Learn to swim class is awesome! I took the most advanced adult one, and feel so lucky to have met my instructor Lu and Alice there. They're just amazing! Very diligent and helped correcting me a lot! ❤ And also during school holiday, there's exciting slide over the diving pool.

I learnt swimming at Aquatic centre after I came to Hobart. It was 2017. I couldn’t forget my first time floating in the water, breaststroke, 25m, 100m, 1km, 2km, and freestyle…and open water. Now swimming is one of my favorite things. Staffs are so nice! Btw I quite like their chips and coffee! I miss their sauna too.😄

Great swimming pool. It is heated. Would be appropriate to swim in either winter or summer. They have 8 lanes for 50 metres pool and 6 lanes 25 metres pool. And there are other pool areas that I didn’t get a chance to have a look. Staff is helpful and informative. Price is decent for students. Will come back for more swimming sessions.

Casual visit prices are a bit steep, male change rooms and showers have needed a face lift for the last ten years. Super busy early morning, parking is a nightmare, the kids area looks new and fresh will bring the family back!

We were impressed with the new amenities in the kids pool, but disappointed to see that use of other attractions have changed. The larger, purple slide was not open for nearly our entire stay, only open for a short while at the start, so we actually did not get a turn. This was durring the day (about 1-3pm). My sister was also quite disappointed that you have banned public use of the static diving boards in the larger lap pool. Im assuming all this is due to changing regulations, but it was rather disappointing.

Great swimming pools. Three swimming pools one is 1m to 1.4m deep pool and It is heated.another is 2 metres and 5 meter deep with warm and little cold water.Would be appropriate to swim in either winter or summer. They have 8 lanes for 50 metres pool and 6 lanes 25 metres pool. And 5 metres depth pool areas that I didn’t get a chance to have a explore. Staff is helpful and informative. Price is decent for students and single adult and family. Less place for free car parking.Will come back for more swimming sessions.

Facilities look a bit run down, and there's not much chance of a leisurely swim with kids all around after school. Good training regimes though, and a proper Olympic diving board.

Air temperature is perfect. Cannot find any warm place except here in Hobart . That why is my favourite place to go

I love pulling laps at the Hobart Aquatic Centre. For a city with the weather that Hobart has they need a 50m indoor pool. I do my Tuesday laps here and the pool is always clean, and well maintained. You can tell how popular it is because sometimes it is difficult to get a lane. If you are looking for a swim in Hobart then this is where you go.

Best friends leaisure pool with fantastic kids pool. Our Son is undergoing swimming classes every weekend and this can be a good spot to practice. Pleasant staffs and professional instructors makes this place at all times welcoming.

My four year old companion and myself had a ball. A smaller water slide for the little ones, a bigger one for the big kids. Play pools, water bucket and springs help to build confidence in water play and lap pools and diving platforms for the experienced swimmers. Family change rooms, friendly staff.

Awesome gymnasium facility with contemporary equipment & a huge group fitness room, Les Mills classes on rotation; BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyBalance, BodyCombat, BodyStep, CXWorx, Grit & RPM as well as a variety of in-house developed classes. On the wet side there is an olympic standard diving pool with swim lanes and kids aquatic areas.

Usually very good and fun with huge and small slides and one of those blow-up fun castle like things over the water but this time had a class taken over all the lap/dive lanes (I love diving in the water) and even when it was finished they kept up the, Public no access, signs. So a little annoyed but still had a lovely relaxing swim in the slow lane on the other side of the walk way.

Generously staffed with trained friendly personnel. Four pools and something for all levels of swimming. Also access to outdoor area. Appropriately heated water and air. Competition pool with 25-50 metre bulkhead with just right temperature for a solid swimming workout. Good prices for a long variety of memberships include, swim, gym, exercise classes , spa, member's change room and shower. Negatives - incontinence rarely in childrens' pool but scoop net handy.

It is a great place. It has a bit for everyone to spend a few hours. My kids love it. Children swimming instructors are very professional, patient and responsible. Some of the life guards too seem to actively work.

We are interstate visitors and were really impressed with the customer service especially from Hannah. The pool and gym were great the only criticism is the change room facilities for the pool being there is only a cold tap and a lack of privacy.

I currently am touring Tassie and found you can get a hot shower here for 5 bucks It's the change rooms showers would best be described as army barracks with no privacy just lines of showers with no screens ....pool looked good staff friendly if your a shy type this place is not for you if you just want a shower..

There are pools to play in or pools to swim in. There is one 50m pool, one 25m pool, one dive pool and a play pool. The play pool is nice and shallow for kids that are not confident swimmers. There is also a slide and a gym. Both the pool and the gym hold lessons to help with your fitness. On Friday night's there is usually the local waterpolo games where schools or clubs have there games. So between 5 to 9 on a Friday night, it is pretty crazy. There are lots of walking areas and the staff are very welcoming. And there are ALWAYS life guards watching for your safety.

Cannot speak for the pool experience, however I am interstate and came for a shower and was charged $5 👍, however there is only a communal shower which is under constant video surveillance, so if you're just coming for a shower this isn't the place.

