Enjoy coming here and checking out the beers on tap which are ever changing. The wings are great, but some of the other food can be a bit hit and miss. Got sliders once on charcoal buns which were so dry they fell apart when picked up. They are also dog friendly When we visited the guy behind the bar got a bowl of water for our pup and even put ice in it because it was such a hot day.

I find my favourite fried chicken wings here, you definitely need to have a try especially if you don’t like oily chicken wings like me(it is not battered). For wings here, I can eat a lot at one time. It is also famous for its beers, people there is very nice to introduce their beers for you based on your preferences. Very nice place to chill out with your friends. There are even three “cottages” for private conversion as well. Love it!

Interesting and tasty pub food, including a vegan menu. The vegan cheeseburger is highly recommended. There's also plenty of variety in beer if you're a beer drinker. There's booth seating or you can sit out on the pavement to enjoy the breeze.

First of all, I have to say that this place probably has the best vegetarian & VEGAN options in Southbank! A sizeable vegetarian section on their menu all available with vegan cheese if desired. Customer ervice was very nice, we visited at lunchtime on Thursday (today) and it wasn't busy so service was very fast. Lastly, food was great - good seasoned chips and the vegan cheese, if you're interested seemed to be a mozerella style 🙂

Amazing range of craft beers, delicious food, and wonderful staff and service. The pork ribs were cooked perfectly, and the portion size was generous. There are also various food promotions specific to the day of the week, so definitely worth dropping in on different days. Absolutely loved the beers, especially the IPA - although at 8%, a pint will certainly make an interesting start to the night. Will be back next time I'm in Brisbane!

Awesome vegan menu section for the veggos out there! Their Chick'n burger was sold out (got me pretty devo) when I we there but will definitely give it another try. Pros: - nice atmosphere. Good location. - menu for veggos. - LOADED FRIES! - food taste good. Cons: - Cheese burger patty was extremely mooshy and sticky. - food texture needs work.

Quirky little bar oozing with swank! Some incredible rotating one-of-a-kind craft beers offered on tap and you won’t want to leave til you try them all! Love that the beer is served in tulip glasses for schooners. Cosy inside, modern set-up outside, convenient location, street parking available, hard-working staff, great menu, chilled vibe, reasonably priced and clean. I like that your night doesn’t have to end at Tippler’s and you can buy a cheeky 6 pack to take home with you!

The location of this bar is great with many unique beers on offer there's going to be something for everyone.

This is my go-to place in South Brisbane with a party of five to six. The staff members here are always friendly, and they never judge you for ordering three baskets of chicken wings with blue cheese sauce and two sets of cheeseburger sliders, even when you are dining with a small party of three. They offer a good variety of food and beverages that are both affordable and homey to the taste.

A great beer bar with a constantly changing roster of ales, pilsners, lagers & other craft goodies. Usually a cider in the menu too, and basic spirits / wine available if you really want it. Food is nice, and every (week)day a different menu item is the special, so you can get a cheap dinner and have more money left to try more beers! Staff are friendly and will give genuine insights as to what beers they think are best or most interesting at the time, not necessarily the priciest or the weirdest. A good place to chill out with friends or just on your lonesome if you have to wait for someone/something around Southbank; try a new beer or two et voila your wait is over! ///afterthought/// Also the food is great if you are or are with someone who is vegan/vegetarian/lactose intolerant.

Upon entering the Tippler's Gates, a shield maiden with the golden locks of Freya and eyes of the great wolf, Fenrir, took me to a table where she ensured that my drinking horn was forever full of the finest mead that had surely been brewed by the dwarfs of Niðavellir and my belly was full of the finest deer, which I am to understand was hunted in a nearby forest by herself and her Frost Giant husband. Super fun bar with a delicious selection of craft beers which look like they're on constant rotation. The staff look like they're having a ball and they're very welcoming, accommodating and fun to chat to. If I was to go back to bar work I'd love to work at a place like this. Also they have good food! The menu is largely American inspired with tasty (and affordable) mini sliders, hot dogs and some guilt-inducing onion rings. Tip: The watermelon beer is probably better than the beetroot one.

Loved the beer range, the taster plate was excellent value and the staff were knowledgeable. The food was tasty, and in large portions. The service was slow though, the staff said only one chef was on duty and he was swamped, which seems unusual for a school holiday period. They were very good about making up for slow service with extra food and very apologetic. Would definitely go again.

Great for vegans! They have a good range of mock meat meals, their Vegan Cheese Burger is way better than the one from Grill'd. Much more crispier and fresh. Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable but they don't come with side dishes such as fries. Seating can be hard to find on a busy night so if you're going with a group / want to seat separate from other people come early or try and reserve a space.

Ratings on beer is 5/5 for the many times I have visited. Awesome selection and service. I have a gripe tonight though, you always give a sample if asked... Not tonight; please, even if the beer is more expensive due to brewing proceses--allow that sample. You have people coming that will pay the price for an expensive beer but not if we cant taste it first. Ok the food. Below ordinary on the sliders we had tonight. Bread super dry, filling lackluster, lacking flavour. Thankfully the beer was excellent.

They had a pretty good beer selection and my husband liked the Chicago chicken burger (he's from Chicago, so it still wasn't Chicago enough for him, but he still said it was good.) The fries were perfect. I was thoroughly disappointed with the vegan food, however. I was excited for the $3 vegan taco Tuesday deal, but it was the most underwhelming vegan taco of my life. I would much rather get the $5 vegan tacos on tuesdays at greenhouse or cheeky poke. Honestly the tacos I make at home are 1000% better. I was really excited for a real American style vegan chili dog, but it was the most bland chili I have ever had. It was definitely not worth the money. The bun and the dog itself were pretty good, so maybe the vegan Chicago dog would be good?

