Lovely casual dining experience, very popular with lots of reserved tables. Staff were very friendly and service was fast. BBQ chicken pizza was excellent, wonderfully cooked, plenty of tasty toppings and the base was amazing. Pasta carbonara was fresh and fantastic, Al dente pasta, smooth creamy sauce. Quite a bit if outdoor seating and coved safe.

Absolutely delicious. Great service. I went for breakfast and ordered the orange juice and the healthy breakfast. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the food itself was top quality and perfectly prepared. I think this was my best dining experience I have ever had from the food to the service. I love this place. Quality food every time with excellent service. Edit: I’ve amended this to 3 stars from 5 stars after coming here with my baby. It was clear that prams were not wanted and despite coming here a week earlier and having no issues this was suddenly now a problem. I sat down at a table and was asked to move because I had a pram. The manager had allocated “pram tables” in the back corner in the sun (my child was hot and unsettled as a result). They were also incorrectly included in the 1.5 meter rule for social distancing. I told the waiter the table wasn’t suitable for children yet the manager insisted that I move. I had planned a long catch up with a friend but had to leave before we ordered our meals because they booked the table we had been allocated that was “pram friendly” despite being other tables available that we weren’t allowed to use due to having prams. The waiter who was communicating with us was not friendly and honestly, it seemed like us being there was simply an inconvenience. We tried to move to a table without a reserved sign and was told it was also suddenly booked after asking for a menu. It will be a long time before I try this venue again. If you want to go somewhere that welcomed all patrons, go to Casey Jones instead.

Very friendly staff, convenient location. A little pricey for brekky/brunch options. Additional sides such as mushroom, bacon, hash brown, spinach etc are $5 each and to switch to gluten free bread option is $5. Portion size was generous, although our meal might have been sitting for a little while as it was served just warm. Coffee was ok, however no clear distinction between a latte v cappuccino 🤷‍♀️

Dinner was tasty and full of flavour, and the wait staff were friendly, however, Me and my partner got sat at a really uncomforable table, were the staff hung out so we could listening to all their conversations about their day while having a constant door opening had the door opening and closing. (We booked and there were multipe tables in more comfortable places that never filled the whole time we were there) I ordered a rare steak and recieved it medium, (a very good medium but not what I ordered). We ordered the $18 pork belly entree, which was 3 bite size pieces of pork and an apple puree that tasted like it came from a baby food jar (not great). Also, these guys are a pub not a michelin star upperclass restaurant, who justifies 3 pieces of 'not great' pork for $18? The worst tragedy of all was the fact that they removed the parmigiana but not the schnitzel from their menu which blows my mind in the logic. We went there after the recommendation about their parmis from parmigiana Josh on instagram, and it's disappointing we never got what we came for.

Great venue. We had an awesome weekend here again. The staff and manager were very accommodating from the minute we got there till we left - we were the last ones there. We had a large function and the manager was very helpful with accommodating our group. As for the below posts the music has never been too loud when we have been (if you don't like a busy place don't go) food spot on. Awesome whisky and fridge variety. Met up with a friend for lunch, it was nice and cool in there which was awesome as it was scorching hot outside. Ordered an entree size calamari and my friend had the prawns. The food didn't take long to come out and tasted as good as it looked. It was delicious.

The most delicious Dianne steak sauce in Canberra! A bit pricey, hence the 4 stars but still a nice atmosphere and good food. My parents are from the country and I always bring them here when they are in town, they love the feel and the food.

Birthday for my 83yo mother. We were able to mix and match chairs and bench seats to suit all guests which worked well. The food was absolutely incredible. We had a variety of dishes and all were enjoyed. The cocktails were excellent. The only point to consider when booking is to check if you will be sitting outside. On the northern side, the sun, without a breeze can get hot. Highly recommended.

Had after-work drinks on a Friday evening. Food was great at reasonable price, however, seating arrangements seemed a bit too packed in certain areas which made going to the bar or restrooms quite awkward and inconvenient. All-in-all, it is a great place for casual dining and catch-up drinks.

This one of my favourite spots around Gungahlin area. You can book or drop in, the service, food and drinks will be great in any case. The food is nice and tasty, it never disappoints. The cocktails are the best - yummy and proper for a reasonable price. I recommended this place to many friends and I plan to keep coming back myself.

Great Atmosphere, Great location and great food. Their steak and chicken schnitzel is to die for. Only ever had one bad meal there. I always go there for dinner and they never fail to disappoint. Only problem is that it is quite expensive but i guess for the price it is very good quality. Would recommend for anyone of any age.

Wonderful food! Very friendly staff. I just felt that some of the tables were in very awkward positions. We had to ask the lady on the table next to us to move everytime someone needed to go order or go to the bathroom. There is a very yummy vegan option there and would love the opportunity of more to choose from. Super happy with our experience and will be back!!

I haven’t eaten here before. I ordered a takeaway seafood pasta. It was ready in 20 mins. Delicious! Huge serving and heaps of lovely quality seafood cooked to perfection. I’ll be back again for sure.

