonian Hotel
G. S.
Michelle & I went here last Friday for lunch, to celebrate our birthday. We both had the steak and vegies, which was cooked beautifully, surprised that it had at least 5 (very fresh) different vegies. Full after that; but having seen the white chocolate cheesecake when ordering mains we had to indulge, (sooo yummy) with a cappuccino. Time just sped by, as the atmosphere and setting was very relaxing. Needless to say, we didn't need dinner that night. Thank You, to everyone who made our birthday memorable.
b. P.
What a spectaculer hotel for a function or just for a visit. My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding here. The food was so delicious and the staff we just the best. Definitely a place to stop for the spit roast on sundays or just for a drink with the friendly locals.
C. W.
My workplace had our EOFY event at the Apollonian Hotel and it was so much fun! They were able to easily cater for 40 people, with our meals all coming out at the same time. We had the burgers, which were delicious, and they were able to easily cater for dietary requirements.
We were very well looked after by the staff and Danielle, who was very organised and she did a great job of making sure we were all happy. She reserved the outside area for us to eat and also lit the fire so we would be warm. The hospitality from the staff was outstanding which played a huge part in the experience and fun we had.
Not only was the day of the event a lot of fun, thanks to the staff at Apollonian, but leading up to the event Danielle made organising the event very easy. She would reply to my emails promptly and was very accomodating to our needs. On the day she made sure everything ran to schedule, which it did.
Leading up to the event and the day of all went smoothly which made our EOFY event very memorable.
G. C.
The place has such great ambience and history The staff are great and the food just fine what more could you want.
H. M.
Magnificent old pub, lots of great places to sit and enjoy surrounds food and drink. Blown away when I saw motorbike ride out thru front doors, but was then told chooks sleep on lounges and one chook lays an egg on lounge each morning!
M. J.
Great staff. Friendly atmosphere.
Grand old pub with a lot of history.
L. M.
Good meals all round. The pies are really hearty. We are outside in the fresh air, enjoying the breeze. $$

Great historical pub.
P. B.
Lovely pub - great atmosphere and enjoyed some fab local beers!
B. J.
Typical Aussie pub puts on a great Sunday 'pig-on-a-spit' roast! Off the well-beaten track, a leisurely stroll on the banks of Lake Cootharaba after lunch to walk off those extra calories.
T. L.
Great food and lovely area
I. C.
Awesome old school homestead turned pub...with it's iconic Spit Roast Sundays, great beer gardens, lush surroundings and isolated location it is a very nice way to while away an afternoon.

Amazing location ambience& history here. Lovely food. An experience from yesteryear . Don't miss this if you come to Noosaville or Boreen Point. Worth the drive!

You have to love the atmosphere! Food is good, service prompt. But the last visit they were out of their specialty: brains!
J. L.
Great local pub. Busy with the roast lunch on Sundays, but lovely and relaxing the rest of the week. Excellent food.
R. H.
Nice location and food in general. No poached egg on my salad even when the chef said he would bring it out soon. Not a big deal just poor service.
L. B.
Awesome place! Amazing atmosphere , definitely recommend stopping in for a bev and Something to eat!!!
r.

Had dinner here friday night..meal was good but a bit overpriced for a pub they ran out of vegies at 6.30pm....hardly any stafff...was a great duo playing there played for 3 hrs but i then heard the were trailing them ...so they didnt get paid...no drinks and they were young so only drinking softdrinks...no meal had to pay that themselves...so in my book the got free entertainment for the night and it doesnt encourage young ones to share live music...
