We had a great experience on Saturday. We had the Admirals 5 course lunch @ $57pp. They are shared dishes and not too big so you leave full but not uncomfortable. The service was good. The cocktails delicious. The food was excellent. Every dish was balanced and had excellent flavour! I'd definitely go back to try more of their food and cocktails!!

Really cool gin bar & great experience. We were looked after by Rhiannon (think that's right?), who was really friendly. Slight delay getting started as she was having a battle with her printer but she accommodated by upgrading us to the premium tasting package which was a lovely surprise! Cheese platter was amazing, especially the candied walnuts! Yummy!! Great range of Gins...think I found some of my new favourites. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon chilling

A cool gin bar with a great atmosphere and amazing cocktails. The bartenders and staff were friendly and attentive, the staff offered to find a table and reserve it for us while we wait for our cocktails at the bar, which for us was nice. We sat upstairs and it was a pretty cool area. We'd come back anyday!

An enjoyable two floor, well presented gin bar and restaurant, though you can get other spirits, beer and wine. An enormous choice in gin, local and overseas varieties. Similarly for tonic water so many to choose from. There are even a dessert gin like the Pavlova gin, which I really enjoyed straight over ice. Food is share plates with a strong Mediterranean and middle eastern theme. The Lamb cigars, flank steak, houmous and Taramasalata are all great to share. Definitely will be back.

Visited here a couple of months ago and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The menu was great with a decent variety and the food was delicious. The bar has a large range of Gins, cocktails and other beverages and the setting is casual dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoyed the evening and will be back again. Went here on a ‘Gin Bar Quest’ and was at first taken aback. First impressions -it looks like any ordinary restaurant / cafe, but don’t let that fool you! Great plantation style decor begins your journey into a gastronomic carnival. We had two starters that were out of this world- one being lamb cigars and the other little parcels of goat cheese deliciousness followed by a lamb tagine. Amazing flavours and presentation -just perfect. But the food is an extra bonus on top of the fact the lads at the bar know their stuff! Dry Gin Martini highly rated by my significant other whilst I dappled in a Slingsby Rhubarb neat on the rocks - they nailed my floral notes request. Well priced and definitely worth the find!! Going again ASAP!

If you like gin, you'll love Dutch Courage. Two levels of gin cocktails (and neat samplers, with a range that reads like an extensive wine list). Bar-style dining. Period decor a nice touch. Only disappointment: tasting 'flights' have to be pre-booked (we didn't know).

Visited this place last night. Great selection of gin I loved that they had Roku Gin! The bar tender was very caring about making the drink not rushing but enjoying it which was nice to see! The only reason for not 5 stars lacking in atmosphere and vibe. We will however return and try the food!

Pleasantly surprised by this lovely place. Great solid drinks made with touch and care. The food was amazing to be honest, and I've worked as a chef in Michelin establishments at times. Falafels were perfect with the harissa and mayo dip. Fries were just perfect with a nice seasoning on. The pork was beautifully balanced with the pureé and condiments. The pita bread and hummus was wonderfully fresh and well seasoned. Honestly a great evening!

We went here recently as a bit of a celebration and I think the best way to enjoy the place is to find a way to talk to the bar staff. That way you can find out about their recommendations and how best to enjoy them. Otherwise the list of hundreds of varieties of gin is just way too overwhelming. I really didn’t know what I was looking for and enjoyed a Tom Collins and my wife really liked the cocktails she had. Id like to see a why if trying different styles of gins as an orientation. Food okay, nothing to write home about.

The only reason for a 4 star is because one of the female staff was very unpleasant and the table we had upstairs was sticky and smelt like it was cleaned with an unclean cloth. If not for those two things it would of definitely been a five star. The food was absolutely amazing, and served fast. Especially liked the zucchini flowers, compliments to the chef! Thee variety gin and beverages were plenty, especially enjoyed the grapefruit.

