Well pleasantly surprised to say the least my meal was delicious and cooked to perfection the lamb fell off the bone vegetables were all cooked perfectly and so were the other two mains. The two entrees were also delish compliments to the chef knocked it out the park. Also arrived hot and in a very timely manner within 10mins of ordering

Our meals came out quite quickly, lovely and fresh. Huge size meal, good price. Staff very accommodating and a chirpy bunch. Put 1st time here, and won't be our last. I think this will become our regular family gathering grounds!

For a tavern, this was a lovely place. It was quiet, well spaced out (gaming and bar separate from dining area) and there is also a kids playground. My Dad and I had the roast of the day and chocolate dessert. Both were delicious and to top it all off, there was very lovely and friendly staff. Definitely will go back.

Good family atmosphere meals were good and at a very reasonable price. Staff were friendly. Very busy place and I can see why it is popular. Too many hotels are going upmarket and prices high for pub food. Kallangur tavern seem to have it right. Haven't been there for along time but would go back soon.

My partner and I decided to come out for dinner last night, first of all to the staff working out on the floor keep up the great work, we were greeted and felt welcome straight away, staff made us very comfortable, great atmosphere, fantastic food. Now to the chefs out back our meals were absolutely amazing. My partner had the caesar salad and I had the med rare Rib Fillet with chips and salad and garlic prawns. The food was cooked perfectly. You all are superstars. Keep up the brilliant work.

Have enjoyed the Shareplate tonight, Caesar Salad and garlic Bread. Can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. Normally a good meal at a reasonable price. Pretty relaxed atmosphere in the bistro. One of our regular go to's. Different nights have different specials. Counteries available in the bar too. If you have a Montys card they accept that - we all like a little discount hey.

We stayed at the motel yesterday so walked over for lunch. Sue, served us and was so helpful. We returned for dinner and Sue was still working. Again, she went above and beyond and at one point returning my forgotten jacket. We travel all over Australia and we do notice when we get great service. Sue is an absolute credit to the Kallangur Tavern.

Kallangur Tavern.... Or, as the locals know it, KT's. Pulling no punches. It's a rough neighborhood watering-hole with 3 areas of service, Sports/main bar, Dinning Room/middle bar, and then a small service area and bar for the gaming section. Kitchen serves wholesome food at a good price. Most days and nights you can expect the poker machines outnumber patrons. Some rough crowds at certain times, Late/Late Late.. Still worth a look..

We have been going to the Tavern for a while and we really enjoy the food but we went last week and with the kids meals we were told we could only have a fizzy drink with those, no longer poppers. Our kids aren't allowed fizzy so we had to pay for the poppers on top of the kids meal. Wasn't overly impressed. Other than that recommend this place.

We walked in without a reservation on mother's day and immediately got a table. It was right on 12 so the place was packed. Ordered our mains and they were on our table within 15 minutes. The food was hot and delicious. If you're looking for a local, where the meals are consistently good and affordable, the service is always with a smile, do yourself a favor and come check this place out. Bonus points for always been clean and tidy. They also have a kids play area so it's family friendly

We held a function at KT. The Function manager Jess, was fantastic. Her team were very attentive and kept things rolling really well. The food served was delicious and all guests commented on how lovely everything was. Would definitely recommend. Staff packed away after the event and even helped me with loading my car. More than I ever expected. Highly recommend.

New to the area so figured we'd give the local tavern a go for a Friday night dinner. Both the southern fried chicken burger and the steak sandwich were well sized and delicious. My one year old also loved his spag bol and free little ice cream for desert. The cookies and cream cheesecake was a bit disappointing at the end and tasted a bit like a cheap store bought one. That won't stop us from coming back however. Very friendly and professional staff also.

A small but quiet and friendly pub of mainly locals. Parking is ample, the menu is simple but good value, the staff friendly and courteous, and bar prices are reasonable. Covid cleanliness is a high priority and social distancing is evident and adhered to.

Visited the Tavern for the first time today. Unable to recommend anything as we had to leave after waiting 45 minutes. We ordered 2 steak sandwiches and a chicken schnitzel. Pathetic Service. Lazy Kitchen Staff. Excuse offered. We are busy. Approximately 30 people in the bistro 7 without food. A great place for a really long lunch. We returned on 24/08/19 at insistence of Management. We ordered the Rump special and the Chicken Oscar. Both meals arrived in 20 minutes. Portions where more than adequate and my steak was cooked as requested. It was apparent that things had changed in a bit over a week. Staff were engaging and happy all requests met with a smile. If you are looking for a venue which offers a reasonably priced meal and has motivated staff. Drop in and enjoy

Great place for pokies TAB or a feed, pokies open 7 days till 4am. They have kids playground, good menu, food can be a bit pricey but specials are the ones to go for. There has been such a marked consistent awesome change in the food served from a year ago. As far as pubs go, Kallangur Tavern is one of the best. The food is reasonably priced and staff are great. It's not big like Eaton's Hill or other mega taverns, but I like that. My steak is consistently cooked every single time. I eat here quite often and we have a lot of our family birthdays here as well. Always fantastic quality and service. Will always choose KT's over other taverns and pubs in the area.

The service at the tavern was great! The food was great and everyone commented on how nice it was. We were there for a birthday party and the staff were great at accommodating our requests and even put up balloons. The kids indoor area does require some fixing up and more activities but the kids didn't seem to notice and the adults had fun on the old school arcade games.

Friends and I came here for my first day on an Australian vacation. I'd forgotten that table service restaurants are a rarity in this country so was pretty confused about ordering and even getting water, luckily I was there with local friends that guided me through the process. The food was great, we all ended up ordering steak and ribs with a pizza bread appetizer to share, but even the non-table service service left something to be desired. It took ages for our food to come out, despite the restaurant not being that busy (there was a large party near us that already received their orders and about four other tables of 2-3). When our food finally arrived, it was our mains and the pizza bread didn't come. My friend complained and they brought it out relatively quickly, but by then we weren't really hungry for it; should have just asked to have it refunded.

No eftpos or credit cards can be used at the bar. The kids club deals were not available when requested, despite being advertised on a giant poster right next to where you order.
