Managed to get a table for lunch, would be best to book in advance on the weekends. Meals were great, we had the Nasi Goreng which was delicious and the kids had pizza which were also very tasty, one was off the kids menu and was huge! Good value.

As Sydneysiders, we stumbled upon Public while we explored the arcades of Manuka, and Public did not disappoint. Very friendly service, comfy seats outside, generous pours, and tasty fresh food. We enjoyed the Beetroot Salad and the Ham & Pineapple Pizza (don't knock it until you try it -- it was amazing, crusts and all)! Thanks so much for a great lunchtime getaway!

Had my elderly Parents in the ACT today and we needed lunch - stumbled across Public Manuka and from the moment we looked in the front door we were made feel welcome with country style warmth and hospitality. We dropped by this bar twice on our holiday and both times it had a healthy amount of patrons. The Friday evening had a great vibe with a mellow live acoustic set playing in the background. Like a lot of places in Canberra the drinks are expensive, especially the beer (it would help if the staff knew how to pull a proper beer, it wouldn't make you cringe so much for having to pay almost 13 bucks a pint). You get better value out of the cocktails. We didn't get a chance to try their food.

Public is perfect for lunch on a cold Canberra Saturday. The atmosphere was great without being too loud, the bar staff were friendly and efficient and our lunch was delicious. The salads that accompany the pub classics are the best!

A great place to hang out and have a couple drinks with your friends. The indoor and outdoor atmosphere of this pub is very comfortable and welcoming. The food is also worth checking out and is full of flavour. Would highly recommend the pizzas. The choice of beers on tap is also very good. My only recommendation would be to improve the quality of the spirits such as a JD and coke or rum and ginger as they were lacking in taste. Overall, very good experience.

On 26 September 2019, my colleagues and I attended Public on the recommendation of a friend. I found the staff to be polite and provide great customer service. I ordered the Rib Eye. I've eaten plenty of steak in my time and I must say this steak was phenomenal. I would score the food 10 out of 10. I strongly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We always come here for the steaks. The menu isn’t extensive but whatever they have for on there it’s usually pretty good. Blown away tonight by the superb customer service we received from one of the very friendly and professional staff members. He made a mistake with our steak order and took ownership of it - was very apologetic and even footed the bill. We were delighted as that was totally unexpected but well done! This is truly deserving of my 5-Star rating. This is how you win advocates :) we will be back! Love the vibe and friendly service here. Thank you team!

Went here recently for the schnitzel special and was very pleased with my schnitzel. The crumb was crispy and the meat was juicy and tender. The shoestring chips were great. Mushroom sauce could have been better though. Good deal at $20 on Wednesdays.

A little gem of a place in the Manuka entertainment hub. Offering a wide selection of alcohol and regular pub fare. The staff are very friendly and extremely accommodating. The food was excellent. Priced for what it's worth. Recommended for a night out with friends or colleagues.

Mixed experience here. Staff were friendly and attentive but venue struggled to keep up with busy Sunday brunch trade (though restaurant wasn't full..), resulting in 45 minute wait for breakfast. Food was good, though lukewarm when it arrived. Perhaps my biggest grievance was paying $12 for a smoothie that came in a small glass and essentially seemed like room-temperature milk with banana flavouring – it couldn't have cost more than 50c to make. The coffee at least was great.

Honestly a little underwhelming. Expensive food (even for Manuka), a strangely restricted menu (but great if you want steak/meat + token veg), and aloof staff. Nice atmosphere for a drink but there are better spots for food.

Public is a very unique bar with with a nice outdoor open area and the interior is well set up. They have an extraordinary drink menu, the staff are professional and fun at the same time, and the food is great, this bar is quite a sight!!
