This is a large, airy and super comfy place with masses of tables in various different dining areas, inside and outside. We had taken the precaution of booking ahead for a Thursday night, but it wasn’t necessary, as there was plenty of space available. That’s not to say that it was empty though, far from it, there was a decent turnout, but being so big, there’s room for everyone who wants to dine here. The decor is colourful and bright with maritime and sporty themes. There are high tables and bar stools, wooden floors, a large bar counter and ample strong lighting. It all works well to create a cheerful and welcoming space that’s warm and homely. It’s the kind of place that, the moment you walk into, you feel at ease and relaxed, and we enjoyed dining here. Being a Thursday, the special of the day was the chicken parmigiana and a drink (beer or wine) for a reasonable $25. My wife and I dined, we availed ourselves of this offer and we weren’t disappointed. And in a nice touch, a pretty waitress with a mask came to our table and offered to take our order. That was handy, as it meant that we didn’t have to go up to the bar counter ourselves and wait around to place our order. It was all done extremely efficiently, and our waitress was friendly and polite. Drinks and meals came out quickly and in the correct order. Fast and efficient service is the hallmark of a professionally run establishment and full marks to the Paddo because they excelled at that. But one can tell that the guys who run this place know what they’re about, because it hums like a well oiled machine. All the staff are professional in their attitude, neatly attired, polite and hardworking. It’s a pleasure to dine in such a place. Our chicken “parmies” as they call them, were fresh and tasty dishes and we both enjoyed our meals. The chicken was tender and succulent, cooked in a crispy batter, and covered with lashings of cheese, topped with ham and served with a nice dollop of wholesome salad and crunchy chips. A delicious meal, and a decent serving size too. You’ll never leave here hungry. The only thing that I wasn't mad about was the camp-style tin plates, mine slightly chipped as well.I prefer regular porcelain crockery, tin plates don’t turn me on. Toilets are in the corner, there are adequate male and female cubicles, but the 1980s hand dryer in the gents could probably do with an upgrade! We found easy parking just behind the Paddo in nearby Campbell Street, where there didn’t appear to be any after-hours restrictions. Altogether, a fab night at the Paddo, with a relaxed, casual and laid back atmosphere, excellent food and fast, friendly service. Making a booking was easy via their website. We received immediate confirmation via email and a reminder the day before.

Excellent service We were a party of 7 adults and one baby when we walked into the Paddo today, 15 minutes before their lunch service opened. They found us a really lovely large table that had room to park the pram and walker. Nothing was too much trouble. Drinks served quickly, orders taken and then lunches delivered 10 minutes later, including preparing a special meal for the vegan in our party. Did I say, nothing was too much trouble? And to top it all off the food was delicious. Thank you to the lovely staff today at the Paddo.

Will give you ONE more chance, Paddo. 15$ lunch special super difficult to turn up! Now, listen, dunno if your chef was hungover or wut, but both the steak and chips hadn't been seasoned. You did kindly give us extra salt, but that simply doesn't cut the mustard compared to seasoning food in the kitchen! Season your meals and you'll get ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Relaxed Island style with holiday vibe. A true surprise for a city pub/bar. The 3 litre Mojito was incredible value.... so good I don't remember what we paid for it but it was sub $40!!!!! Staff were super friendly and very helpful with my questions about what's going on in Brisbane. This place must get busy in the evenings with drinks as pictured.... really looking forward to getting back there for a other lazy day.

Good food. We came here for Wednesday night trivia which while entertaining was definitely tuned for a younger crowd. It's a nice upmarket pub with good food, service and facilities. Pool tables are available and a number of activities are available throughout the week, including trivia and comedy club. The place is fairly busy but service is quite quick despite this.

