Not sure why some people think the food is Greek inspired when it clearly states in the menu the Turkish owners have given authentic foods a modern twist. The location and view is what tips this place from a 3.5 to 4 stars. Great atmosphere and good food. Ingredients are fresh and some of the dishes are a knock-out (beef köfte), but some can be a small let down (I'm looking at you fish and chips, or could possibly be renamed batter and chips). Will definitely visit again as the staff were super friendly :)

Arbory float is a great summer day location in Melbourne to enjoy the weather, some food drinks, nice views and decent menu options. The menu here is Greek inspired and they do a good job of it, with nice summery flavours and good serving sizes. Staff are friendly and service is good, although not table service. Good hangs

Nice casual dinning space right on the Yarra in the heart of Melbourne. Good vibes & eats to be had here, prices are what you’d expect for a restaurant situation on the waterfront. Definitely recommend coming down before sunset and picking a seat facing towards the water for a great view with your meal.

I booked Arbory for a special occasion and I had an awesome experience, thanks to the manager Sarah! She made customised changes to a set menu based on our dietary requirements and she was very professional and helpful. Sarah made our event an amazing experience, highly recommend to visit the place for nice dinner/drinks or celebrating special events.

The pizzas were unexpected good and they have very nice vegan cheese to swap out the regular cheese from the veggie pizzas! Loved the truffle pizza! Lovely service! A little pricey but you pay for the great view and location and the food didn’t disappoint! :)

I love the concept of Arbory Afloat and the setting but the staff here really do let them down. I have been here quite a few times now and the staff seem to be getting worse. On last night’s visit we stood at the bar waiting for about 5 mins to be served. Now that’s generally not a problem, but there was 4 staff members standing behind the bar having a good old chin wag discussing their private lives and clearly not paying attention to customers waiting to order. We found a table pretty easily but it was full of dirty plates and glasses. The venue wasn’t nearly as busy as I’ve seen it previously. The plates and glasses sat there for a good 5 minutes before we moved to another table. I then watched as the table was finally cleared. To my surprise there was no use of cleaning chemical to wipe down the table. It was just a clear of the plates and glasses. With COVID rampant in Melbourne this is very concerning. I am genuinely a fan of the place, but the staff really do need better training and supervision.

Really nice place for a few beers and wines on a hot day as it gets cool breezes from the water. Lots beers on tap. Plenty of wines. There are 2 x restaurant parts.. 1 afloat and 1 on the land. Next to each other. Afloat gets the setting sun right down along the river so is warm when the sun setting in summer. Very popular and fun place to drink and eat. Friendly staff. Worth a visit.

Fabulous addition to the Melbourne bar scene. Can’t get much closer to the Yarra than this! Conveniently located right near Flinders street station. Always busy on a nice day which gives it a high energy vibe. Relax on the lounge or enjoy a couch, but come to drink and chill.

The place is unreal. We were looking for a pub with a good view of yarra, and it can't get any better than partying in a boat that's docked in yarra 😀 the seating is quite cozy, they have installed a small fountain and pool which goes well with the relaxing ambience. Had some drinks, nothing exceptionally expensive. Will definitely be going again.

Fun place to have a drink, soak up the sun, (when it's out) and check out the city skylines. Well priced drinks, can get busy so maybe book if you don't want to wait in long lines but I've found I've been lucky and managed to walk in most times and get a seat.

We travelled from SA to spend New years Eve on the Arbory Afloat with friends, we were on the Upper Deck, what an amazing night, food was beautiful drinks were great, atmosphere was fantastic. The kitchen staff worked so hard and the fellow that ran the seafood table thankyou you were amazing and the seafood was divine. My big shout out of the night goes to the staff member named Kat, thankyou Kat for fighting your way through the tables and chairs to offer us food from the serving trays, I think everyone else gave up because we were tricky to access. Thakyou again Kat you are awesome.

Our last day of summer was perfect at Arbory Afloat. We were here for a joint birthday lunch. Has a great vibe and atmosphere. What a great place to have some drinks by the river. We ordered tacos, calamari, ceviche, pizza and fish & chips. No complaints about the food and the servings were quite generous.

We came into the city for Boxing Day to stay at Crown and have a micro vacation for a couple days and always wanted to try Arbory Afloat. The weather was lovely, the booking was a great table next to the water, and the staff beginning with the WuFlu security guy at top, to the great greeting at reception, to all the waitstaff who were absolutely annihilated by the busy crown were amazeballs. The menu was limited for Boxing Day which did disappoint at first, but we will 100% return to try it all again very soon. The food on order was relatively quick, delicious, hot, and whether it was Lucas at the bar or the gentleman who delivered the food (can't remember his name or the two female barstaff) it was super friendly and professional and considerate and you usually don't associate that with places where you order at the bar and they're trying to get out 3,000,320 meals at once. What looked at the potential to be an indifferent but well-located tourist attraction at first (we are locals) turned out to be a perfect city destination within mins of our fave hotel and mins of the CBD. What more could you want? EPIC on all levels..

Great view to the Yarra river, it does feel like your on the boat as you can feel the moment when sitting down but what an experience! The food was amazing, oysters super fresh and you can help yourself to a massive Tabasco sauce if need, pizza was super relishes my favourite was the verace which had the buffalo mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, tomato & basil. With the drinks their massive gin tonic known as Tanqueray rangpur London (fevertree elderflower tonic & pomegranate)!

