Such a great place with Live Music even mid-week, we saw 'Bridget & The Queen St Cowboys' on a Thurs night from 9pm to 12, they were brilliant. The booths are super comfy and the Cocktails are delicious made strong ! Now one of my favourite places to go ❤

Great little bar. It's good thats in a little side street which I think adds a bit of atmosphere to it. The staff there were great. (Had to apologise for friends rowdy behaviour but they were good sports).

One of the best live venues left in Brisbane. Always get great quality bands, great atmosphere and fantastic drinks lineup, I also love you have Blue Ribbon on tap. I wish the location was larger but feel it would lose its appeal if it was. Keep up the amazing work

45 minutes waiting at 9pm on Saturday - well worth it when I entered Brooklyn Standard for the first time. Considering that the place had covid controls in place, the venue had limited numbers of seating and hence the wait. Once inside, the atmosphere was very welcoming, vibrant with music and the best thing I liked about was the crowd which varied from 20's to 50s. The staff were friendly and helpful. The band playing music was putting in 110% efforts to please the crowd and it was working. A good range of drink and the prices are the regular, nothing pricey. The place had a mix of an industrial and cosy feel which was amazing. The band played songs ranging from 80's to the latest from last week. I wish the place was more bigger so that people wouldnt have to wait to get in but I think it would still get full! This place bops till 3 am on weekends so a great place to hang out with friends for some drinks and catching some live music. Highly recommended.

Great little bar, good live music nice vibes generally. Highly recommend. Would give a 5th star but zero concessions available for anyone gluten intolerant. We're happy to let me bring in my own food if I wanted which was better than nothing. Would be nice to have some gluten free beers behind the bar at least.

What a great place for a get together with various styles of live music. The night we visited most recently there was a fabulous young female guitarist with a great voice who was totally in tune with the audience. She played requests and had everyone watching and dancing. It's good to have a venue where people can have a dance. We found this place to be of a great standard without being pretentious. There were groups and couples of all styles and persuasions there. Seems like a place where people come after a meal somewhere or meet up with friends. There was also some couples sitting at the bar tables and stools. The lighting is low and the theme of the place is obviously American. Lots of framed posters on the walls and timber staircase going downstairs from the street level. Remember you have to choose to go here .. you won't just stumble by it as it is down a small laneway. .Well worth it.

OMG what a top little underground bar we stumble upon. Had a cranking live band, and even better the clientele were a similar age, which strangely kind of made us feel younger again! Loved it!

Get in early and you can have a booth and a drink and still talk to a friend and be heard. As the night settles in tho you will struggle to be hard over the loud music. One double shot of Jack and coke will set you back a $20. But all in all its a nich little venue with a moody atmosphere which is quite enjoyable.

What an awesome venue!!! Had a great time, waited a while in line, but was well worth it. We came in tonight and the music was on point, the vibe was so high energy, even without dancing it didn't make a difference. More than anything though, the bartender that served me was amazing (the girl with orange hair and tartan face mask), the most attention to detail I've ever seen in a bar. Went above and beyond to prepare our drinks and they were delicious. One of the best Negronis I've had! Really excited to come back another time, thanks Brooklyn Standard!

Knowledgeable bartenders who don't mind making you a drink just the way you like it and good customer service. The place is a cozy size and good for a casual drink with friends on a weekday. I imagine this place being way too crowded for weekends. They do have a better and reasonably priced liquor collection as compared to their beers. Would most definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Awesome music, HOWEVER realised checking my account balance in the morning every time I ordered the same drink every time I ordered the price varied every time... Same thing happened to several of my friends that night. I would be cautious and recommend asking for drink prices and looking at the price on the eftpos machine in case staff are adding on a tip for themselves without your permission like they did for us. I would go again but this time I am much the wiser

