Awesome experience, if you luv your Blues and Roots music. It's a historic 150 year old Hotel. Hidden gem of Blues and Roots music in the South East on the weekends. I luv it. The only venue in Australia to be awarded the International Keeping The Blues Alive Award from the Blues Foundation in TN USA. And the locals give it that great welcoming vibe. Awesome music. Awesome people. Awesome food.

This is one of the last traditional Australian pubs. I hope the new owners don't "tidy it up" too much. If I had the cash and bought it I'd pretty much let the current staff run it.

This old pub is like being way out in the country without actually being way out in the country. Lady behind the bar was very friendly. A lot of interesting things to look at. Dog friendly out the back in the garden bar. Garden bar could do with a make over.

After so many years walking Chockie, Levarna and my own dog Sabbie the White Maremma, Andrew doesn't allow dogs to sit out the front of the Pub on a Thursday Afternoon anymore which I was quite sad and disappointed but unfortunately because it was great days when we allowed to have our dogs there before sitting out the front with us listening to the live bands. They changed the rules just before I arrived in Goodna in August this year (2019), about having dogs sitting out the front of the patio on Thursday's sadly. Everyone used to love Sabbie and gave him a pat when I used to bring him in before to The Royal Mail on a Thursday or Friday afternoon when I was in Goodna late last year in 2018 at Christmas Time. I travel to Goodna all the way from Batemans Bay NSW 1200 kms to enjoy the Blues Bands and Good Old School Music.

Initially I felt a little worried walking into this place.. It's the kind of pub that you think you will either get stabbed or have a great time. Don't worry... I can confirm that you will have a great time. You can definitely tell that the people that come here will look after you, even if they don't know who you are. It's a great pub that is ridiculously under rated. The characters here are so genuine, beautiful and honest, it's refreshing. If you want a night of fake laughs, fake friends and fake music, then don't come here!

The Royal mail Hotel is a great little quiet pub situated at the back of Goodna. My eldest daughter loved coming with me and her dad so she could stand behind the Harley's when they started. A great family friendly place to relax and have a couple of coldies

The Royal Mail has to be the best pub in Brisbane. It is spacest, overly Friendly, affordable, very entertaining all the time with many bands performing to create a fantastic feel good atmosphere. Not to forget to mention the fantastic quality and taste of the kitchen goodies that go down well with your beverage of choice no matter what tickles your fancy. A+++, on food everytime. They mix up the menu also. Thank you Royal Mail. You have lovely staff who care so much and it shows. The glorious outside areas are as comfortable as the inside cosiness, you can really forget where you are. They remain raw, organic, historical and colonial. This place is down right cool as has been for a long time. You just got to check it out. Very welcoming. I'm usually a Saturday lunch patron and do wish to venture to the Mail at other times during the week which is on top of the must do list. They advertise what's happening often so you'll never miss out. Every experience is a different one. Always better than the last. You'll never lose. Trust me. Order a a bowl of chips and you'll find out. Delicious. The Royal Mail is a wonderful secret amongst the stars. Make sure you to keep in on the down low so you to enjoy the magical heat. The amazing friends I've made are genuine and real. Such keepers I say and we make many more. It's unreal. A true treasure the Royal Mail. Totally love time spent there. I've been a regular for roughly 5 years. The beautiful heritage trees, gorgeous cars to admire not to forget hot sounds of motorbikes coming and going. Such character all around. Now how awesome.
