Always amazing service here - very friendly. On top of that, the cocktails are on another level. They are outstanding. The seasonal menu is great. They put in the effort (very successfully) to capture the local Victorian essence while being totally unique and tasty. You will not find a single cocktail on this menu that you can buy anywhere else. Definitely try!

If I could I would go back here everyday just to try everything on their menu but unfortunately I have to pay rent :P . Their seasonal drinks are the most wonderfully balanced drinks I have had in recent memory and their prawn toast is to die for. The service and recommendations were very spot on. You can just go there and leave yourself in their hands and they will look after you. Thanks guys, keep up the good work and if I get a bonus this year I'm surely bringing myself and my mates over.

Unique, tasty drinks and food, and great service. We splurged and did the tasting menu with matching drinks. We thought the portions would be really small but we were full after 5 courses and the matching drinks were full sized drinks. The flavours were incredible and the drinks matched perfectly. Really well thought out! They also paced the meals/drinks well. The staff were super friendly throughout, explained all the dishes and drinks, and answered all our questions.

The drinks and food are absolutely phenomenal. Each drink has its own story to tell with different notes of seasonal ingredients. The bartenders and waiters are all super friendly and helpful too; we felt like we were really well taken care of. We will definitely be frequenting this place.

Cocktails amazing made, subtle and refined tastes. Really tasted flavour combos and ingredients I'd never seen before. Amazing service, great intimate ambience, funky music. Highlight was the Beef Tartare with Rhubarb in it and several of the in season cocktails. Will come back again

Lovely little gem of a bar, the service and drinks here are top shelf. No point talking too much about the drinks because they change every season, but whoever is in charge in on their A-game and we simply asked the waiter what to recommend based on our tastes. Cocktails were $20 for the high ball range to $25 for their seasonal cocktails. The mood and vibe was perfect, top marks for the decor. Only gripe I have was the location; can be a little tricky finding the bar. Definitely would be helpful if there was signage around to help out first timers.

such a unique experience! all the cocktails champions and inspired by australian native produce! if its your first time here you will need to advise the waiter so that they can explain the concept of their menu - this is important because every cocktail will come out and things just arent as they seem (all in a good way!) each cocktail is very intriguing! you will not find these cocktails anywhere else!

The drinks are so creative, original and delicious! The Hot & Cold absolutely blew me away, and was the group's favourite after tasting. Not Mezcal was skillfully made as the smokiness was present but not overpowering, and Momento Mori was akin to its name - bittersweet. I'm typically not a fan of bars in Melbourne because its usually overpriced simple-to-make mixed drinks, but Byrdi is on a completely different level. They also change up the menu according to the seasons, so be aware not to let the faves pass you by! It's so interesting and I'm excited to see what they have in store for the next season, despite the fact I'll miss the previous' season's drinks dearly!

Thank you Byrdi. This was absolutely delightful. Your identity. Your posit of an experience that is about the taste than the alcohol. I subcribe to it. Tonight I had the pleasure of having the following: Hot and Cold ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You just have to taste this. So delicious, so tasty. Reminds me of bubble tea with milk foam on it, but there's where the similarities stop. I don't want to spoil the surprise, please try this. Not Mezcal ⭐⭐⭐ Like smoky drinks? They pulled this off splendidly. It's 3 stars because it pales in comparison to the hot and cold. It's good, and the quality is there, but you might be left wanting. Fits the image and direction of the bar perfectly tho. Momento Mori ⭐(⭐⭐) Momento Mori is a reminder of death. To live life to the fullest because we might go at any time. This drink embodies that feeling. The bitter after taste, the earthy notes.. one might just appreciate living just a little bit longer. You do not drink this to be delighted. You drink this to remember why you should be delighted. _________ Service was attentive, great and I felt cared for. The prices are reasonable, and for once, you don't feel like you wasted your money on a cliche cocktail. Thanks Byrdi. We'll be back!

Hip cafe/ bar. Pour over coffee. Freshly ground and carefully brewed. Unique menu. Food mostly snacks. We had the salt and vinegar beans in a tempura batter and the lettuce hearts with pistachio and riberry vinegar. Both were very tasty. Range of unique cocktails. Did not try, but they sounded great. Nice open atmosphere. On the ground floor.

We went there for a few drinks and I was a little bit disappointed after hearing and reading so many good things about it. The drinks we had were fine, some had good flavors but mostly really bland. Service was fine but nothing special. The atmosphere wasn’t really welcoming or warm, feels a little bit like being in a food court.

A friend of ours referred us here otherwise we’d never have known about this spot.. I feel this place is too sophisticated for the spot it’s in.. it’s in the basement food court at Melbourne central, but should be in it’s own cocktail bar in the city or a funky suburb around the city (from the bartenders to the cocktails.. they were fantastic).. move to your own bar, you’d smash it ☺️

A MUST GO TO BAR IN MELBOURNE. theses guys make there own infused spirits using local produced. Come marvel at the single ice cube in each class which is custom cut for their glasses. They also have great snacks. We had a paved with egg yoke and passion fruit infused sauce. This place is a truly Melbourne foodie and drink experience.