Finally got a booking here on Friday night due to trying heaps no fault to the district they are a popular place.so most weeks we get takeaway from here. We booked the first session we were told on the phone that it's 6pm-730pm which was fine by us. The staff were very professional and fast with serving, bringing the food out and cleaning. The Perch was a stand out hats off to the chefs. We did notice some of the staff cop some slack off a group out the back that's time was up at the same time as us, we witnessed some of them come at 630pm. When we left and went to superbarn we could still see them hanging around while staff were trying to get them out next time call the police guys saves you the fine. Don't see what the issue was we were reminded at 7:10pm that we had another 20-25 mins max and asked if we wanted anymore drinks or desserts which we did we weren't rushed at all. I can see a few posts below someone complaining about being rushed out. Businesses are doing it tough if your given a specific time show up on time and take advantage of it. There is also another post about gluten free bases my son is gluten intolerant we have never complained about paying the extra cost.! (grow a pair) As I said above I finally got a booking after weeks of trying. I'm sure plenty of other families miss out each night. These guys have sanitiser everywhere, they ask you to sign in or scan your phone at the door. They are always cleaning so five stars n more to staff and management you all are doing a great work. Don't let any negative Nancy's s ruin it for you. And the Bailey's Brulee is bloody yum

My pancakes were ok, small serve with a "COVID19" price tag (meaning everything is 30-40% increase). Atmosphere was loud and it was a screaming match around us to see who can talk the loudest. Cheap and uncomfortable chairs. We'll go back when they change to comfy chairs and in an open area where we can talk without feel like we're in a rock concert.

Consistently excellent. Front of house team in particular are very professional and provide attentive service. Relaxed cosy atmosphere, very comfortable, good menu with well presented dishes that are worth the reasonable prices. Great deals on mid week specials too. Been going here for three and a bit years now and glad they're local to me. I've seen consistent refinement in service and menu over that time which continues today. I often stop in for a pint of Koszi after a particularly busy day at work as it's very relaxing. It's my go-to for a low key evening out with my wife where we are guaranteed good food in a relaxing atmosphere. Great work guys, keep it up! You all work so hard and it shows :)

This place is a great choice for casual dining in the Gungahlin area. Family friendly but also appropriate for some after work drinks. It gives off a pub food vibe with a modern twist. The few times I have been here, the staff have always been engaging and friendly. Food comes at a decent pace and the food itself is quite tasty, with a nice mix of the classic favourites as well as a few unique items. I personally recommend the chicken wings as an entree. Overall I am quite satisfied and will be re-visiting many times in the future

Another great feed for a late lunch. Four of us sat in the closed outside area. All of us snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug .. the area was nice and warm. We were able to converse, in a comfortable and relaxed environment. We had nice drinks from hot chocolates, champagne, beer and bourbon. We had pizza and the trio dips. Sunday night food was not good. Menu choices had potential, but they seemed to be just going through the motions of putting stuff on plates. I got the impression that the kitchen was grossly understaffed as we had a forty five minute wait for starters, and another forty minute wait for mains after that. Disappointing as the food used to be good. The wait staff and bar persons, on the other hand, were very friendly and helpful. I was contacted by management who were apologetic and confirmed that the kitchen was, in fact, quite understaffed. They also offered a voucher for dinner. No need for that as stuff happens and I guess the kitchen staff was forced to cope. Changed to 4 stars as they actually care. Cheers.

Pleasant gastro pub. The prices are no worse than anywhere else and the food is actually quite good. We spent a pleasant 3 hours chatting over good food and cool drinks while the band played unobtrusively in the background, and in 40 degree heat - not bad.

A thriving restraunt perfectly located in the center of crace, a local favourite for beers and food. I haven't had a meal I haven't loved here, although I find it a tad overpriced I accept it for its convenient location and great atmosphere. Plenty of live music and choice of food.

On entry you find a seat check out the menu then order your meals and drinks from the bar returning to your table with a table number. Nice food a little overpriced but you certainly get what you order. Nice coffee and cakes. Choice of dinning inside or out sheltered around the front and one side. Not the fast service so you can be waiting a little if it's busy.

I used to like this place. They used to have this awesome beef cheeks. Then they stopped making it and the food seems very average pub fried food. The service was pretty bad last few times I went. The lady behind the counter looked at me and asked: what do you want? I just said: nothing and walked away.

The district has always been great, although after visiting yesterday the quality of food has stepped up another level! I had the bbq chicken pizza which was the best pizza I’ve ever had while my girlfriend had the peri peri chicken burger which was equally fantastic. We have had both meals numerous times before but yesterday’s exceeded expectations! The service is always exceptional and meals come out swiftly even when it’s busy No complaints!

I went for dinner with my family on Wednesday evening (9 Adults and two children). Most of us had the Porterhouse Steak special ($25 with a drink thrown in). The Steaks were a good size, the meat was top quality and everyone's steak was cooked as they liked it. All of the sauces (Pepper, Mushroom and Garlic Cream) were also pretty good. My wife had the Chilli Prawn and Chorizo pasta and my son went for the Chicken Parmigiana, both of which were also excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and the service was good, given how busy the place was. I would highly recommend the District to anyone looking for a great meal at a very reasonable price.