It is a lovely place to take the kids however they need to learn how to deal with incidents. Someone had an accident in the pool and We were all kicked out, which is fair enough, however we had only just arrived and they refused to give us a refund and instead have us a voucher that had to used within 2 weeks.

Good pool! I like to consider myself a pool expert per say considering I'm a competitive swimmer. I've spent at least 2 months of my life here. It is a nice pool, especially the lap and dive pools. Although, the 25m pool and the splash pool are rather salty and yellow from bodily functions. Other than that, the toilets are nice and the rest of the pool is too. One other thing is that it gets rather hot and stuffy, but thats expected at an indoor, heated pool.

If you are going with children pick your days, don't go on a cold day the pool is way too cold. It could do with a good refurbishment. Otherwise there are multiple pool options, with a nice kids area - although when classes are being run all kids activities are turned off.

The temp in the air at this pool is the hottest I have ever experienced. Any chance of putting in some windows?. Was there recently for a 5 day water polo tournament. I nearly roasted like a hot chicken! Besides this the pool is well designed and has lots of parking. Just the air factor....phew!

A Hobart classic! Considering how many people use this pool on a regular basis the pools and the pools facilities stay clean and the eatery and staff are nice! For all year round use the Hobart Aquatic Centre is the place to go!!

I love this place. I'm paraplegic and swim regularly. I can walk into the water on my crutches or use one of their water suitable wheelchairs when my legs just won't play the game The disabled changerooms could be in better shape, but I'm lead to believe that they are soon to be refurbished. They have a great Cafe with some interesting healthy snacks as well as the usual suspects and they serve a nice cup of coffee.

Good spot for a play with the kids, a leap off the dive platforms (4 of them plus multiple bounce-boards), or a long swim (50m pool)... complete with saunas, spas, a cafe and a gym. The key problem is that they're frequently understaffed, and you can't rely on the team to have enough lifeguards on deck to supervise some of the best activities/facilities, such as the diving boards. Like a lot of things in Hobart, they're access restricted. Centuries after releasing rehabilitated convicts into society, Tasmanians still have hangovers about our best available to the commoners... 😉

I was unfamiliar with area, so I had to use my GPS... not too many issues with navigation. Will be easy to find now that I've been there once already. The mens showers are warm with no temperature control. I also found that the showers and changing rooms were open plan. Not a huge fan of this, as I'm not keen seeing naked people and I don't like showering with my swimmers on etc... hmmm. There's a coffee shop inside and the parking is free for those who pay to use the swimming facilities. Must insure to use car park coupon etc. There's a kids area and swimming lanes. Nothing too special about this place but it had everything you would expect from a council pool and there is also a gym.

Absolutely love this pool. Great place for kids of all ages to play. Great shallow pool for tiny ones. Also good bubbling circle in kids pool for them, and water fountains at edge of the pool. Large waterslide for bigger kids, small elephant slide for the less adventurous children. Great amount of equipment around for children to use when it's free; noodles and kickboards. Lifesavers, attentive and watchful without being militant and over the top. Our son has swimming lessons there and adores it. He can't wait to go every week. The classes are educating, but also fun and enjoyable for children. Learning new skills is fun and enjoyable rather than an arduous task for toddlers. We tried a different local pool, Oceana on the Eastern Shore and our son hated it, asking not to go every week. Whilst the instructors were pleasant and friendly, the classes were highly regimented and there was no option to play or explore the pool before or after the class. The centre was also governed by a lot of strict rules. Signs up saying "only shower if necessary", and "don't leave the changerooms wet" even though you had to walk back through the wet pool area after leaving the changerooms to exit the pool.

Great and friendly place to take the kids for a relaxing time and they cater for all different age groups and disabled people which i think is amazing. Have fun here guys and gals its really good. I am now a member which is really affordable for everyone and think its the best way to save money and get provided a great service

Great facility. 50m pool with a movable boom that can make it two 25m pools. Separate diving pool, learners pool and children's area. Has a small spa area with two small spas, both of which are a bit cool and shallow. Also has a steam room and sauna in this area.

Large pool system. Frequent reservations for school activities. There are only 3 handicapped/family locker rooms so there is a wait sometimes. The members locker room doesn't have a handicapped accessible shower with a seat. There is a chair that can be used that takes most of the space. There is no lower holder to place the handheld shower head while you are sitting. The locking mechanism to enter the spa, steam, and sauna areas is a bit hard to reach while seated on a wheelchair or scooter. There are lots if ramps so a person on a chair or scooter can get everyplace. There is a lift to get into the dive pool. There are no steps or ramps to enter the lap pool areas.

I mean... I love the parts of this place that are functional. However, a third of the water fountains in the kids area are broken and even things that can be cleaned up like all the little pot plants that have fallen over are laying on their side for years.

I had a lovely time here, I took my 12 month old baby girl to paddle in the pool and have some fun, the pool for the young folk gradually tappers from dry land to chest high on an adult over about 10 or 15 meters, so no matter how old your young one is there is a perfect spot where they are at just the right depth.

I use this top-class facility 3 times a week. They offer an amazing range of activities. It's probably the only pool in Australia to offer: Underwater Rugby, Fin Swimming, Pool lifesaving, Water Basketball AND Underwater Rugby!
