We went to one of the bottomless brunch sessions and had a great time! Our host - Lilly was really lovely and nothing was too much trouble, she diligently kept our glasses topped up. The session wasn't super packed with people which we really appreciate - especially with the way of the world currently. Both of us will definitely be back for another session soon!

We decided on a drive to Paddington today to find a nice place for lunch on New Years Eve. We decided on Darling and Co and was not disappointed. We ordered the Capricciosa pizza, Fragrant Mussels and The Wagyu Rump Cap. Mussels were the best we've had in a long time, the pizza was delicious and the wagyu was cooked perfectly medium rare to our liking. We had such a wonderful lunch to finish the last day of 2021 thanks to Pat who was so friendly. We will visit again soon for another lovely meal. Have a Happy New Year 😊

We got married at Darling & Co in May 2021. We live interstate but the whole planning process with Rachel was a breeze. The venue is in a great location. We had our ceremony and reception at Darling & Co and only had to walk around the corner for some beautiful photo spots. We had a cocktail style reception with constant finger food and some substantial items. The menu options were great and all our guests commented on how good the food was. Krystina was an absolute gem on the day and could not have done more for us if she tried. The bar staff and wait staff were all great too. Darling & Co were the standout wedding supplier on our day and we would not hesitate in recommending them for anyone looking for their wedding venue - You won't be disappointed :) Thanks so much Darling & Co team. FOOD & DRINK We started with a schooner of my fav White Rabbit dark ale and a glass of sparkling white wine, not cheap, at $10 each. For our entree we ordered the chorizo and cheese croquettes. There were three decent-sized pieces to the serve. They had a soft, creamy filling and a warm, crispy coating: the perfect way to start the meal. For mains, we chose the char grilled striploin, the roasted cauliflower with tabouli and tahini, and a bowl of sweet potato chips with chipotle mayonnaise. All the meals were fresh, tasty and delicious. My wagyu striploin was cut into small, manageable slices. It was well cooked to perfection, just the way I like it, but still tender and full of flavour. To accompany the meat, there were roasted tomatoes, mushrooms and something called “chimichurri” a tangy South American style sauce. My wife's roasted cauliflower dish was huge, with two chunky pieces of fresh, tasty cauliflower, with couscous, tahini and tabouli. It was so big that we took half of it home and had it for dinner the next night! AMBIENCE On the Thurs night that we dined, in late Aug, there were only a handful of other guests, but that didn’t bother us, and we enjoyed the casual, laid back and unhurried ambience. The decor features wooden floors, heavy wooden panelling and fairy lights, all reminiscent of the 1980s. It's clearly in need of a makeover to modernise and brighten it up. I guess closing off some parts that are never used, might also help to improve the atmosphere by making it more intimate. As it stands, it is a bit soulless and dreary, which is a pity because the deals make it worthwhile visiting, and I'm sure that we will be back. SERVICE We had no complaints about the service. There were a number of staff on duty, more than probably was required, but we found them all to be friendly, helpful and polite. One does one’s own ordering with the app, so staff’s role is limited to bringing out the food and clearing plates from the table, all of which they did quickly and efficiently. Drinks and food came out in the correct order, although there was a slight wait of about 15 minutes between the entrees and the main courses. COMFORT We chose to sit in the bar area, on high chairs, which was quite comfortable, and suited us nicely. We were easily able to converse, as the noise levels were low, given the paucity of other diners, but this could potentially be a loud venue, when it’s full or even half full, with so much wood and glass, and no noise absorbers. I did find it a tad cold, and the dim lighting made it hard to read the menu. There was nowhere to hang our coats or jackets, but luckily we had a table for four, so the two empty bar stools provided ideal space for that. TOILETS Toilets are a little tricky to find behind the function centre, but they’re clean, well stocked, and equipped with a modern hand-dryer. There are ample male and female cubicles. PARKING Parking is easy in any one of a number of nearby sidestreets. I found a spot just behind the “Paddo” in Campbell Street, but you could also find spaces in Alexandra, Castlemaine or Dowse Streets. If there are restrictions, they still allow for two hours parking and tend to end at 7.00pm COST We paid $70 (after a 50% discount deal on food which has now ended) for two drinks, a starter and two mains. Full price would have been something like $123, so the moral of the story is that you should come here when they have deals or offers, otherwise it’s too expensive. MEMO The Darling is part of the “Australian Venue Co” group, which owns a number of other restaurants and pubs around Brisbane, including the famous Regatta Hotel in Toowong. You can join their rewards program and receive points for every dollar spent, which you can eventually turn into savings off your bill. SUMMARY We had a pleasant evening at the Darling on a quiet Thursday night, and everything ran smoothly. Although the place was fairly empty, the ambience was relaxed and casual. Food was first class and service was efficient and polite. We’ll be back next time they have a deal.

