I come here often and it is always a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed and the views out the back are up there with the best in QLD. The meals are delicious and quite affordable. Staff are always friendly and willing to assist.

Rustic Gem by the Bay, Loved the historic pictures 📸 The service at the restaurant was great 👍. The chicken parmigiana was perfect ! However the steak was not so great almost looked and tasted like it was pre cooked then grilled before serving it was well over cooked. The salad 🥗 was refreshing with a splash of balsamic the chips are nothing special they could use some seasoning or start hand cutting for that next level experience. Chicken wings are a good start the salad underthem is not needed. Great spot for an arvo beer and chill 👌

Hotel has been open since 1851. On the Cleveland Peninsula with nice views to Moreton Bay. Food is good but you may need to wait up to 40 minutes. Drinks are reasonably priced.

Fantastic food and also great portion sizes. They also made some banging cocktails that were all around the $16 mark which is standard. All in all a nice place and also old mate doing music on the Saturday night rocked it.

Great spot for a family lunch. Got a table out back under the rotunda - fantastic view and sea breeze. Other half raved about her steak, big kid had chicken schnitzel and promptly wolfed it down. I had a steak sandwich - tasty but cool by the time it hit the table. Little one had the kids flathead and chips.. All serves generous - particularly the kids meal. All meals good quality and tasty. Other than my issue with the temperature of my steak sandwich it was a ripper of an afternoon. Recommended.

Food is good, but very inconsistent. Been here with a friend multiple times, and each time there is something wrong with the meal. Steaks are usually over cooked, so we end up ordering them fairly rare to get it right. Salad portions are inconsistent, one meal will have heaps, and one has next to none. Chips are old, and I don't know how long they have sauces sitting in the ramekins for, because they oxidize and form a layer on top of them. Staff are decently friendly.

We love this pub because if it's location and feel but it's got to be said that the food is usually average here. The service at the bar was good and they sometimes have some good events. They could just be more consistent and a bit higher quality and value for money on the menu.

Atmosphere is lovely. Food is okay..nothing special. It used to be great quality yummy meals, but seems to have changed at some point. I had avocado in my caesar that was clearly well past it's due date. No one at our big table was overly impressed with their meals.

Grand Old Pub- the age is showing on this beauty, but you can still have a nice time out. The building need some work, they are clean and welcoming, they just need a bit of updating. The outdoor seating areas are great spot for a meal and enjoy the sunshine. The food is typical pub fare , nothing special from what we tried. The ribs where ok but not as tender or flavoursome as I would expect. The chips were good. The staff where friendly, but seemed a little stretched. Our food and drinks did come out quickly. Upstairs is an art exhibition featuring local artists which is a nice touch to enjoy when you have finished you meal.

Good ambience, excellent service by Haley Wilson and team. We were very pleased with the outcome of our event (wedding reception) at this Hotel on 6/9/20. Our guests were very happy with their service! Made our wedding day extra special. Would definitely recommend to couples who would like a vintage-look/elegant reception. It was good because we love the Grandview but booked last Monday for an undercover setting and were put in the garden with one umbrella for 8 people. Got around that. Ordered food with a pre-laminated sign saying 1 hour wait for food. Put up with that. A line up at the bar where there were three people serving - line up unnecessary as we were all standing 1.5 metres apart. We waited over 1 1/2 hours for our food & it was seriously dreadful. Burger buns so hard you wouldn’t attempt to eat them - seafood pizzas with crumbed calamari on it???? We loved coming to the Hotel for the mussels and salt & pepper calamari - and were told it was due to Covid it was no longer on the menu??? We have been coming to this Hotel for 9 years now. I am saying this as a member of the Hotel for constructive criticism and hope it will be taken on board

Such a historic pub that doesn't disappoint. Friendly staff and prompt lunchtime service. The Chicken Parmie was a sight for the hungriest teenager, and my Rib rack was tasty and cooked to perfection. And THAT view.....sure is "Grand" Can't wait to get back there tbh

The Grand View was built 1851, it is much loved by the locals. GV is situated on the beautiful Moreton Bay. The alfresco dining offers great steak and seafood alike. Pop in for a beer, enjoy the atmosphere, stay for lunch and enjoy the sunshine Redlands brings.

