The sign out the front says new manager, new hours, inside is warm and inviting. Best of all, they have a great young chef who is turning out some great quick meals, perfect with a beer for lunch and dinner. We tried the chicken schnitzel roll ($16 with chips and salad ) and the pulled pork roll ($16 also). Really nice and a great price. We were told later that the pulled pork starts life as the pork knuckle, which could explain why it’s so good. Whole place needs a bit of modernising but I understand that’s on the way too. Well worth a try.

Went to the club last Friday for after work drinks - the place was buzzing. Felt homely by being greeted upon entry to the club, friendly bar staff and a lot of excitement when a lucky guy won close to $8,000 in the joker(?) draw. Pork schniti was good but a bit chunky. Will be back.

A great venue for social ballroom dancing once a month. Also blues concerts.

Attended here for the blues music (great band!) and ate as well- the pork knuckles and bread dumplings were outstanding! Highly recommended.

I like the kinda awkward vibe here. I do wish the decoration in the restaurant was softer, like the checkered table cloths they had a year or so ago were fantastic! The new owners seem enthusiastic, and I wish them well. The food is good, though I reckon it could be amazing and be the-place-to-go for schnitzels, just needs a bit of a softer touch.

Basic, authentic Austrian fare, well prepared and tasty. Some nice European beers available too. I was there in a group of eight. All our meals came out at once, which was great.