Came here on a quiet Thursday night. Ordered some pizza and foods to share. Foods are delicious, I particularly like the tuna taco. Tuna was fresh and matched perfectly well with the sweet sauce. I think the wait time of the foods was a bit long given that it wasn’t busy. There was music but not too loud, you can still talk to your friends without yelling. The thing I don’t really like are the sticky table and the menu. Felt like they have been cleaned for ages.

I went to a Sunday brunch here and although the drinks were nice, there is only 3 pizzas to choose from for the ‘main’ meal and the starter vegetarian share platter was pretty basic. I wish that for $69 for 2 hours the food component of the brunch was done better. Otherwise, staff were friendly and helpful and the place was pretty.

A nice neat space, lots of natural light. The breakfast menu isn't particularly inventive and a bit pricey for what you get but the food was very fresh. Coffee was decent although, again, small size for the price. Overall nothing stand out for the product but service and the design of the venue was pretty good. Fruit infused water was a nice touch.

$30 Bottomless dumplings. Came to the 8pm session, 90 minutes bottomless dumplings with a glass of kirin or rose on arrival. Basically, ya get what you pay for. All the dumplings tasted the same (apparently there was 5 flavours) with the exception of an extra salty one, pork something..? The dumplings were cooked in 2 different ways, fried, which was honestly quite difficult to swallow and a little sharp or the way down.. honestly just genuinely disappointing and steamed. Much better than the fried, but definitely over cooked and a little watery. Kudos to the kitchen for smashing them out so quick, but there is definitely no consistency with what you get & some of the plates that go out, honestly I'd be embarrassed. Over all glad we came, but won't be returning as the beer & lovely wine maker who was visiting and giving samples of his new wine were the best part of the experience. Hope you guys work out the kinks cause it really does have the potential to shine.

I had my 21st here in one of their function rooms ( Swayzes ) and it was amazing. Genuinely one of the best hosted events I've been to. The staff at Darling and Co. were friendly, professional, accommodating and genuinely invested in giving me the best night possible. The function itself was stunning. I’m not sure where the best place to post this review is, but we celebrated a friends birthday on the 19th and the service was outstanding! Our waitress Clara was phenomenal and super accommodating to all our requests! We had our work function here on 11/12/2020. Food was average but the service topped it off for us. Clara was our dedicated host/server and she was amazing. She was prompt, friendly and tried to learn our drinks by face. We were never without a drink/empty glass. Would definitely come back for drinks again just based on service. It was a hot day today, so the Air-Con here is awesome! Staff were nice & friendly. Food takes awhile to arrive (we attended between 7pm & 11:15pm) Music is quite LOUD. Malibu & Coke cost $7.50c .. Secure Parking is great here, pay for parking (we paid $15) but it gets reimbursed when you take it to the Bar & you dine here! Very nice place!

Had an amazing night at Bottomless Dumplings! Dumplings were delicious and just kept flowing. A new bunch arrives before you even have time to finish the first. Left feeling full and satisfied. Loved the “dumpling roulette” as the manager described. Kept us guessing what was what and made the pork and prawn (the favourite at our table) a treat when found. Service was prompt, friendly and couldn’t be faulted. Restaurant manager lovely and bubbly and gave us a warm welcome. All round 10/10 evening.

Looking for a late lunch on a weekday, we found everywhere in Paddo had closed their kitchen at 2pm! Everywhere, that is, except Darling and Co. Personally, we I liked the ambiance, though my friend thought it was a bit too much like an American diner. The salad with roast chicken was very good, the portions large and the chicken tender and delicious . The service was very friendly and quick. Happy to find them!

Booked on recommendation of my wife.. I made a booking really late Friday afternoon and whilst they were full due to the football, they were able to accommodate our table of 4 for a quick dinner before the game. We actually arrived with 5 people with a last minute addition to our group, massive shout to Mel and her response, “absolutely, not a problem” and without hesitation took us to another table.. (they did have to rearrange a couple of tables once we were seated).. It didn’t end there, whilst Mel dedicated a wonderful server to our table she new we were in a hurry to game. Took our order promptly and I’m guessing put in a good word with the chefs because we were in and out in 40 minutes with a couple of rounds! Amazing service, extremely hospitable and really felt they would go the extra mile to make sure you have a great night! Well done Mel and your team!! Ps My burger was amazing!!

