Yes! This is a great place, simple as that really. Nice big airy place for a beer. And what a great selection of beer. Loads of space inside, outside and somewhere in between to plonk yourself down for a few beers. A food truck run by a separate company can be found inside, great burgers from there. Nice staff, quick service. Parking not far away.

Great beer, amazing brewery! Capital Brewing Co do a fine job at crafting some of the best brews in Australia, and their brewery perfectly showcases this to the public. Their selection of beers is top notch with several specials on the board to try new flavours on each visit, the space is lovely with an exceptional beer garden to chill and enjoy the beers in company and delicious food supplied by Brod Burger. Without a doubt, one of the best breweries in the country.

An awesome place to hang out, eat Brod Burger and drink Coasties. I love how people bring laidback dogs and kids to lounge around at the outdoor spaces. Inside there is more seating. Recommend booking if you want a table, sometimes it’s like all of Canberra is here. Brod do a vegan burger. Fingers crossed Capital do n alcohol free beer soon.

I've been here a few times and have heard a lot of people highly rate and the burgers and drinks. After my recent experience, I have to say, they are onto something. The burgers are tasty, well portioned for the price and not too greasy. There is also a good range of alcoholic drinks including beers, ciders and wines. The working brewery in the background is a nice touch. I also liked the wood fire. It was cold and rainy outside - but toasty warm inside. 5/5. Would come again.

Came for a burger and drink whilst on holidays in December. A very popular spot. Easy to see why. Burgers are awesome but massive. Coast Ale is outstanding. I’m actually not a massive beer drinker but really enjoyed that one. Only issue for me is Coast Ale is very hard to find in Melbourne.

This is my new favourite bar to visit in Canberra as it has great atmosphere unique beer and cider and some of the best food around . Phenomenal brewery! Had the tasting platter which gives you four selections. All four beers were great. The rock hopper IPA was superb!

Great, relaxing atmosphere and amazing food! The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of shaded outdoor, and indoor, seating and dogs are welcome. The burgers are amazing - the Capital burger was possibly the best burger I’ve ever had, and my new favourite BrodBurger. There was a short wait for our burgers but it is worth it for such nice food; plus they’re making it all out of a caravan! I am a non-drinker and did not feel out of place at all, there are soft drinks available at both BrodBurger and the bar.

Well - this place is basically a double threat! Anyone who eats burgers in Canberra should know Brodburger. Anyone in Canberra who drinks local beer will know Capital Brewing. So how do you make them both better? Stick them under the same roof!!! Genius. The beers are great. Decent list to choose from - from the darker heavies through the floral IPAs and then the lighter pilsener. And then there are the burgers! These are just plain great. I've tried the default Brodburger - tasty beef patty with all the standard trimmings as well as the chicken burger. Both rate highly. A word of warning though - the line can get long and the tables go fast - so dont leave it too much past 12. Cheers!!!

Favourite place to get a burger and beer in town. Best burgers (recommend the Capital, Cheese or Chicken Burgers). A great variety of craft beers on tap and super relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. Get in early because they're always packed and don't take bookings for less than 6 people. Worth the visit.

Another one of Canberra's gems and a convenient way to get brodburger when the Dickson joint is shut on Sundays. Nice atmosphere, good amount of local beers available and tons of seating. Location is a little out of the way but the opening hours make this a great late night eats destination in Canberra.

It's a bit of a Canberra icon and everyone comes here for after work drinks, especially on a Friday, but I don't really see the big fuss. I like that they're a local brewer doing well, but I find their range a bit limited. It would be great to get some darker ales on the menu, rather than just the one token stout - especially in Canberra's climate. The Brod van is a nice touch, but depending on when you get there and how you order, it's sometimes a long wait. I like this place, but don't love it.

We had enjoyed some of the beers from this place previously and were keen to go to the source. It was a little difficult to find at first because it's in a large complex of commercial buildings including Pickles car auctions. Once we found it using Google maps, we were very pleasantly impressed. It has a modern facade with a very large beer garden at the front. Inside, there is a long bar on the left, a food service area on the right, lots of seating in the middle, and the stainless steel beer vats at the back. It all looks modern and clean and almost has the feel of a German Bierhaus. On tap there are 12 beers including 4 which are only available at the taphouse. They also have available localwines, cider and distilled spirits from the distillery in the same complex. We bought a paddle comprising 4 x 200ml glasses of our choice for $20. We have now tried 9 of their beers and can honestly say that we haven't yet found one we didn't like. There is food available at the venue, although we didn't eat while we were there. There is also branded merchandise available for purchase such as t-shirts, hoodies, etc. We loved the beer and the venue and could see how this place would be good for groups.

