Great place for meal! Super friendly staff, cold beer and consistently good pub fare. We make the Blackwood pub the destination when dirt bike riding in the area. There is an undercover verandah out the back and tables out the front where you can feel comfortable when in dirty bike gear.

Food was spot on. I was with a group we stayed for lunch and everyone loved the food. The drinks were cold and the staff were welcoming. Great pub to sit and watch the world go by.

Just had the red wine and rosemary lamb shanks and mash and veggies. Great effort. The shanks were as they should be as was the mash. The surprise bonus was the veggies were still a bit crunchy not soggy and overcooked like so many places seem to serve them up. Perfect. Keep those crunchy vegetables coming. Highly recommended.

A nice country pub yet lacking in areas. Almost zero atmosphere. No presence of music, tv’s all off and no football on a Saturday night and no live entertainment or anything in their absence. Food was tasty without being great. Chips need work. $5.60 for a pot of draught beer.

Penny and the wonderful staff made me feel very welcome. ( like I was a local.) I was invited back the following week to see a live band. Who were well worth the trip. Great country atmosphere. Would gladly travel there again, good food and company. Make sure you check out when they have live music again. And say hello to Penny👍

Great value all round.... we had a table of 14, the kitchen pumped out the meals and they were brilliant. My steak as medium rate was spot on, the mixed grill had the largest variety I've seen in a long time, sticky lamb got great reviews and same for all the dishes. Really reasonable prices especially considering the sizes. A great old pub with good spaces, really old school. Great staff and the bar prices were really affordable. There was a band on and out was worth the journey out there. Must give the biggest praise to the kitchen staff!

A pretty typical pub for a small country town. Intimate vibe, a few locals drinking during the day. Women's netball on the big screen. I assume there is a bit more action on a Saturday night! Only stopped in for a beer so can't comment on the food. Staff were lovely though.

Popped in on a Friday midday with my motorbike club and the pub gave us a big hug like Nan used to - warm, cosy and smelt like ciggys. We ordered 5 meals and they all were absolutely great. Parma - crispy, good sauce ration and great size Steak Sanga - caramelised onion was incredible Burger - a juicy delicious treat, big in size (can only imagine what the big burger would be like!) Chicken burger - 9/10 bloody beautiful Duck Springs - phenomenal sauce Great to be at a good old country pub, especially after lockdown. Thanks guys

loved it here.... so, it seems, do a lot of people. It was busy the whole time we were there. Food was delicious and mostly reasonably priced. The bubbles were delicious and there was a friendly parrot that visited. Kinda cemented my enjoyment of the day. Def worth a visit. We will be back.

This is a once a year regular haunt for a group of friends and me. The pub might be old but the food is great, the people are relaxed, and the fire is usually burning. Love it.

Great place to go after 4x4 driving in the forest. My vehicle broke down and having been dragged to the blackwood hotel with a 2 hour wait for the tow truck driver it was relaxing to have a great meal and a few drinks watching the awsome view of the sunset. Definitely making a return to the blackwood next time I'm in the area
