Stumbled across this car on my morning coffee hunt. It was super busy which l always think is a good sign. Unfortunately l had to wait a long time to order and even longer wait to get my coffee. Coffee wasn't disappointing but next time I'll go off peak time.

I love this place for a morning coffee during the week! Allpress coffee is delicious and the chocolate on a cappuccino is somehow better than most. Friendly, fast and consistent.

Sorry Chocolate Soldier, I asked for extra Vegemite on my toast today after getting so little yesterday that the butter was stronger in taste. Didn’t help when the guy who served me was so dismissive when I tried to explain why I had to ask for it. Today not much better with the thinnest layer of Vegemite AND you forgot my coffee. At least the coffee was good when you finally made it. Just wondering if it’s worthwhile going back for that.

I had an awesome coffee and a really good customer service experience when I tried this coffee shop for the first time this week. Everything was quick, professional and of a high standard. I like the vibe when you walk in, that professional yet cozy atmosphere is a great selling point. I’ll be coming back again.

Nice place, interesting food. Coffee was fresh. It's not really a place for a casual diner, I was in my holiday mode shorts while 99% of the clientele were dressed in their 9 to 5s. My long black was beautiful but was sadly disappointed by the blandness of my almond croissant. The service made a couple of mistakes with my order but the staff were nice enough and made up for it.

Good coffee, friendly staff. Nice atmosphere if you like a bustling coffee shop (like i do). Nice food and service is pretty quick. Its my go-to for meeting friends for coffee quality and location.

Love their selection, go there every day. Unfortunately as a giant kid my coffee of choice is a mocha & they tend to miss putting the chocolate in my cup, resulting in a flat white. After two/three weeks I had a quiet word with the person taking my order and I had a good 2 weeks of amazing Mochas. This morning it was a flat white again and it annoyed me enough to write this review. I like this place, i just wish they'd get my coffee right. It's ironic that I can't get the chocolate part of my coffee consistently at a cafe named Chocolate soldier, but life goes on.

Great coffee, good selection of eats, but its the people that make a place work, and these guys (and girls) are terrific at creating a fun and vibrant place to visit. Did i mention the cool couches to sit on and chill? Love my daily visit to Choc Soldier!

I have been going to the Chocolate Soldier for years and it has always had a very high standard of coffee. The staff are fantastic, and the owner Jeff always remembers to say hi, even if it has been a while between visits. Great place for a coffee and a chat. You can sit inside in air-conditioned comfort, or in a sidewalk table to watch the passing parade of people. My favorite place in the city.

Coffee was average and so was the blueberry muffin. But it was at least open past 2pm and the seating space is all right to do some work or read. For a coffee with friends it it has too corporate feel to it...
