Terrific pub. Good food, great people. The inside is cozy, outside is spacious and the creek out the back has trout and eels to look at. Publican was a champ. Beer was cold.

Great friendly country pub with a good atmosphere and selection of beers. The Tasmanian tiger lager was really good and so was their lamb and gravy pie. Definately recommend a pit stop here

Terrific country pub. We stayed here a couple of nights and ate in the dining room one of the nights. We enjoyed the steak. On the Friday night it was heaving with locals enjoying live music and we had a good dance. Saturday was pretty quiet. The owner is lovely and the accommodation is cheap. The interiors have seen better days but it’s super clean, which is what counts in my book. The one drawback is that it can be noisy because it’s a pub, so it’s probably more suited to us night owls.

Wasn't staying, but stopped off for lunch. Fabulous value, good honest pub fare with friendly service and lovely surroundings. Will be back for sure

We had a lunch here on a Saturday shortly after arriving on vacation from interstate and we enjoyed a reasonably good meal each. Service was good and drinks prices good. We returned at 1.57pm the next day to have lunch and were greeted with advice that the kitchen had just closed. Apparently lunch menu is only available 12 to 2. Beware of that if you are driving any distance to get there as we had (spent the morning in Devonport and made a special effort to get to Mole Creek Hotel for lunch, quite disappointed. Luckily the tap-house nearby has far more generous service hours!)
Recommended if you can comply with their hours 👍👍👍

A great pub with very friendly staff and locals and lovely meals too. The publican also gave us a bottle of champers as we'd booked the honeymoon suite.

Enjoy lunch. Looking forward to next visit.

Fantastic venue in the middle of beautiful countryside. Get yourself down here and check it out.

Lovely country pub with affordable meals and cool, casual front bar. Accommodation is cheap and clean. It does get very noisy of an evening, especially if your room is near the kitchenette (and you might find people having cheeky cigarettes out the fire exit door, which is smelly), but otherwise excellent value. We’d definitely stay here again.

Tasty traditional pub menu, cold beer and good service.

Its a nice small pub with friendly staff. We popped in for lunch before heading to the caves.

Solid traditional Aussie pub with tiger pies and tiger ales and glorious beer garden

What a relaxing experience. A really nice country pub. We received good old fashioned service and their chips and mushroom gravy though simple was so nice. Lying on the grass with a cold drink enjoying the sun, bliss. Great little surprises amoungst the trees, another nice touch (won't give it away, but added to the experience). Highlight of the day was definitely seeing the platypus, almost as if on cue they appeared.

After a cave tour for lunch. Best coffee I've had for ages! The food is exceptional time and time again! Highly recommend to anyone needing a hot delicious feed! The pepper sauce is amazing! Perfect steak!. We will be back.

For the price, you can't go wrong. Booked in on a Sunday afternoon with my 14 yr old son and had a great meal. Met the owner, Doug who was very patient and helpful. Lovely no-fuss staff that you'd expect from country folk.
The Chudleigh, Mole Creek and Cave exploration made for a great holiday.

Stayed two nights. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfy and huge. We had an ensuite. The view was amazing. We did a big day hike to The Walls. Mole Creek doesn't have anything else to offer. Eg no coffee shops. The meals at the hotel were average a tad expensive. The bread was really good though. Excellent service.

Lunch was very good. Good sized meals. Was very busy, we did book in advance, and so did quite a few others. Easy access and friendly staff.

Loved the atmosphere in this little pub. Just stopped in for a quick one but would definitely go back again. Lots of interesting news articles on the walls about Tassie Tigers too.

This is a great, old fashioned Aussie pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu offered a great variety of meals, and they catered well for gluten free and vegetarian. The facilities were very clean. This pub was very popular with the gray nomads on motorbikes who sniff out the good value and quality eateries.

Loved it. Great place to stop for a country meal to/from Cradle Mountain. To think my Nans brother once upon a time used to own it....amazing!

After touring the cave, we called in to this humble pub. Nothing much but the food is tasty and good value for money. We had roast lamb, pork and start. They all were very tender. Worth stopping by for a meal if you are driving through this town.

good meal and awesone history in the tiger bar.

Loved it - quirky bar, we saw the platypuses out back, and the room was decent (and warm!) for the price.

Very interesting pub with lots of local history around the Tasmanian Tiger. Fantastic beer garden which facilitates outdoor concerts and room for a caravan or motorhome out the back. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great place to break up your trip.

Interesting pub to visit and have lunch.

The quintessential country pub. Lovely outdoor area, very reasonably priced, tasty food. A local craft beer on tap.

Awesome pub, resident platypus, and fresh trout in the stream out the back. Great barstaff and tassie beer. Motorhome camping out the back 👌

This trip was our first to the Mole Creek Hotel for a meal having intended to go there for several years. The service was quick and friendly, garlic bread was nice and fresh and not stale like some and my wife’s pumpkin soup a good serve and excellent. My wife had the lamb roast with vegies and was excellent, I had the scotch steak and it was cooked correctly but I am not a fan of having the pepper gravy poured over the steak and prefer it in a small bowl or jug. There was a little vein of gristle in the steak which is not uncommon with scotch and with the gravy poured over the steak it was hard to find it to cut it out. The steak was good quality and haven’t downed my feed back because it is common. The Chips and salad were excellent. This is a typical country pub with expected ambience being slightly rustic but pleasant.

Warm, friendly and humble with stunning views of the mountains out the front and a beautiful creek out the back and if you are very lucky you may spot a platypus. Very clean and tidy. Meals are great, however the bottle shop is way overpriced.

Quaint little pub, with a great beer garden out the back. Camping area is good too. Nice selection of beer, though the Tassie Tiger Burger was pretty bland. Pizza's were great though!
B. M.
Great country pub. The meals are good and the beer is cold and Tassie tigers are everywhere! Great back deck to sit in the sun and have a cuppa or a coldie. Owners and staff are friendly and gave us great tips on sights to see in the area.

Mole Creek and Alum Cliffs walk. Short, relatively easy and stunningly beautiful.

There is a couple of great drinking opportunities in Mole Creek especially the NEW Wandering Trout Crafty Ales which is OPEN FOR BUSINESS down the road from the Mole Creek Hotel. Both offer great food, wine and beer.
