Great little Craft Beer Bar in Sandgate. A lovely surprise was the wine and spirit list. Drank my beer out of pints, BJ stepped up and offered my best little mate a bowl or two of iced water. Easy going and relaxing. No food though. Would be great if BJ could offer menus from nearby foodies. A Food Truck has a regular gig here. Phone, confirm and make a booking. A great village feel here.

Awesome! My dad plays there and my family really enjoys going there. Although I'm not an adult, the alcohol here is supposedly great and the prices are very cheap and reasonable! The reason why I didn't rate it five stars is because I'm not a musician/drinker who would come here once a month. Still, love this place!

Great place. Small on space, but huge on atmosphere. Welcoming friendly vibe. Live music playing when I went, & no cover charge. Relaxed relationship with neighbouring restaurants on sidewalk areas. Plenty of close free parking, & also very close to train.

What happened to the cardi bar?? When did it become so inhospitable? When did it become so pompous? Was it because the original owners, Chris and Gabby left? I do not know. But the new owners are not as courteous as Chris and Gabby were. They do not seem as passionate about the bar either. There are still lots of local acts and some great live music but the overall atmosphere of the place has changed. It is no longer accepting of everyone! It feels cliquey, imperious and snobby. So basically unless you are a seasoned regular the staff treat you with rudeness and hostility. It feels like they do not want you there at all. I used to love the Cardi bar. It had a great atmosphere full of friendly locals and a great range of expensive but yummy drink choices. My recent experience has disappointed me beyond belief. 😢😢

I'd really have to think about it before I tried to describe the Cardigan bar to give it the justice it deserves. The bar vibes an extremely unique, creative, artistic, bohemian, intimate & down to earth feel to it. Impressive free live music & out of this world drinks!

I had my son's surprise 18th birthday party at the Cardigan Bar and it was the best night. The staff were excellent and organised everything from great food to drinks to music to a great photographer. Everyone had a great time and it cost less than I planned
