Great place for a weeknight pub feed. The Parma is thicc and juicy with the fries hot, crunchy, and soft in the right places where it counts. I imagine this place truly goes off on the weekends, but have yet to be able to find my way in as they're always packed!

A great pub a short stroll from Prahran station. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful 20oC day, so we sat outside in the beer garden enjoying lunch, a few beers and the AFL. The food was great, and they have heaps of local beer on tap. If you are visiting during a busy time I suggest making a booking.

Wonderful lunch with friends at the College Lawn Hotel on Sunday. The food was tasty and fresh and we were able to easily order to our table. Such a great place to hangout with family or friends on any weather as it has indoor and outdoor seating area. Yes, it is kids friendly. The food portion and price are decent, and it tasted amazing. The grilled haloumi cheese, the burger, fish and chips, were all satisfying. Best of all is the beer battered chips. Liked it!

Great place to go for a meal and a drink. Love the atmosphere out in the the beer garden, but there is also plenty of seating in side if that's what you prefer. Love the ordering system that means that you don't have to hop up to order. Once you have placed your order, the food comes out in a timely manner and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely be heading back again.

What a great pub in Prahran! The portions were very generous for the price. The food was delicious, I would recommend the parma or Steak sanga. Drinks were cold and poured correctly. Service was fast and accurate, given we went during their January half price timeframe. The beer garden outdoor area had a lovely atmosphere with outdoor TVs showing live sports. Different seating options as well (i.e. booths, picnic style tables, high tables and bar stools, as well as more formal dining inside). The place itself is quite big so great for functions! I will definitely be back.

I had some birthday drinks at the beer garden on a Saturday evening and the staff were extremely accommodating; they handled asking people to relocate from our tables when we arrived since we had made bookings for a group of 40 and the place was very busy. All the staff were very friendly, and the beer garden is gorgeous on sunny days. It has some lovely planting on the walls making it feel comfortable, and has plenty of shaded seating for larger groups.

Always a fantastic venue to watch sport. Get here early for any international rugby match. The atmosphere is tremendous and the crowd appreciative of the sport. The staff do an excellent job at serving a crowd. We also come here for Super Rugby matches, and it's a lot quieter. If you want a meal, be sure you book a table on steak night, else you are generally OK just to turn up.

I spend Australia Day 2020 here. The venue is located in a cute street of Prahran. Awesome venue for beers on a Sunday day. Plenty of TVs to enjoy the sport. I had the pie meal for Oz day and it was delicious. Drink are a little expensive however you are located in a very wealthy area of Melbourne. Staff are rather nice .

Excellent beer garden! Be sure to get there early on a Sunday to get a spot (before 2pm at least) and if it's sunny go for the ones by the wall in the shade. Not much breeze gets through so it can get very hot in the shade. Decent range of beer, usually something a little interesting and plenty of classics. The chips are awesome, best to pair them with a Parma or fish.

We had a relaxed and fun work event at the College Lawn. The venue with outdoor area is really cosy and chilled. The best part is the staff who bent over backwards to make our after work team event enjoyable. The service of food was quick and good variation and quality, and the staff was so responsive and friendly. A great fun venue definitely recommended!!

Food servings are quite large & really delicious (I love the burrito). For being in the heart of Prahran it is great value for money too. The beer garden has a great atmosphere once it hits 5pm on a Friday. On a hot day they have spray fans as well on the roof. Staff are friendly & attentive as well.

A pretty good pub, old school which is great to see still, as they are tearing down all the suburban pubs. Was disappointing when the rugby World cup NZ game was on, they changed every tv in the place to show it. They could've left the cricket on at least 1 TV. Only negative, otherwise the atmosphere is good and the beer is cold 👍

However when proper ones arrived they were first rate and the waiter who barked at me for interfering with the light (fair enough I suppose) offered us free round of drinks for the kitchen stuff up. The College Lawn Hotel is a really nice venue. The outdoor area is beautiful in the sun on a clear day, there is a good range of seating, some well sheltered from the sun and some where you can catch some rays. Variety of beers/ciders on tap is fairly standard for Melbourne- Furphy is the "basic" beer on tap here if you were curious. Parmas are excellent, not cheap but a generous size with a nice size chips and salad.

Happy to see a smaller sized parma on offer. Had mine without ham and it was quite tasty. Other's in my group had ham and didn't enjoy their parma's as much. Beer list is good and sitting outside is lovely thanks to the many heaters on offer. Might want to look at some of the tables, ours was a bit unstable and we ended up with some beer lost when anyone got up or sat down, but generally a nice lunch.

This place is my workplace's go to pub dining experience. It's walking distance from the Alfred which makes organising functions more convenient; hence better turn outs. Food is very affordable and the aesthetic upgrades over the years are now really showing. Modern sleek interior and trendy beer garden vibes outside. Lively atmosphere and pleasant crowd and staff. The Tandoori Parma I tried was absolutely divine, such a great infusion of cultures and flavour. I also rather enjoyed the strong iced coffee that was made for me by the handsome bartender which was perfect as I had night shift ahead of the then Christmas Staff dinner we booked that evening. Their cocktails are also very good, forgot the name of the pink one I featured in the review but remembered chugging it down like the addictive lolly water or acted as at least for me haha. All in all, never had a bad meal here over the years. I recommend this pub for functions of all sorts, you should probably call ahead if going with a bunch of work mates as the place does tend to fill up during the lovely hours.

I stayed here a few nights, and wouldn't necessarily recommend it for anything other than an overnight layover in Melbourne. The noise from the street and pub downstairs continues until the wee hours, the mattresses are more spring than anything else, there is no hot water, and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The price is on the cheap end for hostels available in Melbourne, and the surrounding area was one of my favorite parts of the city. Easy access to public transportation, food, and groceries, and if you like walking, the NGV is only 45 minutes away.

Never had been here before the other day. AFL Grand Final. This place was packed. Three big screens to watch the footy. Two screens were in the undercover outside area in the front part of the place. The other screen was situated outside in the open back area for smokers. These days in Melbourne it is hard to find good smoking areas in many venues due to the non smoking conditions. The place was fun. The Security Guards were great too. My friend arrived late and a small line started to form. Due of the mass of people in the venue the Security had to allocate one person out one in. But she didn't have to wait for long coz the Security Guards let her in as it was coming to the end of the day and she had friends inside. So nice. Thanks for that. Mums dont get to go out to often. Little nice gestures such as these make for a nice outing. Thanks x

Good sized steak, comes with unadvertised caramelised onion on top, side salad of coleslaw lacked flavor but happily the manager swapped it over for a green salad. Sadly the leaves were not dressed. No Dijon mustard available but the horseradish cream was nice. Skip the beef jus - it's terrible. Overall average pub grub and service. New waitress gave me apple (rather than pear) cider. I would hope the a la carte menu is better.