Lovely atmosphere!!! If you are after an old school, American style. You should come here for a night out. They have live music on Thursday night, starting from 9pm. Food is not bad either. Great atmosphere both young and mature people were there. The band last week was ok except the sound system was bad. The bands tonight were ok a bit more rockabilly and Americana again the sound system was pretty ordinary. Love the style tonight but the choice of songs was ordinary. Heard a really bad version of "sorrow" (David Bowie) tonight. He would have rolled in his grave. Dance floor is medium small and it's not really for dancing more for people to stand and gawk at the band with their drinks in their hand. You have to elbow in there unto the dance floor and hold your spot because it's pretty much shoulder to shoulder after 9pm. It is possible to dance there. You just gotta do it in the very spot your occupying. Good venue. Interesting genre of bands. Dance floor should be twice as big. Reasonably quick service at the bar. They had about 5 people serving behind the bar. I got served almost as soon as I arrived at the bar. Mind you I was just asking for water. But they were quick.

Can't speak highly enough about this place. The bar staff, the security, the bands, the patrons are ALL chill AF. This venue is something special. Its pub music in a club scene and it works perfectly. Attracts a more diverse crowd then most inner city places and this only works to complement the atmosphere even more. Its a hell of a night out, I have never been made to feel uncomfortable by any of the staff and everyone their just seems to pick up on that vibe and run with it. I could not imagine someone being here and acting like a jerk, they just would not fit in at all.

I loved their cocktails and the mariachi music was outstanding. I would have paid a lot of money as an entry fee for this concert, but it was free. Only suggestion would be to leave the kitchen open longer. Live music started at 8 and seemed like kitchen was closed at 9 already although most people stayed for at least 2 more hours.

I was here last night with some friends. The live band was awesome and the inside was really cool. This one guy wouldn’t leave me alone and it escalated to the point that he swore at me and was following me for quite some time. I told the bouncer and he immediately asked me to point him out and they kicked him out. They believed me right away and handled it really well. I am really grateful. Thank you!

The cocktails and live music in this underground bar are out of this world. The line up can get long on weekends but still worth the wait. Can get really crowded so don't expect to always get a table or seat. Always a great crowd!

Great little basement bar with a good selection of beer. It has great live music regularly which often flows an American rhythm and blues vein. It has great booths and feels like a secret spot even though it does regualry have a decent amount of people without feeling full.

This place has a good vibe, tasty snacks and a variety of different beers on tap. Decent spirits collection too. There's a stage for live banners, so check in to see if there's anything you might like on any particular night. The only downside was the background music before the band was too loud, making conversation difficult. It's a small venue, the sound doesn't have to be turned up to 11.

Great atmosphere in a small "underground" prohibition-style bar. Very crowded on Weekends so forget finding a table at night! Nice range of "old style" music, including blues, jazz and rockabilly helps it stand out from the usual Brisbane bar scene. Decent selection of beers and a really interesting cocktail selection. Be sure to check out the boilermaker deals if you're in for a big night!

Groovy underground bar you've probably never heard of. Head into Eagle Lane and find a magical door leading down stairs. I went on a Thursday night and saw an incredible three piece swing band play an awesome version of Johnny Be Good. Great beer and drinks available in a really cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

What. a. vibe. Honestly funnest place to go out in Brisbane - their cover bands are so good (think double bass, saxophone, keyboard etc.). You'll boogie to Killers, Eminem, Fergie and Wham covers in the space of 10 mins. Only downside is it gets super packed on a Fri or Sat night and it's a small space.

I guess this bar is cool because it's in a back line, through a nondescript doorway and down a set of stairs. But once in there, I found it kind of average. Beers and cocktails on tap (yes, cocktails on tap!) and live entertainment (though not when I was there.) Worth a visit, but then move on.

Delighful hidden bar complete with live music. Comfortable and cosy, with booths around the edges can make for a wonderfully intimate evening. A great range of craft beers on tap and some inspired cocktails, influenced by the prohibition American style decor. Highly recommended stop in on a night out on the town.

Another Americana bar, such a refreshing change from all the Irish Bars and low cost fit out hipster bars, though plenty of them in here. $9 beers, but that keeps the poor out, and your paying for the band and fit out which as I said beats plywood and milk crates. Worth a stopover, but you will have to sell a kidney if your planning a night here.
