Really relaxed vibe! Really nice and helpful staff. Went for dinner with a friend on a whim. I ordered the pork collar steak and they ordered the salmon. Both were very well priced and delicious! They had $10 dark and stormy's as a special cocktail. The atmosphere was amazing with several different themes rooms around the bar. We were lucky enough to get a tour around the venue and got to see the live music part of the pub. It would be a fantastic place to see a gig. They have a shuttle service for up to 10km from the venue so it is very handy for locals. It's a shame that it was so quite there because it really is a fantastic venue. Very kid friendly too. I will definitely be visiting again the next time in up in the area

Today was my first visit to the Banana Bender Pub and I loved it. Great vibe, awesome Aussie decor, tastefully furnished yet casual and comfortable. Friendly staff, the menu was ample and the food was delicious. Although busy the food didnt take long to arrive and all our meals were well presented. Our group agreed we would return!

This place is a paradise. The inside of the pub is just so amazingly interesting and spacious - it has a special place in my childhood. The staff here give the most professional service of any pub I’ve been to and deserve accolades. The food was pub grub you cannot fault. The rough cut skin-on fries were sooo good, crunchy and soft at the same time and just bloody excellent. My parmy was as good as any I’ve had with the Schnit being the star of the show and the tomato, ham and cheese being the support acts, just how I like it. I attended with two pretty fussy eaters and they LOVED their food. The fattoush salad was over the top excellent and covered in sumac - very authentic! Price wise the drinks are average price but look what ya get and how they serve it! Also the food is average pub prices but look at the location and what you get! Overall it’s a bargain gain - no question. I should mention, the views from the dining room are unique and breathtaking. Definitely stop here for lunch. A wonderland of fun for kids if you go out the back. I bloody love this place so much. Twelve stars out of five (12/5)!!!!!

Colourful, fun and fresh. Proportions were great and they were fast with the food. Lamington eating contest and toad races were funny too. Downside is that they are really close to the freely which kind of ruined the view, but the pub more than made up for it with amazing decor and colour.

It was ok, but I won't be rushing back. The staff were friendly and courteous. However, when I asked what the seasonal vegetables were, due to allergy reasons. The lady at the food register was unable to answer, and didn't bother to find out. The food portion sizes are relevant to the cost of the food. I would class this place as moderately expensive. $36.95 for a chicken parmy, plain gravy and a can of soft drink.

Stopped for lunch. Food was OK the team up in restaurant seemed like we interrupted them from having a chat behind the bar. Also they were pushy. Having a beer at bottom bar the barmaids service was fantastic very nice lady.

Such a quirky place to spend time with the grandkids. Food was average i guess, the service was great , they went the extra mile when my grand daughter wanted cheese and tomatoe pizza which was not on the menu and made one for her , the cheesy garlic bread was a hit with everyone. Very friendly staff. Great service although we were a group in a upstairs eatery with only a small number of customers. The general bar and out door Areas had a large crowd. Plenty of room left regardless. Usual bar pricing and the meals were generous and we'll prepared, but reasonably priced. Would willing take large family group to this business.

I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest, but was pleasantly surprised. The quirkiness within was awesome and I really enjoyed the atmosphere created. Clean, bright and refreshing from the norm. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Food was presented beautifully, tasted great and portion sizes on the larger side without being ridiculous. Would definately visit again 😁

Kid friendly fun colourful atmosphere, very tasty large variety of meals, friendly service, plenty of parking and ice cold beer or wine. What more do you need.... We have been here quite a few times over the years and it has been consistently great. Stop in for dinner on the way home from a day trip or weekend away up the sunny coast or plan to stop in for lunch before your 2 pm check in on the way up... Don't just keep driving past wondering why or should we? Stop in and check it out you won't be disappointed.

Whenever we drove past this place it always appeared popular and we felt we should go. It did not let us down. Love the decor, big enough to feel the space even if a bit crowded. Faster service than anticipated and loved the friendliness of the staff. Looking for a quirky stop when heading up north of Brisbane, then give this place a visit.