Really great big venue the Paddo!!! It has lots of different areas with different vibes and different feels. You can usually find a hangout within this really large Tavern that suits a group you are with or individuals. There are tables and high stools and bar stools and different areas. Also places out by the road to watch the goings, or under trees, more secluded places, indoors with air-con eccetera . The menu is pretty boring except for the pork knuckle. An amazing large meal that feeds at least two people ($30).!! Give it a try. Everything else is just pizzas, burgers, steaks, pasta, sime fish and parmigiani... the usual boring pub grub. The are lists ...one for bottled only wine and another one for wines by the glass- large and small, which also can be purchased by the bottle. The food comes out quickly and probably and is of a good standard although usually lacking in Greens and salads and sides despite listing them as a specific part of the meal in the menu. It is a convenient place for a meet up and meal as the is free onsite parking and street parking. Unfortunately they close their coffee machine down early. Our finish to the night was spoilt by staff being rude and very obnoxious when requesting dessert and coffee after our meal. No excuse for this from anyone at anytime.

Very friendly & attentive service from the staff, The Paddo is a very large venue with plenty of seating, both indoors or alfresco, perfect for dining with large groups of friends or drinks with work colleagues. I can highly recommend the spicy chicken wings with blue cheese sauce. Available in 3 sizes (we chose 18 which was perfect for 2)with a tasty selection of sauces, the bbq & lime was also fab!

Meals were ok, nachos pretty ordinary, and when bar ordered and put through a main size instead of requested entree size, she wouldn’t fix the error and it wasn’t worth arguing. Nice outdoor seating area, dog friendly which is a big plus in my books, food is pretty good, have been a few times. The only thing I don't recommend is the pizza, it was terrible actually, very sloppy and doughy base, I couldn't eat it before it was disintegrating. I think the wrong type of dough, it was literally turning back into dough on my plate, it was not equipped to deal with toppings, worst pizza I've had in ages. Other than the terrible pizza I really like this place and go semi regularly. No hard feelings but please for the love of pizza sort out a new base!

I had to travel from Bowen Hills to the Paddo and public transport was very straight forward and my bus stopped an easy 100m walk down hill. Not a massive menu but all the pub staples were present and I grabbed a steak sandwich and chips before a show at the Sit Down Comedy Club. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was a little slow but the steak sandwich was nice. The whole experience was good and if I'm hankering for a relaxed no frills pub meal, I'd be thinking of the Paddo.

Me and my other half are new to the area and this is now our 'local' It's quite a young crowd in there on the weekend who can be a bit lively, but for me that creates a fun atmosphere rather than the dreariness of other places around *the Caxton* Beers reasonable prices and lots of deals are on offer (happy hour, jugs etc) We have eaten there once and it was okay-slightly pricey for what you get. But again there are heaps of offers to take advantage of. Sports, music, pool tables, decent outside area....what more could you ask for. Only reason it's 4 is there have been some quite rude staff members in the past, however the last couple of weeks there have been some super lovely staff members...keep those ones please!!

We came in this evening for dinner and karaoke. The meal was fantastic and 2 for 1 made it great value. Drinks were another story - very pricey which was a bit of a turn off. Peter & Billee were as brilliant as ever with the Karaoke, but unfortunately there just wasn't a big crowd in house tonight to really get the quality atmosphere of years earlier. Perhaps reasonable drink prices might draw the crowds back in.

It's a large venue that has multiple spaces and a pretty good range of beers on tap. All of the big standard drops alongside some decent craft brew options. The food is your usual pub fare and there is a choice of bar snacks and sit down meals in the cavernous restaurant space. Pool tables and pokies round out this rather soulless pub. It's one saving grace is it's large beer garden that is rather a nice place to sit and drink.

Attended the official launch of the Paddington Heritage Trail booklet by Judy Magub and Rotary Club of Paddington attended by Cr Peter Matic and Michael Berkmann. Nice conference room with great old world library charm. Friendly staff who even remembered who got my coffee order spot on. Highly recommend as a venue for functions.

Steak was wrong and over cooked. Taps in men’s toilet are busted and there is bugger all soap. Great looking venue, seems friendly and inviting with the crowd that were around during the rugby. Will go back but may have dinner at a better venue.

Tuesday night and i was surprised at how few people there were.I had the Seafood Tagliatelle. It was great, awesome. 10/10. The in-house pasta was perfect, the scallops magnificent and the bugs - what a great surprise.The only comment I can make is that I love calamari and would love to see what the chefs would do with it in this meal. I could have this meal every night of the week.My friend had a steak which looked perfect.Beautifully cooked, well presented 10/10. I love White Rabbit Dark Ale and had that with the meal - maybe a kiwi white would have been better. But I will be telling friends and family about this meal. Thank you, Paddo. We will see you again very soon.

