Great pub meals and good atmosphere. They don't seem to have the famous $10 menu any longer but you can still get a reasonable Rump steak for $14 I thought $7.50 for a Scooner Cascade Draught was a bit steep seeing as it's made up the street!

I went to this cozy bar for a dinner as it's not far from my hostel. Once entering the bar, I could feel the friendliness. I saw some old people were chatting and drinking and some families drank and dined with their teenage kids. I ordered grilled snapper which was fish of the day menu and it came with chops and salad, which is just the right amount for dinner. The taste was good and considering cheap. They have some burgers set which cost only $10. They have various drinks with very reasonable price, too. However, this place seems packed after 7pm.

What a pub should be. Great value meals, quick service and friendly staff. No poker machines.I had bangers and mash- two sausages on bed of mash potatoes. Best I've had for a long time. Give it a try.

Just had an absolutely amazing meal here, easy to read menu and plenty of selection, we took the only free table and despite of that, we had our meals, within 10 - 15 minutes, we could barely finish them but didn't want to stop eating! Even tho it was busy the atmosphere was great, the music wasn't too loud either. The only issue we had, was probably the worst customer service, I have ever had in my life, the 2 girls chatting behind the counter, didn't even acknowledge us, and even after approaching the bar, and asking for a lunch menu (they only stopped their conversation to hand me a menu, and went straight back to chatting) nothing else was said to us, and they seemed to want nothing to do with any of the customers, the one serving us had a name tag, her name was Rochelle. Other than that, the venue, food, and set up was pretty much perfect. I definitely recommend for a nice lunch or drink.

The best pub in town. Staff are amazing! And the beers taste great on tap and are cheap. One afternoon I came here, they had free food!!! Highly recommended for a "pub". Good meals and an outside seating area (mainly for smokers).

This was not where we were going for lunch but so glad we changed our mind. The food was the best pub meal we have had in years!! Very reasonably priced, big portions and so tasty. Had the rump steak and seriously, you could cut it with a butter knife......so tender and flavourful! Will be back to try more of the menu! Must have a meal here!

I ordered the shamrock burger and it is huge with fries as side dish. The burger is juicy and flavourful with serve with bacon, egg, beetroot and rocket. It would be nice if they put in pickles and pineapple.

It is often busy, and you may have to wait for a table. This is a sign of patrons voting with their feet because the food and servicevis so good, and prices very reasonable. It attracts a crowd from town so us oftwn easy to park nearby after 5.00

It's OK. Standard pub food, no flair. Not a lot to say here except that it's food and you can eat it but not necessarily remember it a week later, sort of thing. I think the price point is low, so that draws people in more than anything else.