We celebrated my 40th with a lunch for 35 people at the back undercover garden and was absolutely a hit with all the families and kids. From the organisation of the event until the event day, Hayley Wilson helped me out with everything, such a wonderful person to deal with. I must say that I received such good comments for the location view, the pizzas, the chips.... To be honest it was a perfect day! Thank you.

Give it 3 starfor the view. Its an old building so you need to appreciate that. The innards are tired and in need of a make over or a fresh coat of paint. Two days later and my arse is still sore from sitting on an uncomfortable chair. 3 men in the group had rump steak. They were all similar but they managed to mix them up. The steak itself was full of sinue and what meat was there was tough as. The women had other meals and said they were lovely. We are locals and several people in our group failed to join us after the function (AGM) for the meal and chose a different venue to eat at, stating they had previously been disappointed by the meals. The staff were lovely and attentive to our needs and the beers were cold.

Quaint spot with a good amount of seating. Parking can be a bit of an issue during Friday/Saturday nights, but also isn't far from street parking a block or two away. The food is pricey for serving size, but it's still pretty good eats. Great place for groups and definitely family friendly. Live music most weekends which is generally pretty great, albeit the stock standard "greatest hits of acoustic ballads", but perhaps I've not had the opportunity to see other artists/styles of music. All in all a good joint. Would recommend.

We drove from Gatton for another awesome seafood platter that we enjoyed 20 months previously but they no longer have it on the menu. The food is now average pub standard but the staff are still awesome. Can't fault the service or location but the meals let them down.

It certainly has some history but this poor old pub is showing it's age. It is really quite run down and as the trees surrounding it have grown, the view is not so grand. The staff member that served was polite but not very knowledgeable. I heard that new management has taken over, it will be interesting to see what they do here.

This is a lovely, historic hotel with great ambience. We visited on a Sunday and there was good live music in the outdoor area but my guests were disappointed that the musical duo played for only a short period followed by quite an extended break. I really enjoyed my mushroom arancini but my guests were less impressed with their meatballs which had nuts in it and the chicken wings which were too rich. One of my guests informed staff that her soy latte had curdled and thar there was a thickened layer. But when they brought a replacement coffee, it was also curdled and thickened.

We've been before when we had a lovely family dinner so this was our 2nd visit. Probably should be 4 1/2 stars. The food was very good and the staff were absolutely faultless but it's just not a genuine 5 star experience . If you go there expecting 4 stars you'll have a great day/night. If you went expecting 5 stars you may be slightly disappointed. It won't be too long before we visit again.

Tonight was my first visit to the Grand View. I will start with the only downfall being that it's not very clear where the restaurant is, and where to order. We sort of wandered through, looked around for a menu, and asked a staff member where to order. Aside from that, the staff were friendly and helpful, our orders came very quickly and the rib fillet was perfect. I will definitely be happy to return there.

I have been coming here since I was a little boy. I just recently had my wife`s surprise birthday party and I am so glad I did. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. This would have to be the best place to hold a function for families. Kids had a ball and it was easy to keep an eye on them. If you could give more stars I would. Thanks Grandview Hotel for a unforgettable night.

We love the atmosphere here and we occasionally pop in for lunch, we really like sitting out in their open courtyard where we can see panoramic views of Redland Bay and all natural surrounds. Very relaxing. A live band playing was great background music - a nice addition while dining and conversing. There are three Gazebos which make for privacy yet open so as to still enjoy the vista. We tasted their Apple Pie, the first time there, and we've never forgotten it! It was perfect in sweetness and spices just enough to compliment the apples, a real old - fashioned apple pie taste. Recently discovered their zesty Lemon Tart. The main I had was Cabonara - it came up to standard, was really delicious and filled the spot!

Oldest pub in Queensland has something for everyone! Huge outdoor area, child and family friendly, plenty of bars to get a drink from, lots of screens to watch the sport as well as a full VIP gaming lounge and a TAB. Worth a visit and an easy way to spend a few hours relaxing.