Good deal on happy hour oysters, drinks normally priced. Pizzas were good, thin cut french fries good but ten dollars for a small portion, fried squid wouldn't get again, costly and too fried. Very open atmosphere to the outside with large slider windows, but anyone that smokes outside goes right up to the inside tables and everyone remotely close smells it.

Their events planners were really good to us and had the same caring and calm approach that we had, which was a good match. The staff are lovely and generate a fantastic atmosphere in this gorgeous bar! Parking downstairs is refunded by staff if you’re a patron, which makes the convenience hard to beat. Wine Down Thursday gets you a cheese plate and two glasses of wine for $30, and they’re happy for you to share. You can also get gluten free crackers for your cheese plate, but it’s safest to advise them of that request in advance as they don’t always have them on hand. Although their website says you can’t book for ten or more without a set menu, you can if you call them directly. Our Bookclub group (16 people) were all seated together, and had a fantastic time! The bar and restaurant itself is also wheelchair accessible and welcoming of Assistance Dogs, but if you are going to the bar rather than the restaurant be aware that there are lots of tall tables and fixed seats so it may be worth booking in advance.

Darling & Co is light and breezy. The airy, modern interior is very pleasant. As it is near Suncorp Stadium it can be packed at event times. On our visit, in the late lunch to early afternoon time frame there were options available for sitting. Prices were on the high side both for drinks and food. The service was relaxed or some might call it slow, eventually burgers and pizzas have arrived. The thin crust pizza dough was tasty and well baked, however the tomato sauce was bland and the toppings were sparse. The french fries were a bit rubbery. Most of the draft beer on offer comes from the major breweries.

Frequently have to wait for service during the day whilst quiet, as the bar is often unattended, and there is a lack of friendliness when being served. The locals card is a great idea for the neighbours, and the food is generally okay. Nice selection of wines, and cocktails. Beer selection is limited, but there is a small collection of craft beers in the fridge, with mostly local commercial beers on tap.

We really enjoyed our night. We dined on a Saturday mid December 2016. The food was excellent and our steaks were cooked nicely. We are GF/DF and normally desserts are just too hard to find a match. But the highlight for us was that our waitress, without us asking, went and checked with the chef about serving a fruit sorbet with some other fruit that was GF/DF. This dessert was really fresh and delicious. Really good service. They do need to expand their wine list as there is only about 3 wines each for red and whites. These days for a fine dining restaurant the wine selection needs to much larger.

A combination restaurant and bar we found the music a little too loud for dinner conversation and were often yelling at each other. The service was fantastic and the waiter was more than accommodating when asked to bring out the birthday cake. The parking is at B2 however to spot the place is little confusing.

For a private business breakfast event, you cannot go past Darling and Co, based on my recent experience. Great ambience, good AV equipment, comfortable seating, great food. The poached eggs were the most perfectly poached eggs I've ever experienced at a business event. Served on toasted sour-dough and accompanied by half a (sliced and perfectly ripe) avocado, with some little delectable garnishes. Fruit platter was very lovely too, just a shame there was no cutlery provided to eat it with. (I prefer my fruit for afters, and my cutlery went with my plate) Good coffee. With a small improvement on 'during presentation' coffee service and some fruit-forks, this would have gotten 5 stars.

This place is so extra. I found this place on my crusade for a study session and needed a coffee to keep me going. This place delivered, I tell you! Firstly everything about the atmosphere is stunning, it's the equivalent of those undeniably good looking people that are also nice, yeah ugh am I right. Anyway this place is decorated with style, sophistication and practicality you could have everything from an awkward first date over brunch to an intimate wedding. The staff are so friendly, and I know, we read this and think mmmmm well they're getting paid to be but honestly these people rock. They also make some damn good coffee, even after I added my extra shot of coffee and caramel with extra chocolate sprinkles to my latte and the usual barristas give you that look that says 'would you like world peace too'... they didn't even flinch at a grown man asking for extra sprinkles! Do yourself a favour schedule a visit here, or just stop in for the calming vibes. On a last note they also do something called bottomless Bellini bowls if that doesn't confirm all I've just said, stay away you don't deserve to come here. Darling & Co you the real MVP.