Very 'busy' on the walls, roof and staff uniforms. Not a wheelchair friendly place. Food nice. Friendly staff. Reminds me going to the Big Pineapple in the early 80s. I couldn't take my ASD children here unfortunately.

This was the 1st time myself and my partner Wendy have visited this great pub. The food was magnificent. I had the Queenslander and Wendy had the Carbonata. The mango brushetta was delicious. First time visit. The Banana Bender definitely has a unique theme, one that I've never seen before, which is interesting to explore. The service provided by staff was great. We did go for lunch, and expected to wait for food as it was busy. That being said, we certainly didn't expect to wait over an hour - tough with two little kids. Additionally, when food was served, all the meals came out in one hit, except for two, which were another 10min behind. It may have been just one of those days. Food was okay, and each meal was generous. Would go back if in the area.

On such a huge complex thought their would be more staff on being so busy. Saturday 14.8.21. Thank you to all the staff as you all did a fantastic job being so busy. Wow what a great place! Absolutely stunning place to stop, cater for those that require a ramp opposed to stairs. There is a lift inside for those to eat on the restaurant menu. The staff Jessie & Cameron, and manager Sharni were just so accommodating not just to our party, but others that had arrived with a large party. It was nothing for these lovely ladies to put together a large table for a larger group that arrived, taking photos for tourists that were only stopping by for a photo op. Nothing was too hard for these ladies, which is such a huge difference to other places I've been to recently. Also, I'm sure with all the smiles these girls showed the public, they must go home smiling. Such wonderful welcoming staff, which is a credit to the place. Thanks for an enjoyable lunch. Lunch options were abundant, and include a children's menu, a seniors menu too, such great sizes, affordable and very delicious. Walked out with a full party in my belly, a smile on my face, and a feeling of a great experience. Thanks to Sharni (manager), and Cameron on the bars and Jessie waitressing for making our day & being so accommodating!!

This Queensland icon has been remarkably renovated and offers a relaxed atmosphere to share with friends and family. The menu has many options including vegetarian and GF. The stand out is the service. If you haven't been it is worth the visit. It was great start for our mini break. Will be back.

We rocked up last night at around 8.20pm without booking and a party of 15. After initial shock as the kitchen was about to close, the staff rallied around, the chef agreed to cook for us, and we were looked after. The meals were amazing.we Thanks to all tje wonderful people at the Banana bender

Was ok, eat upstairs for restaurant food. Downstairs is pub food, nachos, chicken wings, chips and pork sliders etc. There was confusion over our order, the nachos were cold and the chicken wings would have been bland without the sauce. Overall a cool looking pub, I'd definitely go again but I'd eat upstairs in the proper restaurant area.

With oodles of parking and excellent decor, the Banana Bender Pub is a brilliant venue for a gathering or a quiet meal for two. Well-priced and heaps of variety in the menu - including a Seniors' Menu - the staff are a breath of fresh air with loads of character and fun in their eyes. Although very busy, which is to be expected over the holidays, staff were friendly and accommodating. Had fish of the day (snapper), cooked perfectly, was delicious, table of 5 all happy except 1 who thought his pizza was over cooked. Had fun looking around and enjoyed a lovely glass of wine. I wish we get pubs like this in Victoria. Went there today and my partner and myself were just gobsmacked with the uniqueness of the pub. I had so much character with so many quirky things in it. The service from the staff was excellent on the night. Attentive, friendly and let us know up-front that they were fully booked so it may be a little busy. Our meals were as ordered, steaks were medium, pasta was cooked well. Good pub food! Cost and quality is comparable to other pubs on the Coast, and we received our meals in under 30 mins even though it was busy. I would recommend putting burgers on the dinner time menu as our older children were looking to order a burger. Five stars for the service team!