Beer offerings are great, food is not so good. Cheese burger with blue cheese had the smallest scrape of cheese on it. Returning the burger just got a little more blue cheese. FYI don’t order a cheeseburger with blue cheese if you want to actually taste the cheese.

Too bad it’s so far out of the city centre; it was an expensive outing for me via Uber. Had a tasting paddle of four hoppy brews, then a middy of good blood orange New England IPA. Great that the in-house Brod food truck has a vegan option.

A good spot. Lots of hipsters, families, and even a few dogs. Good selection of beers. Oscar changed my Summit session cap to crispy boi pilsner free of charge as I didn't like the summit. Food was good too.

This is a fantastic place. I have come here almost every single Sunday for the last 3 years (excluding covid weeks). I love this place incase that wasn't evident enough. I've had my all time favourite beer here when I came in a few weeks ago and have had it every time since. This fabled beer; "All night Long" Dark lager. The best thing about Canberra. Canberra is amazing, with so much to do, eat, drink, and things to see. So the fact I place Capitol at the very top says something. The Brewhouse is a fantastic location, with wide open seating outdoors, and cosy indoor seating inside (even a fire place during Winter!). The beers are world class. The selection is always refreshing, and even the staple Trail Pale Ale and Coast Ale manage to create some truly unique tastes. Brodburger sits inside, and I can honestly say they offer some of the best burgers I've ever had. They have a great vegetarian option, and their chips are to die for. I could easily spend every Sunday afternoon at Capitol, basking in the sun outside and enjoying some truly amazing beers. The staff are great, and the COVID transition has not been a burdensome at all. Keep it up Capitol!

This place keeps a standard set of beers and rotates a series of others that they brew every few months. They stock the expected range with a rotation of variety beer. Bar staff are good. There is a burger place inside. Card only. Good for either lunch or dinner with a large outdoor seating area which has shade. Beer prices are slightly higher than average. But beer is as well. Burgers are good and similar standard and price to the beer. Its a good place to catch up with friends and worth a visit if you haven't been.

Great brewery with an interesting and varying range of beers (and a few other things). I've never had a bad one here, and worth taking a mixed cartom home. Spacious, with a mix of indoor and outdoor, family friendly. Food is from an onsite burger van (the famous Brodburger) which you can order online to save queuing; not a huge range though. If you must drive there's a large parking area round the back.

We had my sons 21st birthday there on Saturday night the 3rd October and I can't stress enough how impressed I was with all the staff including security and the staff in the Brod burger van made for a pleasant night incident free and enjoyed by all 34 of us. Always a really good atmosphere. The beers are aplenty, cold and the variety has something for everyone. I am a little disappointed with the wait times for food however. Over an hour one time I was there recently, I understand it's busy however there should be a better way / idea in providing burgers & dogs quicker. Perhaps another van outside for busier times, maybe more than just the one option? Keep sours coming boys.

TL;DR Awesome beer, nice staff, great for familys, pretty good burgers that may have a glacial wait time. Highly recommended for the beer lover. I will preface this review by acknowledging that Capital wants you to review their beer and venue seperatly to the only food available at their venue (Brod Burger). As its the only food you will be eating while at Capital Brewing I think it's reasonble to review them as one. First the venue location, this is a comercial brewery so its located in a comercial suburb of Canberra, they produce comercial quantities of beer, they also have a pub under the same roof. It's not located in the easiest location, but if you like beer enough you'll find a way. There is a large area out the front with tables and a grassed area, this area is quite exposed to the elements so if its cold and windy it's apretty interesting place to be, but if its clear and sunny, it's glorious. There is plenty of space for kids to play and a heap of things to climb on (for the kids) There are tables in two areas inside, it can be quite frustrating to walk in and see all of the tables reserved and almost no one sitting at them, surely if its 30 minutes past the reserve time they've lost the reservation?. It can be quite noisy in the main area as sometimes the music can be very loud. Their beer is very consistant unlike some craft brewer's where the same beer can taste very different batch to batch. The staff are very happy to give unpretentious advice on which beer you might like, and are happy to give a taste of a few different options. Most of their beer has a pretty normal alcohol volume so you can drive there and have a couple of drinks without going to jail. The service is pretty quick even if it's busy, which is often. It is well worth joing the "Good Natured Crew" to get 10% of beers and a free t shirt. Theoretically you get a free beer everytime a new one comes out, but I've never recieved an email to tell when that is. It's still good value though. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bathrooms always clean. The only bad behavior I've witnissed were from my own children, not other clientele. If you are planing to eat while you at Capital, order on the "Brod app" (the brodburger website) as soon as you arrive, BEFORE you get distracted by awesome beers. The burgers are pretty good even if a bit bland, always with fresh ingrediants, the fries (unsalted through to mostly salt) are ok. The wait times are geological, you'll be told that your order will take 25 minutes and if it's not busy, you might get it in 25 minutes. If it's busy 45 minutes upto 1 hour 15 minutes is par for the course. If it's a beautiful summer day with inside and outside full, 2 hours is normal. By that point you've probably finished off a few pints on an empty stomach so dont really care. Overall a great place to go, just not if you're already hungry. 5 stars for beers 3 stars for the food.