I attended Xmas lunch yesterday 29th November and there was 38 in our group. We all received Xmas lunch consisting of generous servings of Turkey, ham, broccollini,roast potatoes, pumpkin and peas. Of which all was beautiful. Followed by plum pudding and custard. We had a couple with dietary requirements and were most kindly considered in setting of meal. All who attended thoroughly enjoyed this meal which was held in a room separated from bar etc. Would r recommend attending and enjoying hospitality and Grandview amazing views of the bay landmarks of the Redlands Coast.

Grand View has just introduced a new menu. Had lunch there today, excellent fish and chips with very tasty, and different, herb and tartare with yogurt dressing. Partner had crispy skin salmon, said it was marvelous. Sitting outside under the poinciana tree, cool breeze, cold beer, what could be better.

Nice quirky looking pub, bar staff are lovely... but be wary of the meals. Ordered the daily special of grilled Barramundi with chips and veg.. the poor Barramundi was inedible, as it was well over cooked and mushy. It was watery, like it hadn't been properly defrosted before being put on the grill. The waiter boy was lovely, but was clearly not trained in dealing with complaints. I watched him take the uneaten fish over to his manager, and that was that... nothing. No acknowledgement from the manager. But thank you, i enjoy spending $30 for a handful of chips and carrot sticks.

We stopped by for coffee and cake. The views of the ferries are fairly obscured by trees still it's a pretty outdoor area. It has some large poinciana trees and strangler figs next door that are worth a photo. We didn't have a meal, a little pricey for a pub meal for us but a pleasant stop when sightseeing the area.

The Grandview is a lovely relaxing venue for a family Sunday lunch there is a child's playground, shady trees with occasional bird dropping hazard if you're sitting under the trees! The food has improved since we were here last a couple of years ago and overall everyone was very happy with the day they catered to a large number of people extremely well.

I really want to love the Grand View Hotel, but I can't. I'm a local to the area and the Grand View has alot going for it, great views, historic building, great atmosphere and the rustic charm of an old Australian pub. I've been there multiple times and the thing that let it down the most is its food and food service. Food service is always slow, just giving your order can take ten minutes of queuing. On average I would say it take 30 mins to get your food and when it arrives the quality is not great considering the prices charged. I believe if they sorted the food out, it could be a whole lot better.

Place seemed nice, we came in for breakfast on the 31/12/17 @ 9:30am and there was little to no info if breakfast was still being served and there was hardly any staff there it was practically empty and the staff that was there were to busy/ignoring us setting up for new years. One staff member who just came into work sussed out the info we needed so props to her. Would of been better first time experience if there was maybe more signage regarding a change in time for breakfast. I understand it's a busy time being nye so hoping nextime will be a better experience.

I can say they were a little slow but it wasn't a big deal as were there to catch up with each other. There was a singer and he was okay but we left when he got to noisy.

Both times I've visited here for lunch the wait times were in excess of 1 hour. The first time we were informed of the wait, but a rare steak arrived medium-well and then when re cooked, the rest of the meal was cold and the steak was cooked blue. The second instance we were not informed of the hour wait time. When i queried as to how far away the meal was (40 mins at that stage), they informed me it would be a further 15 mins. The meals ended up finally being recieved an hour and 15 later. When my meal was brought to the table, they provided a rump steak, when i had ordered an eye fillet. The waiter returned the meal to the kitchen and was then sent back to our table a further 2 times, both times with more attitdude than the situation required. It was finally found that the girl taking orders accidentally put through the wrong steak, even when we had discussed the eye fillet options. The girl then came to our table and apologized and offered the refund and a replacement meal. My review is indicative of the performance from the kitchen under high volume pressure, however they do need to be commended for owning up to their errors and attempting rectification.

The authentic old pub atmosphere with water views is fabulous. The customer service is outstanding, however the sea food was a little over cooked the first time. The waiter and kitchen staff quickly arranged a full replacement meal which was better (and appreciated). The menu has a large selection and you will find something for everyone's tastes and preferences. The Grand View Hotel is easy to find ... literally drive through Cleveland, Brisbane a couple of kilometers towards Moreton Bay "The Bay" and you're there. A wide selection of seating arrangements from large tables under the marquee to small quiet or intamit spot in the gazzibos.