Staff where really amazing very accommodating. We really just wanted chicken Parmy, and hearing through the grapevine you guy's apparently have the best. Well at $27.00 a pop I was expecting something really special, having travelled 50 mins from Cleveland....it was what it was, a regular chicken parmy. But at 27 bucks I think its hugely over priced for what you got served on a tin plate, very boring side salad the sauce was straight out if a tin. I'm a chef of 25 years and the schnitzel at the Schnit Haus in Capalaba are so much better and cheaper. Sorry guys you are another Pub that is selling food at restaurant prices without any wow factor.😒😔

Restaurant, outdoor spaces, pool tables scattered throughout, pokie room, still has a couple of saddles around to sit on, used to be a cowboy theme with cowgirls as barmaids. Old pub that's getting a little tired but still a great place for a get together and a drink.

Although the staff are looking for a way to serve the best possible/ cheapest drink. It's a great atmosphere, and I would recommend a night of sit down comedy and drinks to anyone.

We have been coming here for over a year now and it's always a positive experience. They cater to our excessively picky requirements with a smile and are always spot on. We are even rememberef by staff which is remarkable in such a busy establishment, although being lesbians who want their meet cooked to within an inch of it's life and return weekly probably helps. My partners pork belly was hard and the sprouts were hard rock. Came here for the comedy show and that was a + Overall there meals weren't that good. First time visit to The Sit Down Comedy Club. Rude, Crude & Impolite - I LOVED it and had the best laughs. Love the venue. Was able to get a car park on site 30 mins before doors opened. Be prepared to pay more for drinks than what you might find at your "local" pub or hotel. That said, TSDC had fantastic Friday night pizza & pint deal for $20 which was perfect for me as designated driver.

Large pub with in-house restaurant down one end. Underground and street parking. Sit down comedy club downstairs from the bars. Staff are always happy and friendly, and meals are brought to your table (you get a number, not a buzzer) so you don't have to leave your drink unattended. They have a large undercover alfresco area out front but it's for smokers so you can't eat out there, unless you go right down the other end (punishment for wanting fresh air i guess...lol) Large area inside (aircon) with pool tables, big screen TVs, lounges, pokies etc.

It's not a bad place, but the drink pricing is absurd. $12-13 pints of beer you can get elsewhere for almost a literal half the price. Normal tap beer too. So if you're keen on beer, do yourself a favour and go to somewhere nicer with a better range and save bulk $$.

The Paddo used to be my local a million years ago. Stopped in tonight to wait for traffic to subside and was pleasantly rewarded. Staff were 10/10, friendly, efficient, unpretentious; well-trained I would say. Ambiance a good 8/10 and spotlessly clean. I had a Parma chicken dish; a generous helping and good honest fare 8/10, but my partners pizza was a barely average 5/10, a lifeless, unexciting thing. Pricing was fair, and overall, yes, I would go there again. Oh yes, some great beer on tap, right temperature, clean lines and good glasses 10/10.

Recent reno, quire modern. Has good meals, and in particular very reasonably priced counter meals (below $10). Awesome city views, large air conditions rooms. Lots of pool tables. Can be busy when suncorp events are on, and best avoided as you wont be able to park as carpark will be full, and only 15 minute on street parking everywhere during event days. ($100 council fine otherwise). Has limited parking onsite with a very poorly designed and very tight multi story car park, best suited to medium and small cars. Attractive friendly staff. Has nice restaurant section, but meals more expensive there. Great quiet place to chill when no events are on as very relaxed.

Ah, the Paddo. I end up here a lot as it's my local, but it's the closest to a generic suburban sports pub that you'll find in Paddington. It's a good place to drink before a game at suncorp, and to watch a game on TV. The patio's nice, the food quite good (I had a great vegetarian dish a while back). However, atmosphere is lacking, the cover bands are pretty terrible, and beer is way overpriced, at least on a game night.