I went there for the first time on a Thursday and it was packed by about 6pm. However, the place was spacious enough and had great outdoor seating options that it wasn't a worry at all. My mate and I sat outside and enjoyed the crisp air. The beer is really nice with a great variety. They have card only facilities at the bar which I thought was interesting but not a big deal. The Piri Piri burger I had was in amongst the top best burgers I have had. Not The Best but by no means average. It didn't take long for the food to be cooked even though there was a line. It moved quickly and they message customers by text to let then know when the order is ready. I thought it was an interesting touch but I am also not in the habit of giving out my number to strangers. Still, I would imagine they have a strict policy in place surrounding it and it worked quite well at the time. All in all, I really liked it.

Great beers - probably the best in Canberra. A good selection of year round beers and decent seasonals. Brodburger is great too. They don't have fancy aioli or relishes but the cheese choice is great and the meat is always cooked perfectly and not overdone. There's plenty of seating, though book early to guarantee a table. I've had several group bookings without trouble for a dozen, 50, and 100 people. Events can either be catered for, or self service at the bar and Brod.

Great atmosphere with the brewery and bar combined in one big open warehouse. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and laid back and the clientele is always agreeable. The beers on offer are amongst some of the best in Australia (special shout out to the Rock Hopper IPA - it really is a must try, even if you're not an IPA person, or even a beer person for that matter.) Food consists of a Brodburger van inside the premises with a great selection of burgers, hot dogs and awesome fries (be sure to try the Vege Burger even if you love your meat.) With plenty of outdoor and indoor seating for small and large groups (and reservations available) Capital Brewing Co is a great venue for a quick pint or a long boozy (and burger-y) summer's day.

Bar is great, the staff are friendly and the space is really nice. Can get a little busy at times but service is always prompt. The big flaw though is the lack of proper food, Brodburger is just not a good enough solution. The wait gets way too long due to how large their menu is and how small their kitchen is. Seeing as there is nothing else around it makes you not want to come down during busy times because you will just have to drive elsewhere for food.

They are also let down by the food, over an hour wait for chips and a burger; plain and simple not good enough! The kitchen NEEDS to be bigger and able to serve the peak demand. (Venue is licence for 900). Also only burger, wings and chips available? That gets borring fast, especially when they are served on what looks like and tastes like cheap Woolworths buns. Parking is easy but that is a double edged sword as you have to drive. Loss of points for no cash, poor public transport and poor food. Edited: upon response from capital brewing, point taken I have now reviewed them independently and ammended my rating 4/5 "I like it" Would return for the beer and atmosphere, well done Capital Brewing.

I drove up from Melbourne to check out Capital Brewing and it was well-worth the trip! Stacks of incredible beers - I particularly recommend the Evil Eye Red IPA and the Hang Loose NEIPA. As an avid homebrewer, I also took the brewery tour which was great - a big shout out to Pat who I'm pretty sure spent an extra hour of his own time after knock-off to explain Capital's processes in detail. Pat's willingness is just one example of how the business owners have fostered an impressive sense of 'one-team' rather than simply having employees. I'm looking forward to bringing mates up to Canberra for outstanding brews, tasty burgers and an addictive vibe of good times. Cheers.

Don’t drink cider either, doesn’t matter, there are local wines. Don’t drink any of that, there’s kombucha, if you must. Hungry? That’s covered too, thanks to the Capital’s famous Brodburger pop up van dishing out our favourite burgers. Leafy beer garden to sit in, soft grass to lie on, all overlooking stacks of cars piled up like a wall waiting for next week’s auction - a nice piece of legit industrial chic. Set your gps and find this place - it’s worth the ride.

Popped in for a quick beer on the way through Canberra. The brewery is well appointed with tons of outdoor and indoor seating in both sun and shade. There is a large list of beers to choose from, we got the pale and the NEIPA. Both were really good and would have them again. There is also a permanent food truck on site, I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t have any. However, it’s pub style food like burgers and chips. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
