Recommend their set menu which is affordable by Canberra standards ($65pp), tastes good, and is filling (for our group of 4, we were given: x3 entrees, x2 mains with x3 sides, and x2 desserts). The portion sizes are really well considered with equal servings provided for each person in a group (we were pleasantly surprised that each person got to have the same number of dessert donut balls)! The mushroom main was an amazing highlight from an overall tasty menu. Service was good.

Such a memorable time at Rizla. I went there for a post-dinner wine not realising that they have a full food menu. All of the dishes we had were incredible - super fresh and tasty - but the best part was the service. They were so welcoming and chatty. We had a great time here!

What a memorable experience, the service was out of this world and it was awesome food. The owner was so passionate and really did everything to ensure we had a great Sunday lunch. We had an excellent experience with Rizla on Saturday night as I caught up with a friend from Melbourne. Andy and the team were professional, responsive and lots of fun. The Riesling (we chose a local one from ‘Four Winds Vineyard’) and menu were absolutely delicious and the location felt both tucked away and private but still offered an ambient buzz near the rainbow roundabout in Braddon. We are already looking forward to next time!

We've eaten at Rizla 7 times in the past 15 months both in the restaurant & take away during lockdown. It is always fantastic. Food is always on point, generous portion sizes, and the service is some of the best in the Berra. The food is always fresh and seasonal. The team is always wiling to provide wine advice suited to your budget & taste. Andy and the team have created a casual fine dining experience that is unlike any other. Great job guys.

A really cool wine bar specialising in riesling. Their selection was huge and had some really unique items such as a Riesling Gin. The staff were also really friendly and able to recommend different wines based on our preferences. The food menu looked delicious with some sharing snacks and also main meals. This was a really cosy spot with blankets and outdoor heaters as well. Highly recommend - one of the cutest wine bars in the area!

The food and wine were amazing - my partners favourite was the tuna tartare. Mine was the beef cheeks. The service was brilliant. Friendly and attentive without being overbearing. When we realised that we had to get home to relieve the babysitter, the waiter magicked up a take away dessert for us. Top quality

Very impressed with this venue. Small menu of share plates. Great food, generous serves, good service. A great spot to sit and watch the Braddon hum. Diverse and interesting wine list (mostly Riesling as expected) by the glass or the bottle. Highly recommended!

Went for a mid-week dinner with a group of four and it was excellent. The food sounds simple on the menu, but it was all well executed and delicious. Plates came out at a nice pace and were well portioned for easy sharing. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the excellent wine list.

Had a late dinner on a cold Tuesday night. Jake and Andy looked after me and my friend. Food was awesome and the wine that was offered was superb. Highly recommend for either a casual get together or any other event 10/10

I was looking for wine tastings in Canberra and was recommended to Rizla by a friend of a friend. I was a little hesitant to go as I'm not a white wine person but our friendly waitress was patient enough to recommend some whites and reds according to our palate. The German riesling they served for us was the best white I've ever had! I went 3 weeks ago and every day I wish I could have a glass (and bottle). The food was sensational too- complimented very well with our wines. Great staff, delicious food and a very nice list of regional + international wines. I will definitely go every single time I visit canberra- it's just that good!!!

Came here for dinner last Saturday as part of a small group. My partner and I got the option where they just bring you food to suit what you're drinking - and we were extremely well fed! Standouts were the tuna tartare, brussels sprouts, charred corn and the doughnuts. Staff were lovely - never overbearing, made sure we were comfortable at our outdoor table, and gave us some knockout wine recommendations. One person in our party is coeliac, and they made sure to mark all dishes that were gluten free or could be altered to accommodate. We felt like it was good value, a great night and are already planning a return visit.

Dropped in for a quick wine and a sample of the menu. Wow. Great vibe extensive wine list and the raw fish dish was amazing. Worth coming back just for that. NOT the place to come if you want a beer (a couple of Canberra classics if you really want one). It’s a wine bar. Andy has done a fantastic job. Will be back.

Impromptu dinner at Rizla with a friend last night. So glad we tried it. I have coeliac a disease so eating out can be challenging and stressful sometimes. It was an amazing meal. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable about allergens AND allergen cross contamination. Filled me with confidence it would be a safe option and it was. We enjoyed the beef cheeks and brussel sprouts but they were able to tailor most things on the menu and even offered a delicious gf dessert opinion that wasn’t on the menu (Riesling poached pear) 😋 Great selection of wines too. I would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.

A small restaurant /café with a tapas style menu of small and medium sized dishes to share. There is a good wine list of mostly white wines, many from the Canberra region. Staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Menu items are well prepared with bold flavours.

Six of us went there during our visit in January. We were lucky enough to be served by Alex(?) the owner who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and most welcoming. The food selection was right on the money and everybody in our party was blown away by the complete dining experience. I would recommend a visit here any time.

We’ve enjoyed three amazing Rizla experiences! Two have been collaborations which have been a fabulous combination of food and perfectly matched wines. One time was enjoying incredible food from the Rizla standard menu and drinks list. With so many options to choose from in Canberra and in Braddon in particular, Rizla definitely is one that we keep coming back to!! Friendly staff, efficient service but you never feel rushed, spacious, great atmosphere… so much that makes the experience memorable above the food and wine. Looking forward to our next visit.
