Wow, great ambience, food and staff! The soup was so tasty with fresh bread! The chips were crunchy and coffee was nutty, full-bodied and smooth! The staff were really welcoming and efficient! Air conditioned.

5 starts for service and welcoming staff. Food was good too. We ordered the pumpkin soup, mussels with noodles and Vegan lasagna. We sat at the first floor on a table near the window on a nice sunny afternoon. The view was pleasant. Toilets downstairs.

The service was quick and friendly. I really enjoyed the Wagu beef burger. Good for a late lunch when we found everywhere else had stopped lunch service. Dining options include outside to enjoy the weather and upstairs some tables have a bit if a view.

Quiet and peaceful on a Monday lunchtime, the inside of the Montville Cafe Bar & Grill is a gorgeous timber cottage/bar style establishment and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially with our 16mth old toddler. Meals were quite oversized and the amount of chips was certainly generous even low-balling it. My partner and I ordered the calamari and the wagyu burger and while both were nice overall, they were quite overdosed with herbs. Without the sauce the herbs were wayyy too overpowering. All in all a good experience and a nice quiet stop for lunch with a toddler. Service was fantastic.

We attended for dinner had a 3 course meal - entree of scallops they were delicious. Main was the pan seared chicken & ribs & for dessert we had the banoffee pie. We are giving a 4/5 because the dessert just wasn’t that great. It was okay, our entree and mains were full of flavour and hot. Would come back again!

Love the atmosphere here, plenty of space to dine outside and loads of shade. We had the chicken parmy and the wagyu burger and both were very generous portions and delicious. Will be coming back another time to try the calamari.

This venue is a wonderful place to visit be it lunch or dinner. It is 100% worth making a special trip for. The food is nothing short of fantastic. Great portion sizes and very flavourable meals. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. If you have any dietary requirements the kitchen staff go above and beyond to try and help cater to your needs. The staff are very attentive, polite, and friendly. They know the local area very well and are more than happy to direct you to any of the local landmarks. The restaurant is very clean, well kept, and has a very cosy vibe. On weekends they have live music in the evenings. In winter there is a beautiful fireplace that provides warmth the entire place. In summer the entire restaurant is air-conditioned to provide comfort while dining. Both of the outdoor seating and upstairs dining area provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys as well as some ocean views.

We regularly make our way to Montville Bar & Grill for the Calamari it’s brilliant. Live music on a weekend. We just recently went up for New Years Eve. My husband and I had steaks they where cooked perfectly. Oysters kilpatrick Yumm. Service was friendly and quick. Never disappoints.

Been eating here for years, I have found it to be always consistently good - their ribs are amazing and their signature red wine jus with steak is bold and to die for. Great for dining or a Sunday lunch with some live music in the outdoor garden seating. Top spot located at the quiet end if town. Parking is excellent and the food is fantastic. They have music Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday afternoon sessions. There is a beer garden on the side. Upstairs has a little balcony and more room for dining. The views upstairs is very nice and you get a breeze blowing in while enjoying the view and your nice cold beverage.

Lovely local cafe! We sat by the fireplace and ordered beer battered fish and herb chips. It was so delicious - I wouldn't have shared it with my partner had I known how delicious it was going to be. The batter was very light and very crispy and the chips were seasoned to perfection.

Dinner here is worth every cent you spend. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Food is absolutely delicious and you will not leave hungry. If you a passing through or staying at one of the great cabins in the area then stop in and grab dinner.

Today I stopped in with my children for lunch. Wow, honestly the best chicken parmigiana I’ve ever had. Absolutely beautiful and tender. And a big serving also And it was actually rather busy, but our food was made quickly, from ordering till the food was in front of us was only 15mins. How awesome is that. I always have a good time at Montville Cafe Bar and Grill. Admittedly, I have the same meal each time, so I can't comment on too much on the mains, but the calamari is absolutely delicious. The staff are always friendly and food is always served promptly. The garden area is a lovely place to eat, and there's usually live music on the weekend which makes it more enjoyable.

