Stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2022. Good location - within walking distance to shops restaurants between Salamanca and Sandy Bay. Rooms come with free parking which is great - does get pretty full in the evening but can't complain. Rooms are clean and tidy, with a well equipped kitchen. Staff are quite friendly and we enjoyed our stay here.

Serviced apartments - no minibar/snacks provided, but has a cooktop & utensils so you can make your own meals (tea and coffee provided tho). All good if you don't want to cook tho, heaps of restaurants nearby. There's a bottlo next door & supermarkets a 5 min walk down the road. This place doesn't do shower gel, just bar soap, so if you prefer gel bring or buy your own. Reception team are great! Keep a room key on you at all times - if you lock yourself out after 9pm you'll be charged a callout fee for security to let you back in. Free wifi, TV, comfy beds, good sized rooms.

Stayed on level one in a deluxe superior studio. Room was modern and spacious with a nice bathroom, large TV, lovely balcony with comfy bed for a fair price. Had views of the bridge and river at night. Would stay here again. Within easy walking distance of restaurants and wharf/markets. Parking was alright, plenty of spots, a little narrow but no real complaint. Asked for a late checkout and was provided without issue.

I stayed at St Ives under very stressful circumstances. My husband was admitted to hospital with broken neck and I flew interstate to be with him and care for him in hospital. The team here were so thoughtful, considerate and showed genuine empathy for my situation. They bent over backwards to help me with whatever I needed. The hospital was unable to give me a firm date on when my husband would be cleared to travel back home to QLD and with the peak holiday season upon us, it was stressful not knowing if how long I should book or where I would end up. The team extended my stay, and moved bookings around (did NOT cancel any customers)so I could stay in the same room. They really went above and beyond for me and i am so grateful to them. I will never forget the kindness they showed me. This property is in such a great location, easy walk to salamanca markets, restaurants, the city, wharf and marina. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Lots of noise, just easy to hear noise from other apartments. The room had opened milk in the fridge obviously not checked by cleaners. The girl on reception was super friendly and walked me through getting the TV off audio to actual channels. It was a shame about the constant noise from other apartments. The bed was firm and comfortable.

Comfortable apartments in a convenient location near the Salamanca Markets and harbour precinct. Our room was adequate for our needs, with a small kitchen and decent sized bathroom. The room itself was clean and serviced daily. A bonus was that even though the hotel was completely booked, it was still very quiet at night.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights during our trip around Tasmania. The apartment worked well as a central location for exploring Hobart and the surrounds (e.g. Port Arthur, Mount Wellington etc.). The apartment was well set-up and had all the necessary ammenities. We appreciated the space of the room and the extra large TV. The room was clean on arrival and remained clean during our stay with their prompt room service and change of linen. The area itself was peaceful and there was no issues with noise from outside of neighbouring rooms. The only two gripes we had were old cigarettes and cigarette packets on the balcony outside, and the subpar reception we received when returning keys on check-out. Staff had previously been very nice and welcoming there but the gentleman was not as friendly. Overall we enjoyed staying here and would stay again.

Comfortable rooms to stay in. We had the double story one with bedrooms upstairs. That was nice as it looked over the harbor and we could see the Queen Elizabeth ship leaving. Very quiet location as well and so close to Salamanca. Would highly recommend.

St Ives Apartments was just lovely. It does it's job well and fine. Receptionists are real friendly and helpful. Rooms are equipped with good shower facility and kitchen. The location is also perfect, just 5 min stroll to Salamanca Market area. Parking lots were plenty as well. I would recommend anyone visiting Hobart to stay with them.

For the price, this place was great. It's easy to find, and it's just a short walk to fabulous restaurants and to the city. Travelled with wife and elderly parents in early Dec 2018 and stayed for one night. This was a very comfortable stay. Clean room with large bed, full kitchen facilities (stove, microwave and all the cooking equipment you need), safe walk-in showers. For a little bit of luxury, there was a balcony area (view was ok for my room), a dining area, couches and plenty of space in the room. There was a receptionist on duty, wifi access, free parking as well. Location-wise, it is a short drive to most great places in Hobart city centre. There is really nothing to complain about.

Very happy with our stay there. Reception was very helpful with suggestions and directions. They forgot to provide us with coffee and tea and toiletries for one of the days during our stay but that’s wasn’t really a problem for us.

We booked a room for 2 adults and our 9 year old son, we also have a 2 year old that co-sleeps with us. We were charged an extra $40 for our 2 year old to sleep in the same bed as us but didn’t receive any extra towels ect to compensate the charge.

Absolutely loved my stay here. The room has kitcken facilities, a large bathroom and seperate lounge and bed area, as well as free parking for guests. I feel like we could not have been in a better location with everything in Hobart only minutes away. The little private balcony was the highlight though, being able to sit out there and watch the sunrise with a coffe will not be forgotten any time soon.

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the St Ives Hotel, even though the outside looks old the rooms are modern and have been updated. Rooms are clean, tidy, roomy and extreamly comfortable. Situated just a 10min walk from Salamanca Place and is an easy walk from restaurants and shopping. Great place to stay if you are planning a week long holiday in Hobart.

The LCD TV in front of the bed is also very large, at least 50 or 60 inches, and looks very comfortable. The kitchenette is very convenient to use. And because I like to read, there are large desks, minimalist wind lamps and reading lamps on the bedside, which more fully meet my needs. After I walked the Hobart CBD on foot, I was more satisfied with the location of St. Ives. It was quiet in the middle of the night. The house in Battery Point in this area was really beautiful, like a fairy tale. Within a 10-minute walk you can reach the Salamanca Market. The supermarket is not far away. There are also a few 5-10 minutes walk. It is really convenient to stay here. It is a great choice. Super nice staff we were even able to leave our luggage there 3 days in advance because we drove to Queenstown beforehand. Everything is nearby for self-catering, the 9/11 bottle shop is right next to the hotel's car park. Coles supermarket can be reached in 10 minutes, even the grilled chicken is still hot when you get back :-) We say THUMB UP and can recommend it 100%. Super nettes Personal wir konnten unser Gepäck sogar 3 Tage vorher dort abgeben weil wir vorher noch nach Queenstown gefahren sind. Für die Selbstversorgung ist alles in der Nähe, der Bottelshop 9/11 ist gleich neben dem Parkplatz vom Hotel. Coles Supermarkt ist in 10 min zu erreichen , selbst das fertig gegrillte Hähnchen ist noch heiß wenn man wieder zurück ist :-) Wir sagen DAUMEN Hoch und können es zu 100% weiter empfehlen.