I hadn't seen this place since it was. Transformed from the old Ettimogah. I really like it now and it was perfect for a largish multiple family celebration. It has a great atmosphere,. Not sure how to name it. But a bit Australiana, a bit modern. It's very spacious and inviting. Staff were really helpful (kids, cake, spilled drink, food etc.). I found a tasty gluten free meal. While food is average (as pubs tend to be) for the price it was fine and everyone enjoyed the meal. I'll be back!

Great stop for lunch on the Sunshine Coast. The food was fresh and yum. Between us we had the Vege Stack, Portobello Mushrooms, Steak Burger and kids meals were pizza and chicken/chips. The 2 kids meals fed 4 kids, generous size pizza and lots of big thick chips with chicken. Fun things ymto see and so many levels to eat on. Downstairs is being renovated at the moment and has pool table.

This is a very cool place, full of awesome knick knacks. Our five year old had lots of fun going upstairs and downstairs exploring all the different sections. The food was decent, the cocktails were awesome and very well priced.

Had a fantastic steak sandwich in a great atmosphere. The pub is beach themed with bright colours.

We ordered the Cheese & Bacon Burger. It was Angus beef top with pickles, mustard and aioli. The burger was incredible and is both salty, spicy and sweet as the bun was glazed. That real American style comfort food, I would imagine some could find it a little rich in flavour but balanced well with perfectly cooked chips. The venue is recently upgraded and renovated and creatively but strangled fit out with unique pictures and paintings as shown in my images. I struggle to fault a thing about our experience. It was $52 for 2 burgers + chips & three juices / soft drinks.

The banana. Bender pub is brilliant but the meals and table service very disappointing three meals on our table were sent back and the waiters blamed it on.because they were so busy when you order a grilled sea food platter and the king prawns are like a shrimp the calamari is like rubber the Barra was like a grass whiting fillet and the scollops were the size of a 20 cent piece and finally when l got my chips they were cold and there not cheap meals very disappointing

My old bosses had a reunion with some of the people that worked for them at Banana Bender pub 26th July it was just such a awesome day the pub was packed they put on song and dance show if you want to have a great day out I tell you that place was awesome thanks .

Fun quirky hotel, lots to look at, has a great atmosphere. Exceptional, attentive service by all but a special shout out to Darlene, who is at the top of her game when it comes to customer service. Well done!

Had lunch there yesterday, nice pub food, good prices and pleasant staff. Nothing too much trouble. But I want to talk about the architecture and decor - we LOVED it. It's a strike back at the Melbourne upmarketism pervading our coast. It's true, gaudy Queensland, as anybody who's stepped off the coast, and headed West, will know. I think the garish colours might clash with some people's perceived ideas of how the Coast should be, but at the moment it's my FAVOURITE architecture/decor on the Coast. Well done, you were brave and it paid off, in my opinion. Highly recommend.

Great place for lunch. We were upstairs on the verandah and it was very comfortable with cooling fans and beautiful breezes. I had the lemon mertle chicken which was juicy and tender as described. Hubby had a Queenslander schznitzel and vegetables which was huge but very tasty. The wine selection was good also. The wait staff were happy and friendly. Lovely experience all round. Will recommend to others and will return.

We have been to Banana bender pub a few times and everytime we have enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff are accommodating and are very welcoming, and a shout out to Elliot who waited on us and made us feel relaxed with her great customer service. Such a beautiful decor, nice staff, but is only catering for tourists. I had a visitor form Melbourne, wanting fresh local produce, who paid for the fish of the day, which was overcooked. I had the chicken Queenslander, which was dry. We ordered a side of prawns, which was forgotten, only to arrive 7minutes later, 3 small prawns on a skewer. I noticed a lot of elderly people there, but, no Seniors Menu, even though they climbed the stairs for the view of the roadworks. Overall, I think you need to cater for the locals which would be proud to take their guests to your hotel, not just for one visit, but everytime. My friend asked "Why would anyone stop here, when they are so close to the Sunshine Coast ?" I had no answer, only because it's new.
