I am not someone who complains, in fact as a rule I only share positive feedback and chalk mishaps up to chance. However, my experience today at the Stock Exchange Hotel, Brisbane – was nothing short of deplorable. I booked a specific table for a colleague’s 50th Birthday celebration. A simple request I thought. I also followed it up with a call to make sure we were good to go. Upon arrival, the team (while suitably kind) were unsure of our booking and shared “oops sorry, must have forgot to reserve the tables today, but you should be right”. Should was a concern, it should have been my crucial red flag. Other highlights included flat soft drinks and staff walking around in a genuinely confused state to multiple tables with our food before making it to us. In one example (the final plate that came 15 minutes after the others) two team members where chatting while holding said plate. I got up to wave them over to close out this fiasco. Not earth shattering, but still – if you’re going to charge these prices, it would be good to elevate the service element.

After a year on dialysis. (And ofcourse not being able to drink.) So glad I chose this place just a few blocks walk from my pad. Super glad I chose this one for my first quiet one. Downstairs well layed back! Beautiful views from upstairs area! Smoking and non smoking!! Nick! Nice to see such a hard working, lovely and reliable human, working such a nice venue! Everytime I wanted to say hello when I seen himI got a phone call!. But honestly what a legend! (10years experience myself. Most of which was management.) This guy has an absolute perfect balance between professionalism, safe service and a bar tender you can really comfortably yarn to! Yarn ofcourse within appropriate time management between delivery of main service etc at all given times. Legend. And Again beautiful, clean and tidy venue!

Anytime we go out for a work lunch, it's usually "Stockies". Either because the upstairs section is a vibe and lower section is good for sport. The staff are really lovely at the entrance. Regarding food, the schnitzel and beef burgers are really great.

Had lunch here with my team from work today. We booked a table for 14 downstairs, but when we got there someone had taken our booking and table. The staff very quickly prepared another table for us and were very helpful. The steak was very good for the price, and the meals came out nice and quick which is rare on a Friday lunch time in the city. There is a reason my team likes to go here often! Definitely recommend.

I had my 21st at the stock exchange on Saturday night (8/12) and it was awesome. The room and private bar were a perfect size and the bar staff and waitresses were amazing! Thank you to Jamie for helping us organise a great night, his customer service and his ability to go above and beyond to help us was fantastic! The food for canapes and dinner was also very tasty. Thank for an amazing experience, I would definitely recommend stockies for an event space in the future.

We never came before the renovation but the rooftop is pleasant now. Fairy lights and the lights of the surrounding city towers. The building is only 2 story so don't expect grand city views but on a nice Brisbane evening it's a good spot for a drink and a fair priced pub meal. Portions are generous.

It can get pretty rowdy over the weekend, but their large smoking area offers a bit of breathing room away from the crowds. Went to the stock exchange for Trivia Night 90s. A great event organised well and with a great crew rubbing it. Drinks were on point and the place was clean and tidy. I highly recommend using the stock exchange for events as they are reasonably priced and offer a great service with food and drinks packages.

when it's extremely full, it's too stuffy and can't really dance because everyone constantly pushes past you. You can just stand and do nothing on the indoor dance floor and you'll sweat like a pig. Queuing was almost 2hrs. But very lively atmosphere.

The food here is absolutely brutal. The lunch time steak special was awful. I decided to give it another go and pay extra money for the normal steak meal - steak was still awful. The burgers are terrible and the gnocchi was just so bad. The only thing that tastes anyway 'okay' is the chicken parmy but you cant really go wrong with a parmy. If you havent been to here already just do it. You might be surprised. The best part is a little room upstairs next to the bar which is open some nights after a certain time that exclusively plays doof-doof. Highly recommended place to stop over to chill for a bit when heading off to a new club.