Went here last night for a friend's birthday and I couldn't fault the experience at all! From the moment we walked in we had fantastic service, the staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions and knowledge. Special shout out to the wonderful Pearl who took the time to sit down and explain the gin selection to us, work out what types we would prefer and then proceed to organise three select drinks that tasted amazing! The food was INCREDIBLE, and atmosphere fantastic. For three adults, a number of shared plates plus three cocktails each came to around $90 each - and the birthday girl even got a free extra cocktail. Would return in a heartbeat, thanks team for such a wonderful night.

My girlfriend's and I went here last night - it was my first time there. We were served by lovely hosts, and had delicious cocktails (I personally loved Captain Sparrow - if I have gotten this name correct, otherwise I'll blame the drinks haha). More importantly, if you get a chance, definitely have some of the food there! We had the banquet and it was beautiful! The lamb in particular was fall of the bone worthy, and my oh MY was it an incredible spread! Can't wait for another time to come back and enjoy another evening there!

I’ve never been one to write reviews; but the girls behind the bar tonight really deserve some recognition - the young girl Andy was so delightful and when I found out it was her first week I was gobsmacked! The manager was lovely and super knowledgeable also but I sadly didn’t catch her name. It’s so refreshing to see young people in hospitality actually care about the customer! Of course how could I forget the gins though! So many choices! And the new food menu was just wow! That chef deserves a pay rise!

We went for Feed Me Thursday. The food was excellent and I recommend their skillful chef's selection to everyone. The bar is also very cozy and nice. The service was good and gentle at the beginning, but it became harsh half way through the dinner. Perhaps something happened to the staff member in the kitchen and she got mad. Super slow and terrible service. 15 minutes to even get a menu and a basic greeting from our waitress. Took us an hour to get our drinks and they weren’t even the right ones when she brought them. The worst part about it is the place wasn’t even that busy. The only good thing was the actual gin selection and the garnishes they put with them.

The wait staff were lovely, knowledgeable about both food and beverages. Their gin knowledge was a delight. The first course, various selection at the table was an amazing combination of flavours. That cauliflower dish was wonderful as were all the others. Main and sides were plentiful and delicious. Beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. Don't lose that chef. Fabulous food that just melts in your mouth. I thought there would be an all in brawl when sharing the Crispy Pork, everyone at the table wanted it. Well fitted out, casual and lovely staff. Amazing cocktail menu that takes days to read. They also let you order cocktails off the menu. I would highly recommend for a cocktail and casual meet up. It is also darkly lit so can be a venue for a romance as well. Not sure how busy it gets- we were in there early.

a big lover of this bar - have been many times and had a great experience. bit of a disappointment recently though - my partner and i booked a table for dinner and drinks. we waited double the time for food to arrive with 20 people in the venue, compared to the last time we were here when we received our food within 15 mins of being seated when the place was packed. my parter got his within 40 minutes, and i waited for an hour when we ordered at the same time. we also ordered a drink that was ordered over half an hour ago, and never received it - we left after 30 mins of waiting - whereas the table next to us ordered drinks and got them within minutes. really a shame. i do recommend coming here just disappointed this time. shame to ruin such a good streak with very slow service.

Absolutely spectacular experience last night at this bar, we had the duck, octopus and salmon share plates (compliments to the Chef) and we drank about 10 absolutely delicious gin cocktails. Had the banquet which had some hit and miss dishes. Service was what let this place down, had to wait 15 minutes for a beer upstairs after I paid which was missed. One waiter had no idea about the dishes, what was next and even brought over another tables dish. Some staff were really switched on which was good but it didn’t make up for errors.

If you take your gin seriously then you need to build up some Dutch courage and head off the beaten valley path to Alfred Street. A comprehensive selection of local and international gin varieties await your palette. Do them a favour and give them the opportunity to tantalise your palate. Go with the 45ml option if you want to quaf you gin. Served in a large balloon glass with a matching set of garnishes that accentuate the botanicals in your choice of gin.

Cute gin bar in the spring Hill/fortitude valley area. There's so many gin options to choose from. We asked for help with our selection and ended up with a lovely lavender gin. Pretty expensive though. Four drinks cost me $66.