I love a great craft beer pub, and Tippler’s ticks a lot of boxes. The atmosphere is rich in character, with lots of timber and warm lighting. The food is well priced, and there is a broad selection of vegan and omnivore options. The beer selection gets rotated frequently, so there is always something new on tap. My experience has been the two selection is usually a little hop heavy, with only one or two dark beers on tap. But for lovers of Sours, Gose, Saison’s you’ll be pleased to know there is usually always something on tap for you in between the array of NEIPA’s and DIPA’s.

My husband and I went on a Friday night. The food was alright but when we first arrived we didn't know if it was table service or not and the staff just kept walking by us with their heads down so it was a bit awkward. We sat down eventually and found a menu. The food came pretty quickly. I had the chicken burger, which the patty was double the size of the bun which looks cool but was so messy to eat.. My partner got the beef burger and it was nearly rare, he likes his beef burgers medium but this one was a little too under cooked and the very middle was inedible. I think because it was so busy there they may have taken the patty off a little too early. Overall it was okay, I'd go back but probably at a quieter time.

The beer selection has dwindled here in recent years. They seem to lack a good staple of easy drinking taps, they're leaning more to weird and obscure with some of their selection. Was disappointed that they were not following seasonal trends such as having some darker maltier beers for the cooler temperatures, and on a Friday night their fridge was half empty so the can selection wasn't even that great either. Do better tipplers!

Friendly staff. The beer I had was yum. The Chicago Dog was tasty and fresh. Lighter style hot dog which was a refreshing change. Wings are good size and taste great. Half serving is kind of ample for one person. So only get the full serving if you are going to share. Could even do for three people as a snack over a cold bevvie. I didn't like the sauce that came with it. Ask to swap to the Aoli.

Where else in Brisbane, nay, even Australia can you get a Kilo of wings for $12. The quality has always been pretty consistent over the years but has been rock solid as of late; Trust me, I eat a tonne of these things. Several Rare bottles on the shelves and always a nice little lager, pale and a cider for those who just want something refreshing.

Look i got this on deliveroo after hearing raaaaave reviews about the vegan cheeseburger, and i honestly have to say it was really really bad. probably one of the worst burgers i’ve had. I know it does come down to personal taste. But l would never recommend this to a non vegan person because it gives in to the stereotype that you can’t do vegan cheeseburgers. I just found every element of the burger over-powering, dry, sickening and extremely artificial. The patty was just.. so fake and not meaty in the slightest. It tasted like chemicals and i felt awful agger. The two stars are for the delicious chips and onion rings. They were great! I also added a star because i haven’t physically been to the place to experience the service, beers and stuff. This is simply a review on the food.

Has a wonderful and varied selection of high quality craft beers beer. The bar-staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and let me sample before I made a selection. The food was delivered in perfect timing (not too quickly that you feel rushed, but not too long that you start wondering where it is). I tried the chicken wings with blue cheese sauce - they were quite nice (wings had lots of meat and weren't too oily), but I found the blue cheese sauce to be rather thin and lackluster. I also tried the pork slider, beef slider and haloumi slider - all were extremely tasty, and each has a very distinctive flavour. Even if you are a hard-core meat-eater, I highly recommend the haloumi slider!

Tippler's Tap has a decent selection of on tap beer and cans, from a variety of brewerys. A good place along the main strip of South Bank to sit and enjoy a beer and some lunch with mates. During my visit I tried their chilli dog which did not have quite the spicy punch I had hoped from the chilli, but was full of flavour regardless, and a glass of the Tippler's Pilsner which was delightful and I'm sure would pair well with anything on the menu. I've been told to try the wings, so the next time I find myself in South Bank feeling a little parched I'll be sure to drop in and have a go.

Small selection of craft beers on tap. Hit and miss for my taste but partner usually finds one he likes. Food is always good if a little expensive but not unexpectedly for the location. Great place to drop in with a couple of friends and if have more than a couple you can reserve ahead.

My girlfriend and I were extremely impressed by the vegan range! It's becoming a routine date to get the 'Chicken' Burger with a small side of chips and vegan aioli. There is a small choice of seating, however their customer service and food definitely makes it worth it.

Tipples Tap is one of my favourite places to visit when I'm in Brisbane. A constantly rotating selection of craft beer from micro-breweries means there is always something new to try. Add to that a range of super tasty but reasonably priced food (love the chilli fries) makes this a destination not to be missed.

I had the Vego chilli cheese fries. It is the only meal I have tasted. I didn't find it very tasty, the cheese wasn't melted so it was quite oily, and it was really chip heavy with not much chilli at all, I found myself adding hot sauce for flavour. I am sure their other meals are good.

Unfortunately I feel as though the quality of Tippler's Tap has dropped since it closed down at Newstead, but it's still a really fantastic place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. I would recommend getting the tray of four sliders so you can sample them all. The rueben slider is exceptional.

Went for a late dinner i had a slider and the chilli fries. The slider bun was cold which was disappointing. The beef patty was a little thin but the cold bun affected the taste more. The chilli was good, it had a bit of heat (not immediate more of a lingering burn). The cheese on the fries had not melted. Overall not bad but not amazing.
