Best burger i have ever had, hands down. I ordered the buffalo chicken burger. The burger wasn't dry like other places, plenty of flavoursome blue cheese sauce inside. Amazing chips that were quite salty, but that's how I like them. This place is super busy all the time, so there was only outdoor seating by the time we arrived. I'll be bringing my family here next time we're down as the food is actually worth the 40 minute wait and the sitting outside in the cold.

Without a doubt the best pub in Hobart. Great beer, delicious food (including YUMMY vego options), pool table and an arcade room, which makes this old school gamer girl very happy. Staff are awesome and just ooze enthusiasm and love for what they do. P.S. The photos of dogs with inspirational quotes in the ladies toilets always bring a smile to my face.

By now, you already know this is a pretty popular watering hole. I've been here plenty of times and each time, 5 stars. This American styled bar makes no effort to hide what it is, from the food to the art, this is 'murica at its best (Donald Trump Free). Plastered through out the venue is a range of American memorabilia and if that doesn't lure you into singing the Star Spangled Banner, the food bloody well will. I opted to have the buffalo wings (they have ATOMIC WINGS if you're feeling brave, I was not) followed by the buffalo burger. Have a look at the photos, like reaaaaallllyyy closely... looks good eh? Tastes even better! My mate had the classic burger and as per usual, polished that down. Plenty of options when it comes to grabbing a bevie while you wait on your meals (20 mins is what we waited for, pretty darn good considering it was packed) and if you're unsure about what to get, the bartenders are a wealth of knowledge and always willing to help. This is a must go to place and one that will truly be around for a while by the looks of things. Will be back. Will recommend.

I frequently dine and drink here and the BEST ribs in Hobart are found here! Perfect level of smokeyness! The best smokeyness! I think any negatvity towards the smokeyness is pure jealousy! No matter how nonsensical complaints can be, no staff will ever get butthurt......a rare thing to find these days!! The beer is the best ive ever had!

My favourite pub in Hobart. Always find myself here everytime I come down. The choice of beers is second to none and you can always get a dirty feed. If you need help selecting a beer ask for Rob. He's the main man at the pub and will always find exactly what you want!

Waffles, bacon, chicken all really dry. I was super hungry didn't even think about it at first. The Winston is a great place for food and drinks with friends. They have a good selection of beers on tap that changes regularly. Their food is delicious with very decent portion sizes. The Winston has a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. This makes the Winston a popular location so there is often a wait for food or a table, but it's worth it.

Utterly amazing American style food, the best cheeseburgers outside USA with out a doubt, lovely brisket, wings and pulled meats, loads of hot sauce, cutlery and serviettes available, loud atmosphere which is not for me but the food keeps me going regardless, a must try for visitors...the locals already know how good this place is as it is packed most nights. Now doing micro brewing with a tasty variety and selling takeaway cans also, bloody beautiful cold craft beer :)

Took forever to pick a place, ended up here. I like my American places. This one was very good. A 40 minute wait in food but that's not a bad thing. It was busy. Better to be upfront. The burger was ok, just as expected. I thought there would be a few more beef options but they went with chicken. The wings we're great. Hit, buffalo-y. Fries weren't good. Too thin so they turn to stone as soon as they get cold. All in all though a good place to eat for one night in Hobart...

Easily the best bar in Hobart for casually soaking up the finest ales and other crafty concoctions. Laid back, unpretentious crew dishing up great food and brews make for one of my all time favourite destinations. Make sure to try the Carolina Reaper Buffalo Wings.

I think I went at the wrong time though (9pm). It was full of loud, drunk people who kept swearing and carrying on at the top of their lungs. I kept getting bumped into sitting at my table by these people also, I had to move my table to against the wall to stop it from happening. The atmosphere was very dim, loud, art deco, pub vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful though and the cheeseburger that I ordered was incredible, very delicious. I would go again, just not at that time - If you don't like that atmosphere either I'd recommend going later around 9:30pm/10pm.

Brilliant food, staff and environment. It's always nice coming here for some drinks and a meal with friends. Sometimes I've come here for their hot food as they're the only place that have used Carolina Reapers (Reaper Creeper Burger, Atomic Wings) etc. Atomic wings are truly atomic, proceed with caution.

A popular joint in North Hobart and for good reason! The Winston have a solid brand based on a great menu, their own craft beer range and their loyal customer base. The Winston have been suggested to be one of the better burger places in Hobart and after trying out their "OG" burger which compromises buffalo chicken, bacon, special sauce sandwiched between two waffles; I agree! It even came in a dog bowl since the theme of the Winston is based around a dog of the same name. If you're lucky enough to get a table (they don't take reservations I believe), it's worth spending time at!

The Winnie is an institution in Hobart. Fantastic American-style food (including the best cheeseburger you'll find anywhere, bar none). The tap list is always changing and there's never a shortage of quality local, national and international brews available. Just bear in mind that during busy times there's often a lengthy wait for food, although this seems to have eased up of late. There's always a great atmosphere, so do yourself a favour and check them out.

The Winston has a great, bustling atmosphere and was a wonderful place to sit with my friends. Their chips were delicious too. Unfortunately though, I was disappointed with my main course. I ordered the "mr kiehne's southern chicken burger", minus the Chipotle Mayo as I'm not a fan of chipotle. When I think of Southern-style chicken I think of an explosion of flavour - garlic, onion, paprika, maybe some cayenne, definitely some salt and pepper. Unfortunately there was none of that. The burger was obviously relying on the mayo for the flavour because the chicken was absolutely bland. I couldn't fault the fresh, soft bun, the lettuce was crisp and the tomato deliciously juicy. But the chicken, although moist and cooked to perfection, was absolutely tasteless barring a slight smokiness/oiliness from the cooking process. You know there's a problem when even your chips have more seasoning than the chicken. Sadly, as a result of that, I had to leave the burger largely uneaten. If you want a chat, cold beer, great chips, or famously good chicken wings then this is the place for you. Just avoid that Southern Chicken Burger.

Craft beer real Hobart pub. Sit at the bar with a view to the pool table to hear the laughter and fun while trying the ever changing beer menu. One will find beers here unavailable elsewhere in Hobart and the local taphouse brews, crafted by Chris. This is a local pub and great meeting place. Check out the interesting food menu. Well serviced by buses up Elizabeth St from town and a short cab fare from Salamanca. The walk back to Central Hobart is downhill and surprisingly quick.
