Great spot, was a bit hungry and wandered in for a bite to eat. Friendly and a great atmosphere. Lots of decor to view on the walls and some interesting characters that frequent. Had a steak and the Guiness pie. Both were great and around $25 each. Check it out it's a good spot.

I was forced to out myself as transgender before the security guard let me in. The name on my covid certificate and my ID matched. Not a single other bar that I have gone to has needed to ask what my dead name was it needed me to say out loud that my QLD health app has my chosen name because I am transgender. There was no reason why I should have had to have done that. It was confronting, damaging, and unnecessary. It was humiliating. Truly sickening practice. Edit: The bar did a really wonderful job of following this up and rectifying the situation. Thank you.

Murphy's vibrant atmosphere is a fun place to go for a nice evening out. The friendly staff also entice and ensure the outing is relaxing and welcoming. Numerous events are hosted here adding to the interest. Monday night Bam Duo performed. The leading artist is very experienced and a fun entertainer. The beer is fresh draught and, as you would expect in an Irish pub, great!! The bonus here is that if you have had a few beers the public transport is available just outside the front door.

Always a good time in this place. Good setting, with upstairs and downstairs areas. Drinks are affordable and they have Irish staff on. Live band is engaging and adds vibe to the place. Good location as well, great access to the river if you want to take a walkabout in between or after.

A lot of reviews here are saying that this is the best Irish pub in Brisbane. It's actually THE best pub in Brisbane - Irish or otherwise. Fantastic live music every night - all the artists are talented and entertaining. Professional, friendly and welcoming bar staff and management. Security staff are professional and helpful. Food great. Good selection of beers. Great decor and atmosphere. Also to be noted are the regular customers - very lively and friendly. This is our go-to venue, any time we are in the city.

Good pub - not authentic Irish (as I was informed by my Irish friend) but will satisfy your pin cravings. They do their Guiness well, and from the tap. Pub food is good too, we had the Guiness pie, chicken schnitzel and chicken parmigiana. Yum yum. Oh and live music :)

This is one of my favorite bars in Brisbane. I was disappointed that they don't offer an alcohol free beer or ginger beer option. Not everyone is able to drink and it would be so amazing to have an option for us so that we can still be included <3

We were walking back to our hotel on a hot Sunday afternoon, all the windows were open and we could hear the music so we decided to go in for a drink. Ended up staying for a couple of hours. Great Irish singer followed by an Irish band. The patrons were really friendly, it felt like we visiting our local. The Guinness was poured expertly by the young barmaid and at $7 per pint you would have to have a second pint. We didn’t eat there as we had already eaten, so I can’t comment on the food. If it’s atmosphere you are looking for this is the place.

My husband and I went in last night (sat) with the intention of having just a couple of drinks. Well we had the best night and left at closing time. The live music was brilliant with solo artist Scooter on first and Wild So well afterwards. The dance floor was packed all night and security was professional and friendly. Awesome atmosphere and the patrons were great. Would definitely go again 👍

Wandered in off the street and was greeted by the friendly manager from behind the bar. I had a killer lamb burger and fries off the very reasonably priced lunch special menu, she had a delightful rump roast. Enjoyed beers from the veranda. Great spot for a beer. The $7 pint happy hour is very enticing! The only fault I can give this place is that the basement smells a bit musky... but unless you're going there to gamble, who cares!

Beautiful historical building with interesting antiques displayed throughout. Fantastic place to meet up with friends for a few well priced drinks and a night of dancing to awesome live bands on ground level or explore the parlour rooms upstairs, furnished with couches to sit and chat in comfort, opening onto verendahs to catch the breeze and enjoy the view. Downstairs has a pokies area. Bars and toilets available on all three levels ensure no waiting in long line ups. Friendly, fun and efficient staff ensure your time at this venue is enjoyable. Atmosphere of this venue keeps me coming back as often as possible. All ages from 18 to 80 seem comfortable frequenting this exciting venue.

Called into this bar during a recent visit to Brisbane. Thought it was going to be another ‘sterotypical’ Irish pub overseas but it wasn’t. Food was excellent, had the burger myself, my friend had the steak. Could not fault it, delicious. Guinness was very nice, helps that it pours well, could see plenty of folk drinking it. The craic that night was great. The band had the place rocking, not just Irish tunes, proper rock anthems. This place surprised me, it really did, some of the bars in Belfast could actually pick up some pointers from a place like this! Visit here if in Brisbane and check it out for yourself.

Downstairs at lunchtime it's a scruffy place, with Irish memorabilia on the walls and a feeling that it's been here in this incarnation, with these rugby shirts on the wall, for some time. However, scruffiness isn't a bad thing, and this place would be less good if it were perfect inside. The Guinness is in excellent condition (somehow) and for a taste of Ireland you can't go far wrong.

Stopped by this wee gem on our quick visit to Brissy. Guinness Pie blew my mind! Best meal ive had in Australia. Struggled to finish it but washed it down with a beautiful pint of Kilkenny! Great live music with a very talented young man named Woody on a Tuesday night. Bar and wait staff were cheerful and seemed to be enjoying the tunes, singing along with customers. Great to see such a happy atmosphere! Will definitely be back soon.
