My husband & I went to Forrest Brewing Co. through some beautiful parts of Western Vic. We decided on the tasting paddle & the brewers board. Both were a great pair. The board was full of delicious flavours, some locally sourced. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable & incredibly helpful. Highly recommend.

We were staying next door to the brewery and decided to spend our Monday arvo there (yes, 12 til close ha). Highly recommend! Delicious food, chill atmosphere with great tunes and of course 11/10 bevs. Our fave was the strawberry sour! Doug, Jabba & Holly are all super friendly and accomodating. We would love to come back to Forrest another time and bring some more pals to enjoy the brewery! Keep doing what you’re doing legends

Might be out in the middle of nowhere but it's a very popular place and after tasting their beers and food, I understand why. Had their tasting paddle which included all the beers they had available and really enjoyed them all, good variety of beers. Shared the platter which was made up of some quality ingredients and would highly recommend, but I also did see quite a lot of burgers been ordered, they looked awesome and very popular. Service was exceptional, we were well looked after even though they were busy.

We had lunch here for the second time now. This time with covid restrictions they were very busy but handled the 'waiting list' very well. The beer was nice & refreshing and the food came quick and tasted great. Everything was fresh, hot and crispy. Staff was very friendly. Over all this is a great place!

Awesome boutique brewery. The friendly and knowledgeable staff offered us a free tasting of their tap beers. Could spend a whole afternoon in the relaxed indoor or outdoor seating areas. Very reasonable prices. We purchased takeaways to share with our friends. The pale ale was our pick.

Comfortable, welcoming and great music - Toby Keith and other Country Western on a CD. Food was excellent for everyone in our party except me. Found the buttermilk chicken on the spicy side but my friend had the same and even though she liked it, she did say it was spicy but not too spicy for her. When asked if everything was ok, I suggested the spice should be advertised for the chicken. He went to the chef and the word spicy was added to the board! Wow! That blew me away. Coffee was excellent. Would have been 5 🌟 if they had offered me a cuppa on the house or at least a cup of milk so I could eat the spice.

What can I say... This place was GREAT!!! Me and my wife have visited a lot of wineries /breweries in our time but this one really stood out for all the right reasons! Firstly, it was a great location and the interior was really welcoming for all kinds of visitor (there was a mums group sat outside having coffee- which is great to see) Secondly, the gentleman who served us was worth his weight in gold!!! Having a little taste of the beers with my wife (and our daughter in toe) he spoke to my wife as well as me about all the beers...something she loved! Normally its seen as something 'only the boys do'...so THANK YOU! Thirdly, make no doubt about it, these guys know their stuff! The beers are SERIOUSLY good and everyone who I spoke too had experience of brewing and knew their art! The guy who we spoke too at the bar had spend 7 years in California brewing (and gave me a few tips to take home). To conclude, I'd not normally write a lengthy review but these guys are offering REALLY REALLY GOOD beer, expertly crafted from local produce and OUT OF THIS WORLD customer service! I'd give 6 stars if I could!

After a magnificent scenic drive through the Otways, we stumbled on this little gem. This plce has live acoustic music and a buzzing atmosphere, along with some bery good beer. I started with the strawberry smacker beautiful sour and then moved onto the complex forrest fruitcake- so complex, like eating cake! This lovely brewery is located not far from Stevenson Falls where we were camping which we all were very glad for. They serve delicious burgers and food and very unique beers. Always have lovely staff who work there and are very friendly. We are always glad to come back to this brewery when we have a chance.

We thought the Pale Ale, IPA, and Stout were pretty average (we got some bottles to go), but the Cherry Whit was one of the best we’ve experienced. Great atmosphere and menu looked good. We’ll give it another go next time we’re in the neighbourhood!

Stayed in Forrest and decided to check this place out and was definitely not disappointed For lunch, my partner and i ordered the pulled pork burger and fritters. All very tasty and the beer made in house was quite good too! We loved lunch so much that we returned here for dinner. For dinner we got the porterhouse steak and fish and chips. Again, both very very delicious! Highly recommend!

Great brew pub with a variety of beers. Fresh hopped lager was a favourite after some nice cycling in the hills. Very nice, chatty staff. The town itself was pretty great and I enjoyed chatting to the locals while marshaling for the great victorian bike ride. Would love to visit with a bit more time.

This has the best food, fantastic coffee, the best beer and the staff are an absolute delight. The Silvertop Lager is the beer they serve in Heaven. Honestly, if you drive past you are doing yourself a huge disservice. You will thank me if you go here, and I mean a embossed, perfumed, hand written ‘Thank You’ letter. Am I raving too much? I most certainly am not.

Went there for tea for our 23rd Anniversary night away. We'd been there before a few years ago on a previous anniversary away and found it wonderful with very well done food, especially their pork belly. Also a great innovative selection.of nice beers presented on a beer paddle. This time though staff members seemed to not know a lot about the food, my wife's pasta was undercooked and quite bland, my steak was very underdone for a medium and had a large chunk of gristle and fat. A waitress noticed we were unhappy and offered us a glass of wine on the house to compensate. The beer and wine were excellent. Perhaps was a an off night.

Awesome experience! The menu is a short list of amazing selections. So cool to be able to see the brewing room from the dining area. Quality beer paired with quality food. Located off the beaten path, this hide away has a great environment for a casual date and a brewski! Hubby and I loved sitting here at sunset sipping on our beer and cider. We both enjoyed the food - hubby says it was the best steak he'd had in a long time and I enjoyed the fish and chips with homemade tartare. Lots of locals enjoying the place also, seemed like everyone knew each other ☺️ It was very relaxing. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch Open for dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday - sometimes with live music! Located across the road from Forrest General Store.

What a great find! First, the beers are amazing. Go for the tasting paddle. I settled on the Pale Ale because it has a robust, great taste, but there is something to suit every palate. Then, the food was the biggest surprise. We got the Twice-cooked Octopus with eggplant humus. Wow! And, the Portarlington Mussels were perfect. We've had meals costing four times as much which couldn't compare. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place to stop off for lunch, even if you're not a beer drinker (although hubby reckons the beers were pretty good too!). Duck sliders were yum, but the tortellini with mushrooms and ricotta blew us away - one of the best pasta dishes we've had in a long time. The wagu beef steak was very delicious. The fish n chips was a bit of let down. The fish was a bit too thick and suggy. Upon entry I was delighted by the subtle tones of Jack Johnson and was greeted by a friendly smile. Aromas of happy hops and scrumptious scents caressed my mind.
