What a glorious nook! Just a few blocks from the bustling Salamanca markets, this bar features an ever-changing and broad taplist with a good mix of local and other beers. Wine list is thoughtful and ready to please everyone. The menu is perfect bar food. The real hero here, though, is the three separate spaces: little tables indoors, heaps of outdoor seating and the star of the show- the old bus in the back of the garden! As a professional preacher, this setup gets two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Stopped by for a light dinner and was very impressed. Burgers were probably on the pricey side and didn't look that great. This place has the best tasting burger I've ever had. Very friendly staff. Great little outdoor area to sit. Food was amazing. I had the CHEESE burger with fries, my wife had the duck roll and we shard some tempura broccoli which was delicious! Great range of craft beer on hand. I had a pasinonfruit infused beer.....won't do that again but otherwise was very happy to spend money there and will again.

Great little beer garden down a laneway in battery point. We stumbled across this place on an afternoon walk. Great to sit in the sun with one of their many craft beers. Loaded fries were awesome. Good tunes and atmosphere

This place was recommended by the Lonely Planet guide and we decided to try it out. It certainly delivered on delicious burgers, including the vegetarian one which was impressive (you can tell it is made with love if you know what I mean). Plenty of craft beers to choose from (I tried a stout they used whey from their other business, the cheese factory. Very nice in my opinion) and local Gin. Then you have the nice outdoor area with plenty of benches and bus, yes bus, to sit in. Friendly staff and good music playing in the background. It personally ticks all the boxes to have a great couple of hours eating, drinking and enjoying life.

Wow. Came here because I saw online that they had a great selection of beer but I was blown away by the layout of the place. Set in what must have been a house at one time, the room become different themed places to drink and eat with a lounge room or a dining room. The bar is in another room. The outside area is divided into smoking and non smoking (good) and has a bus you can sit in and large fireplaces for the cold times. Staff are great and I had a nice chat about craft beers. Quiet during the day I was told it can get very busy with a line for beers going out the front door. All I can say is that it would probably be worth it.

Great beer, great food, great service, great vibe. The range of beers available is excellent - plenty of IPAs but could do with a few more stouts. The burgers and chips are great. If you love broccoli (who doesn’t?) you must try the tempura broccoli with wasabi mayo - it is divine!! 🤤 This place is kid friendly during the day (they can have a blast playing in the bus). Card payment accepted.

Funky bar with a good variety of Tasmanian beers and ciders. You can choose to dine inside, outside in the beer garden or in the decommissioned bus, as we did. We particularly enjoyed the buffalo wings and Frank's Cider.

A very nice and cozy place to grab a drink with friends. The outdoor area is breezy and bright and the idoor place is more dim with a warm fireplace. The food is just okay, but I'd understand why it would be so popular among locals for drinks. Prices are affordable too.

Great selection of craft beers and ciders on tap displayed on a huge blackboard above the bar. Barman was very knowledgable, offering suggestions and recommendations according to your taste. They also serve mulled wine! The interior is homely and cosy, the outside had plenty of varied seating areas including an old bus. There were woodburning stoves and patio heaters ehich made it a pleasant temperature to be able to sit out in despite being April in Tassie.

Popped in late arvo on a Friday. Few people about, but not too busy. Great little find, you almost wouldn’t know it exists! Old house transformed into a bar with lots of seating space and an outdoor area with a bus! Awesome vibes! Food was yummy, I would recommend the popcorn chicken dish to anyone who will listen! Lots of choice when it comes to beer - these guys prefer to support micro breweries etc, rather than sourcing from the likes of CUB etc, which is fantastic. So if CUB and mainstream beers are your jam, then this place may not be for you.

If I could give 3.5*, we would. It’s not quite the 4* venue. 3* purely due to most things being more on the average side. The burgers were decent but not mind blowing, and probably most things were decent just not amazing. The mulled cider was tasty however I assume they wouldn’t have this all year round.

A brilliant Hobart CBD pub with a great indoor and outdoor atmosphere. The drinks menu is excellent with a good selection of local micro/boutique brewery beers + they have mead during the winter months. I loved the outdoor seating area that had ample room + fire pits during winter. Oh and there is a old bus which has been converted to form part of the outdoor seating arrangement! That is very cool.

You will laugh so much. They have set the bus up with small tables so you can spend plenty of time there drinking and eating all there fine food and local drinks. Straight up one of the best vegan burgers I've had in Hobart. A really tasty cheese burger vibe. I was pretty cut when they said they had no vegan buns. I guess because they go with a vegan/gf option they run out faster... Gotta keep that stock up. I've had lettuce instead of a bun on FOUR separate occasions. That's whack. Excellent selection of beers on tap and non stop beats. Really should host gigs out of that bus. Anyway.. loved it. Lettuce burg and all.

Delicious burgers of all kinds, large range of drinks on tap (there's always a cider or two and usually Ginger beer if you aren't a beer drinker). Vegan cheese platters, which are delicious even for the non-vegan. Excellent beer battered chips. Sunny outdoor seating and standing with fairy lights and heaters or fireplaces at night. There's also a bus you can sit in. The area is gated and dog friendly. Quite bustling on a Friday for after work drinks with a social atmosphere.

Great beer selection and good food. Nice beer garden. Access to bar is a little frustrating, as is quite small and can only be got to through the front door, not from the garden. When busy you can expect queues to get drinks, although the staff are friendly and efficient so the wait isn't too bad.

Nice place to meet up with friends, however the wait time for food is a bit ridiculous. I was told there would be an hour wait for food, it was fine with me because I was going to be there for most of the night. The things I found strange was that they had a smoking area and you weren't allowed to be served food in that area and the other seating area where you could eat was only meters, if not centimeters away from the smoking area. They should also pay more attention to the condition of the wooden seats/benches, as I got a splinter when I went to sit down on one of the wooden seats and tore a hole in my stocking when I went to try and move

One of my favorite places to eat, drink and chill in Tassie. I was only visiting Hobart for a few days and was recommended the vege burgers there as I'm a vegetarian. They also have meat and vegan if that's your thing. It was so good I had to go back a second day. Delicious food, superb home brews (go for the summer ale!) and the staff and atmosphere are quirky, friendly and fun. If you're in Hobart it's definitely worth checking out. Unfortunately I live in Perth so it will be a long while before I'm back 😞