Great service, lovely old school country pub vibe. Decent menu but the veg and lentil cottage pie was bland and watery with barely any lentils and mainly all potato. Considering it's basically same price as a meat meal, it was not great value or memorable flavours at all. The Xmas in July roast turkey and ham came with no green veg except a small desert spoon of mushy peas and another slice of meat would also not have gone astray. The scallops entree was really nice. A little bit more attention to balancing the meals in regards to flavour and protein portions would make this place worth re-visiting.

Great venue, great position in Montville, but overpriced for what it is. Limited menu, particularly if you're a vegetarian. At the bar, they were "out of" the first two red wines I asked for and the young barman didn't seem overly concerned about it. We love this place! Meals and service are consistently good. Doesn't matter where you sit - out in the beer garden or inside next the fire - the vibe is always great. Kid friendly with bubbles and colouring in packs. Live music on weekends. Exposed beams, wood burners and beer soaked carpets remind me of the best country pubs in UK. Feel very fortunate this place is just 15 mins up the road.

Nice pub grub. We had the parma and steak & Guinness pie (specials menu) - couldn’t fault either of them. Food was quick despite ordering at a busy time. Plenty of seating outside although not all of it is protected from the sun so choose your spot wisely as it can get hot if/when the sun comes out. Live music at lunch time made for a nice ambiance.

They were suppose to be aged and grass fed but my husband (who is a fantastic and experienced bbquer and I are uncertain if they were either. Mashed potatoes were mediocre at the most. I went there tonight with my wife, they made room for us as we had not booked, the place was completely packed with customers, the staff were friendly and accommodating, we sat down and ordered and the service was so fast that we had our drinks and entrée before we knew it, we actually thought they had come to the wrong table it was that fast, then our main arrived minutes after we finished our entrée, the food was cooked with love and perfection, all I can say is don't change what you are doing because we loved it ;) PS. With the ribs the sauce was plenty and the meat just fell off the bone, the sauce was like a honey bbq too which just went Soo well

This is our third trip to Montville in 6 years and we have had exceptional food and service every time we have eaten here. We had dinner here last night, my husband had the rib eye steak, cooked to perfection and I gave the MASSIVE serve of ribs my very best effort. They were good, really good. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much that we ditched the idea of going fancy for our wedding anniversary and headed back to the pub tonight. Instead of ordering mains we decided to order a few entrees and share them. We started with Oysters Kilpatrick, this was the ultimate test because these are one of the things I make at home that my husband counts as a favourite. They were very good, I would happily order them again. Next we had the scallops on chorizo with pea puree, definitely the stand out dish of the night. The pork belly was next on our list and it was quite surprising. The flavours were great but a crispy skin would have made it heavenly. We finished with the calamari, we were full but it was perfectly done so we just kept eating. We left stuffed and happy, just as we have on previous occasions. I would highly recommend it.

The steaks were cooked to perfection the potato (sort of like a mash salad potato-can't remember what they call it- so yummy). We both left very satisfied. Definitely recommend!

Only downside today was that the waiter had a nibble on our chips while having loops in the courtyard looking out for us while we were sitting inside and watching him. We will be back anyways, but maybe you can whip up a bowl of chips for your staff every now and then!

I was here for dinner, the staff greated us as soon as we walked in the door and maintained a high level of service all night. The food itself was extremely quick to come out. The majority of the menu was large hearty dishes that packed a lot of flavour. Some dishes had strange vegetable combinations but overall it was very good. The atmosphere of the restraunt was also very relaxing. Another good feature is that this restauraunt offers a free shuttle bus. I would definitely recommend this restauraunt.

A beautiful pub with a cosy feel inside. There is also plenty of space to sit outside with gas heaters provided on those cold winter days. The wedding reception was held upstairs and is an excellent position to hold any reception. There is a large variety of dishes and they were all delicious from the feedback of the guests. Perhaps the most notable part was the first class friendly service provided by the staff. You could tell that they went above and beyond to provide a good experience for their patrons.

We were searching for a place to have lunch after visiting Lake Baroon and Kondadilla Falls. The owner was walking up and down on the pavement outside his restaurant and he convinced us to have lunch there. Would recommend Montville Bar and Grill as family friendly place with great food, live music and friendly ambience. The Guinness was not bad as well