Was told that this is the quintessential Melbourne experience. Great location and atmosphere for a drink near the river. Starters such as oysters, calamari and antipasto are crowd pleasers and apt for the venue. Choices for main menu need some work: we got tacos with whole fried fish and tomahawk steak. Ended up just eating fish and steak as it was messy to DIY and the condiments were lacking.

Stopped by on a sunny day and found it not too busy and very pleasant sitting beside the Yarra. Ordered the crab sandwich and my partner got the chicken sandwich. The crab was pretty delicious, with a nice brioche bun. Chicken was a bit disappointing for the price, $21 for just a bit of chicken and jarlsberg. Also took over 20 minutes to make my partners cocktail even though they weren't too busy. Still it's such a great position and vibe, and will definitely come back.

Wow what an amazing place for drinks! This place is so good as it is sun drenched and the atmosphere is just so incredible. Really good vibe! They have nice music and is always pretty busy. Stumbled upon this place when bar hoping with some friends. We were hungry and they were one of the only places with a real menu that was still open. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with waffle fries. So so yummy. The sandwich was great (though I’ve never had a Cuban anywhere else to compare it to). The waffle fries were even better plus my friends never had waffle fries so I was happy to tell them that these were a great example. We were able to snag a seat facing the water which was nice but it was very very dark so it was next to impossible to grab good photos. I ended up turning on the flash which seemed to distract the group sitting behind us. Overall I would eat here again and I would recommend it to anyone in the area for a full meal or chill spot to be outside.

I came here on Tuesday lunch with my friends. The view was extremely excellent, food was so yummy, staffs very friendly and helpful. But there is 1 minus point is that it took too long for the food. We ordered 2 serve of steak and 1 serve of grill chicken and it took around 30 mins wait. But its acceptable cuz they have perfect view and very good beverage. Definitely comeback on weekend. Dropped in for a drink after watching tennis on Saturday night. This place was bustling and has a great vibe, excellent views of the Yarra and city, possibly the best best spot to soak in the city atmosphere. Plenty of seating with competitive priced drinks. Only criticism would be the sangria was very light on any alcohol and flavour. Will definitely drop in again to give this place another go!

I think this is a must do in Melb if youre into fun bars and restaurants. The scenery was really nice on the day I went (summer evening) and there was quite a few people on this Tuesday night though it wasnt packed. I went another day on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty hard to find a table. Servers were friendly and pretty attentive. Drinks weren’t too bad, they were pricey for an on-tap cocktail where there isnt too much control over the outcome of the drink but I enjoyed my peach spritz. Small bites was pretty hit or miss- calamari was mushy and not crisp but the chips were a nice texture; however this is definitely a place more for an afternoon drink than a fancy meal anyway. Decor was very cute though and good if youre here for some nice photos and atmosphere.

Miami Vice eat your heart out...lol loving the new vibe on the float this year pastels , palm trees with a splash pool while floating the day away on the Yarra people watching. Had the beef short rib tacos with condiments was melt in your mouth material full of flavours and had some balls about it & the squid was just yummmm tender and delicious while sipping on a carafe of Aperol Spritz to wash the goodness down, the only thing that stops me from giving this place a 5 stars would be the prices other than that I’ll be back for another cheeky midweek catchup.

The ambience of this venue is wonderful, situated right on the Yarra River. The food and cocktails are great but the customer service is very slow. The staff are very friendly but when the crowds began to pick up and the venue got busy, the service failed. They couldn't keep up with orders and forgot some of the items we ordered. More staff probably need to be added during the busy hours but other than that, the experience was good.

The Trout and Swordfish were both amazing but it's a bar so very crowded and noisy. Not a place for serious chats or a romantic meal. I do love the vibe but if you get seasick I do not recommend it since it rocks a little. Good fun having a pool on board!

There are plenty of places to sit from tables to day beds to lounge chairs, they also have a pool which u can swim in free of charge. They have lovely parasol seating with bed-like couches where you can lie down completely if you please, perfect for a date night with stunning view of Yarra river. Minus one star for not very attentive staff, ignorant at best and most of drinks were sold out when we were there. We got "cocktails on tap" which seemed to be just tonic water. I guess you go here for the view, and we had an enjoyable time.

Honestly pretty disappointed compared to last year. The drinks quality has really gone downhill (awful watery pina colada and the most vile sangria), and the food was fantastic but ridiculously expensive even for Melbourne ($27 for a sandwich). It’s such a nice place to sit and chat by the river, but we couldn’t hear each other over the blasting speakers. I won’t bother coming back this year.

I prefer this place during the day as it's a lot more chill and a nice place to grab food and relax in the sun. The Pimms Jugs are great and I love the mushroom pizza. I find prices to be quite reasonable. The wait staff are really nice but the bar staff can be a bit hit and miss. We've had lovely and friendly bar staff that are chatty and professional. Whereas we've also had staff that cannot pour a beer properly, either too much head or filled an inch from the top (looks like someone took a massive sip) or staff that are not engaged or just jerks. The positives massively outweigh the negatives though.

As always Arbory has excelled again. The location is fantastic and it is a beautiful floating bar with plenty of areas to have a quiet or party drink, depending what you want. I suggest going during the week if you want to sit down, it is packed on a Friday and Saturday night

We had a table at the very end of the walkway, towards Federation square. Both drink and food were great. We were only going for nibblies and we had the cold-cut platter as well as the calamari. Later on we finished off with some hot wings, but they were drenched in a honey marinade and were way too sweet and sticky. The only real downside was the music volume. Nearly impossible to make conversation and there was no dance floor around.
